TUI SUNEO Platja D'or

Just got back from a week at this hotel. Went with a female friend. The good bits are the staff are nice friendly and helpful. The food is just a buffet restaurant, but there was always plenty of choice. The beach just across the road is amazing with miles of turquoise sea and lovely beach which you can walk down to the marina. The entertainment team in my opinion save this hotel, particularly Simon Fronto and Alex, they worked so hard entertaining everyone during the day, with Darts, killer pool quizzes etc. The not so good bits, the rooms are very basic, and there is not enough cupboard space and most of our clothes were left in the suitcase. The pools are freezing, so they weren't used much. The manager (or I assume he was) booked us in on arrival, not smile or a welcome, just gave us our all inclusive wrist bands and key, and that was it. We seen him a few times around the hotel, but he didn't seem to interact with anyone. The evening entertainment is terrible, a few acts but very mediocre. The Elvis act, we weren't sure if he was being serious or not! They miss a trick here, they need to get some music playing and a disco to get everyone up dancing, as the evenings are just sat in the reception playing cards or chatting.

Just returned from a wonderful stay,as I am a coeliac (gluten free)I was very surprised when I arrived Sebastiava at reception told me I could order my lunch/dinner in the morning for that day and it would be brought to me at my table all I had to do was to give them my room number,I did this the whole of our stay and the food I had was fantastic especially Pasta/Pizza/Fish/and desserts which I let chef choose which included Apple crumble which was so delicious I had it 3 times with custard. I would like to thank all the hard working staff and a special thank you to Miriam/Augustine/Adrian/Clorenc/. The beach is to die for as it's nice to walk and paddle rather than sitting around the pool. We are definitely coming back all being well in September.

Here just now, lovely hotel, good and drinks good but whole experience being spoiled for me by people vaping around the pool . There are at least 3 around me puffing away. Worried if I say something there will be a scene. Not good

Stayed 12th-19th May. Had a lovely week for my 50th birthday. Sarah, the main rep was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area, and available every day, along with two others regularly. It’s mentioned about it being for the older generation but younger people started to arrive later in our week. We actually loved talking to the other guests, as many visit year on year and gave us great tips about bus routes etc. Everybody was so friendly and I can easily see why it’s a great choice for solo travellers. We enjoyed the food and felt like there was plenty of choice. It was the little touches for us.. like having the coffee machine available with a few pastries for if you wanted to take a drink with you to watch the sunrise on the beautiful beach. The drinks in the bar are a little hit and miss depending on what you like - beer not always great but a bottle of san Miguel is only 2 euros or we just added a little lemonade. Lovely sparkling wine. The room size was fine for us. It was kept clean with housekeeping daily -beds changed/made and towels replaced. Having a kettle, hairdryer, safe and a cold fridge that wasn’t noisy! was great. We could have done with a few extra hangers but the wardrobe is full length, bonus! The only negatives for us (which is our fault for not researching) is the external noise around the hotel. It’s nice that it’s quiet around the pool but it does mean you can hear the road if you’re in certain areas. We only stayed for two evening entertainments. One was not the best but everybody made the best of it, but the Tina turner and sax act were fab! There are a couple of bars within walking distance but we wished there was more within the immediate area. It’s a lovely walk along the beach to the harbour with lots of beach bars. 10 euros max in a taxi to the old town which we ordered from reception and arrived in no time. We enjoyed it and feel its great value for money.

Just returned back from my third holiday to this hotel. Travelled as a solo traveller this time from 10th to 17th May 2026. First of all, the hotel is immaculate and kept very clean at all times including rooms and communal areas. Check in was quick and everything was explained even though I had been before and reception staff were very friendly. I did have an issue with being locked out of my room and the whole unit needed replacing but the lady on reception was so helpful and went out of her way to get this sorted for me. Bar staff work so hard, even when there is a queue I never waited more than a few minutes and it was always service with a smile - special mention to Tony who always seemed to be there! Good range of drinks and nice coffee when you order from the bar. Cava was also very nice! Pool area is a good size and never struggled for a subbed even if I went down at 10:30am. There are loads more sun beds on the grass area behind the smaller pool so can’t see getting a bed ever being an issue. Beach is literally a 1 minute walk through a gate across the road. Food was good with breakfast being my fave. You can also have snacks from pool snack bar if you don’t want to go into restaurant at lunch time. Sometimes I went down 30 mins before end of meal time and still lots of choice and fresh. Night time entertainment was decent with a mix of rep lead entertainment and professional shows including supremes, Lionel Richie and Elvis. Rooms aren’t huge - especially as I had a single room but nice big balcony and walk in shower and plenty of wardrobe space with shelves and a safe which you don’t have to pay for. Rooms have a kettle and a fridge and air conditioning and cleaners came in every day. Will definitely be coming back for a fourth visit as hotel is great value for money in a fab location, staff work so hard and hotel kept immaculate
