AluaSoul Carolina

Myself and my mother in law traveled to aluasoul Carolina for a weeks holiday (left our husbands at home) in June. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Yes it is a 2hour transfer from the airport but it was worth it. On arrival to the hotel we had a warm greeting from gentleman on reception and was given a drink, we arrived 15mins before lunch was due to end so he suggested we went and got some lunch whilst he checked us in. Check-in was smoth and paid for our pool towel card. We had been upgraded to a room on the top floor and the view was spectacular, the facilities in the room were perfect, mini bar, kettle and coffee machine. The bathroom and bedroom area was kept spotless and our towels were change each time we indicated we needed new ones, I always take coat hangers when I go away, I needn't have bothered this time as there were loads. The restaurants were great, nice outside eating area where we ate all our meals in the main restaurant, great variety of dishes, you defo would not go hungry with the selection, however would have liked a little more variety off the grilled like different meats, pork seems to be cooked most of the time. However it didn't bother us. The breads were amazing and great to have proper butter, big plus. All restaurant staff and chefs were super friendly and very efficient. The Italian restaurant was amazing, booked it the day before at reception, the guy serving was wonderful and the food was way beyond expectations, the salmon pasta was so delicious, gutted I didn't ask for the recipe as would love to recreate it at home. The bars were great, could be a bit of a queue at pool bar but if you judge tour timing OK its not to bad. Round the pool you pay 1 euro for a token for your glass whichbis great as stops single use plastic and stops people leaving the glasses round the pool area, you get a clean glass each time and love the fact the correct glass for each drink used eg flute for cava. You get your euro back at end of week. Lobby bar was also great and again friendly staff. Pool area was really good and kept clean, loads of loungers, only little down side would be pool is quite small for size of hotel, but not much can be done about this, also would be better if there were toilets by the pool, you have to go up steps or a slop to get to the toilets. Access to the beach from the pool area was great. The location is very quiet and quite residential, which suited us for our relaxing break, however there is a bus and land train 1 min walk from reception that can take you to a busier resort for the day. All in all had a fantastic holiday and would defo recommend to friends and would come again.

Group of ladies celebrating 50th birthday and it ticked every box! Rooms are lovely and spacious Comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space and shower was powerful. Hotel exceptionally clean, nice bar area with lots of lounge space both inside and outside. Pool was small but enough to keep cool. Aqua aerobics is brilliant and really keeps you entertained. Direct access to the beach is an added bonus and it’s a lovely sandy beach

Lovely hotel. Great selection of food and drink. Live music was brilliant. The disco afterwards could of been better, but generally it seemed to quiten down anyway after the live music. Water in the rooms would of been nice. Nice clean rooms. Can eat at an Italian but must book a day before and they dont open on a saturday or sunday. Staff were friendly. Pool isnt massive but the hotel is on a public beach so its just a few steps down to the lovely sand and clear water. Good selection of drinks. The euro for a cup thing is abit annoying after a while.

The hotel is beautiful with breathtaking views of the beach and sea. The rooms although quite small are very modern and clean with good air con. The vertigo bar is stunning and well worth the upgrade, the barman up there is very good and friendly. The drinks are not included in the all inclusive deal in this bar but well worth paying for in my opinion. Pool temperature was perfect and pool staff very friendly, especially Mary. Pool is a little small but overall the pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds. Food is ok but a little repetitive and no coffees served at lunch or dinner. Reception staff also lovely and the club only area in the lobby was a favourite of ours to go for coffee. TV reception not great, gave up in the end after reporting it twice. Also it would be very helpful when checking in if you informed guests about the towel and token policy for drinks as we witnessed many people getting frustrated and then having to go back to reception to sort it out. Very remote area which we didn’t mind as the hotel was so lovely and relaxing. Long transfer (2 hours) but again this wasn’t a problem for us. Overall we had a great stay and loved the hotel and the scenery.
