Location is not very good, there is nothing around you, you have to get cabs everywhere, the closest thing is Cala ratjada town which is nice enough but is more restaurants and shopping. It’s a pretty view but that’s about it. Atmosphere was very off, our first day was awful and staff were so unhelpful. The rooms were clean which is good and clean towels were provided if left on the floor. However the pool towels you have to keep for the duration unless you stay over 7 days in which you get one free towel change for by the pool, if you want to change again this is chargeable. This isn’t great value for your money, we spend nearly 2k each on this holiday for 10 days so we didn’t have to spend a lot out there and we spent probably nearly 1k out there because half the drinks weren’t included anyways. The food at the pool bar gets mobbed by wasps which is disturbing, there is also flies that go all over the food so if you don’t grab it when it’s just come out the cooker it’s been sweating in heat all day being eaten by bugs! So unsanitary! Genuinely only come here if it’s close to you and is a short weekend, don’t bother going all inclusive, it’s not worth it.

Just back from Carolina and it is a superb hotel, food great and one of the best entertainment shows we have seen Nano and friend were excellent One little gripe was that if you needed the loo at the swimming pool you had to go up a bank and back into the hotel possibly toilets could be at the level of the swimming pool Blonde girl on reception was extremely helpful Wide choice at breakfast [food was not very hot] but still good other meals were excellent and snacks are available at the pool bar All staff very pleasant and welcoming

We stayed for 10 nights in September for a special anniversary based on staying at another AluaSoul earlier in the year, in Ibiza. This hotel had some positives and some negatives for us and this review is based on comparable hotels we have stayed at over the last 10 years. Firstly it’s very clean and tidy and well presented throughout. Room was cleaned each day with fresh towels and the cleaning staff topped up the fridge with water bottles. Hotel staff were all excellent and the excursions desk member was knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend requesting a high level room as the views are great. We were on floor 7. The pool area has lots of sun loungers although as per usual the German guests were reserving them early in the morning. You can pay to reserve them so take care!! Hotel is on a nice public beach. There is a bus stop and small mini train outside of the hotel on which you can easily visit local towns and beaches. Cala Agulla was a highlight although was absolutely heaving with people. Cala Ratjada was ok for some basic shopping requirements and has a gorgeous beach. Niggles for us……the pool is much too small for the size of the hotel and was very cold. We could have used the beach instead but a storm on day 3 meant you couldn’t really go in the sea after that as it went brown and full of seaweed. Attached pics are from day 1. Tennis court and equipment was really poor. Food was a bit boring. Same choices every night with a couple of tweaks for themed nights. Meat and fish was all a bit dry. Definitely not the best hotel food we’ve had. If we were on bed and breakfast basis we would have had to eat out and there weren’t many other eateries in the village. Hot breakfast items such as sausages, bacon, beans etc were always lukewarm so mostly just had freshly made omelettes so they were hot. Dessert choices were good. Evening entertainment was average. Nothing to do in the village. It is a very very quiet resort so you do have to travel around unless you just like to lay by the pool or do a bit of paddle boarding in the sea. Very few excursions available unless you travel 2 hours back to Palma. We would say a week at most would be best here. Overall it’s been a nice quiet break in a ok hotel but just a little bit disappointing for a special occasion holiday and I was ready to go home after a week. We won’t be returning.
