We booked this adults-only hotel mainly for the beautiful views and the promise of a calm, relaxing escape. The setting is lovely, the room and hotel are nicely designed. That said, a few things made our stay less restful than we had hoped. The hotel is quite remote, with no significant shops and only a couple of not so desirable restaurants within walking distance. Not a major issue as we went on the all-inclusive package. Even then, there’s an optional upgrade called “My Favourite Club” for extra benefits, which unfortunately creates a bit of an unfair divide between guests, yes you are all inclusive, but it’s not ALL inclusive, these people get more privileges than you, that’s bit of a slap in the face. The buffet dining was fairly basic. It leans heavily toward fish & pork dishes with not many other choices, meat quality left a lot to be desired here too. Evenings get uncomfortably busy in the restaurant, with food running low quickly and tables set very close together, so it did feel a little crowded. Breakfast was particularly simple, and the meat options were often quite fatty, we tended to skip breakfast as lunch was the best menu offerings and a much more relaxed atmosphere. The lobby bar and evening entertainment areas are nicely laid out, but most of the seating is arranged for bigger groups or tables of four, which didn’t always work well for couples like us. Drinks were fine, some better than others so it’s a case of finding what you like, they do add excessive crushed ice to limit the amount of alcoholic cocktails you get but that’s typically the way with all inclusive resorts. Worth noting a lot of drinks are not included in the all inclusive package but they have full menu breakdowns of what is and isn’t included. We also noticed quite a bit of noise during our stay. The doors have a gap the whole way around letting in light and sound. Since the corridors are all outdoors, the garbage collections in the middle of the night and early morning were surprisingly loud. Being awoken at 1:30am is deeply annoying, and then because the air conditioning isn’t available outside the summer months getting back to sleep was a sweaty struggle, it really ought to be - 6 months on/ 6 months off - whilst locals may find April and May to be too cool for air con, you work in tourism, you really should suit the needs of everyone. One thing that stood out was the policy on pets. Although it’s advertised as child-free, dogs are welcome around the hotel, and we frequently heard barking amd occasional noticed smells of dog and their ‘business’ when relaxing by the pool. The beach nearby is public, not private as it can sometimes appear in the photos, so there were families with children playing there instead, and then lots of volleyball being played which often was loud and a bit shouty, so it’s isn’t always as tranquil as you’d expect. The hotel offers WiFi but it’s really poor, which renders the offerings of YouTube and Netflix on the tv completely pointless, a nice idea poorly executed. Overall, the hotel has a nice look and a great location for scenery, but the combination of these issues made it feel like it could do with some tweaks to better match the relaxing adults-only experience it aims for. It might work well if the views are your main priority, but for us it didn’t quite hit the mark.
Safely driven transfer from the airport which was 2 hours. We arrived and were seen by Ana who told us everything we needed to know. The rooms were perfect with a private bathroom, the view was out of this world, fantastic beds and clean towels. The service from the incredibly hard working staff was fantastic and always with a smile. Entertainment every evening and a choice of bars. Board games and books available to borrow. Pool area spotless- recommendation would be to add solar panel’s to the pool bar and heat the pool it was freezing!! The beach is 30 seconds away and stunning!! My only gripe would be the food, as it is a buffet style restaurant the evening meals were cold, too much being put out so not filled little and often but didn’t go hungry there was lots of choices. Also bottled water extra which was disappointing. Towel hire and plastic glass hire good to as you got fresh when swapped. Would definitely come back and would recommend!!!
Went for a week in mid April and loved the location with a beautiful view over the beach and surrounding areas . The staff are very friendly and helpful with a special mention for Mari and Dani who work behind the bar . The food in the buffet was OK but if you didn't go in the restaurant early most things were luke warm and not kept topped up . Overall a lovely 1 week holiday.
Myself and my husband came here for our 20 year anniversary. We ABSOLUTELY loved our stay here. And will definitely return. We enjoyed every second of our weeks stay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel and location was beautiful. The food was good. I even had a massage in the spa and it was 10/10. Highly recommended to anyone staying here and looking for a relaxing holiday.
The area is quiet (was April though) and very very clean. Right on the beach’s doorstep. The hotel was really lovely & our room (8th floor) had views to die for. The food options were okay, all depends on personal preference as there was a lot of choice. Staff were always smiling and chatting & helped if ever something was needed.
