So exactly as my title suggests this hotel is good but not great and doesn’t really live up to some of the reviews on here. We arrived at night - a relatively friendly night porter checked us in but the whole process took about 45 mins, which, with a tired 4 year old was not great. We checked into our ‘triple’ room only to discover there really wasn’t enough room to swing a cat! And certainly not enough space to unpack. The photos are misleading on the website. Next morning we asked for a bigger room and had to pay €30 per night extra for a junior suite but compared to the triple room it was worth every penny. Food wasn’t ok - nothing amazing but seemed plenty of choice for everyone. They didn’t really cater for kids though. Bar drinks on all inclusive are restricted (aren’t they always) but even ice cream - if you want something more than a vanilla pot you have to pay extra for it. The pool - again NOT as big as the photos would have you believe and if you aren’t in the queue to reserve a sunbed at 07.30 (gates open at 8) then don’t even bother. There is a huge garden with sunbeds but in my opinion it’s a totally wasted space - would have been better to build another pool. Entertainment wise - these guys are fantastic!! They do such a hard job for little reward but they absolutely did their best especially for the few kids that were there. Location is great, so close to the shops and the beach, however I would say this hotel is not the best for families, especially with young children, although they do try! I think they are just trying to be something they are not.

Bar staff friendly, restaurant staff friendly however having stayed in lots of hotels this hotel is not a 4star, the shower goes hot and cold when it feels like it, the food is so basic as someone with ceoliacs I struggle to find things to eat but can always find something however we are on the 3rd day and I’m already looking to find somewhere outside the hotel to eat, the food is cold and no one seems to check the temperature to check if it’s hot enough to eat. I don’t know if it’s normal to put out sausages that are pink to look at but I certainly wasn’t going to eat them, there doesn’t seem to be any care in the food that is served. The pool is another story the gates are closed around the pool which is fine however people are then queuing to get a sunbed and when the gates open it’s like a free for all this could be because there are definitely not enough sunbeds for the amount of people at the hotel, so having paid nearly 3k for a weeks holiday we have not been able to sunbathe on 2 out of 3 days this is not acceptable. Sorry hotel Bahía we would not recommend and will not be returning.

Had a great stay at Bahia de Alcudia. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The location is ideal, close to the beach, shops and restaurants, and within walking distance of the old town. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Special mention to Toni at reception, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay and really made a difference. And also to Pako in the restaurant who was always so friendly and helped me with my Spanish!
