Blau Colonia Sant Jordi

We have just got back from a weeks stay here and we loved it. I went with my husband and our two little boys aged 5 and 3 and we found it perfect for their ages. The hotel was beautiful, we were upgraded to a garden suite which was lovely and in a great spot, near everything. All of the staff were friendly. The animation team were brilliant with our children and all the kitchen staff work so hard. The food was brilliant and varied. One of the days it was my husbands birthday and they set up a special table for us with some champagne which was a really sweet touch. The big swimming pool, the pirate ship, day activities were fantastic. There was never an issue at the pirate ship for a sunbed but the main pool if you wasn’t there by 10 it was a struggle, which was a bit of a pain if we had a later start in the morning. The evening entertainment was great! The mini disco was at 8:15-8:45 then the main show was at 9:30. Sometimes we found with our little ones it would be nice if it went straight into the show but one night they did the children tattoos whilst waiting which was a great idea. 2 days we went to nearby beaches. One day we went on the little train (you pay for) and the other time we took the free shuttle which was great going but we couldn’t work out when/where they were picking us up so we walked back to the hotel. It was only a 10/15 minute's walk but that was tough with little ones after a day at the beach with lots of things to carry. Overall I would recommend, especially with little ones.

Great location, lovely staff. Particularly enjoyed the thermal spa and massage by Valerie. Spa pool was good, other pools were small but fine for us with older teenagers. Great shuttle bus to the local beach, and further to Es Trenc. Good facilities at the hotel included gym, tennis etc. and nightly entertainment. Staff friendly and helpful. Only complaint was one of our rooms stank of drains, and our room didn’t so that was a disappointment, hence me not marking it as excellent. Quieter family resort than others as no water slides, snd smaller, which suited us. Good selection of food. Would come back.

We’ve just returned from a lovely stay at Blau Colonia Sant Jordi, and overall we had a really enjoyable holiday. It’s a fantastic hotel for families, with plenty of activities and entertainment for both children and adults, so there’s really no need to leave the resort unless you want to explore. There are three large pools, which gave us plenty of choice. My only suggestion would be to make the spa pool adults-only, as I think having one pool exclusively for adults would be a nice touch. That said, it wasn’t a major issue for us. One thing to be aware of is that the sunbeds go very quickly. The hotel does have a rule that you’re not allowed to reserve sunbeds, which I actually think is a really good policy. However, if you want to guarantee getting a sunbed, you really do need to be down by the pool from around 10am and actually be there to get one. Once the pool area gets busy, it can be difficult to find available beds. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay — extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The children’s entertainment was particularly good, and there was plenty for them to get involved in. One evening there was a circus-themed acrobatic show, which was brilliant and really entertaining. Another great feature was the free shuttle bus to the local beach, which ran back and forth and was really useful, especially with children. The hotel is around a 10-minute walk into Colònia de Sant Jordi, where you’ll find more restaurants, little shops and a lovely family atmosphere. We really enjoyed having the option to wander into town for something different. There isn’t a huge amount immediately surrounding the hotel, so if you want to explore further afield, you would probably need a taxi. For us, though, this wasn’t an issue as we mainly wanted to relax at the hotel, with the option to explore when we fancied it. We stayed in a Superior Room, which was very spacious and had everything we needed. Our room was also in a great location, very close to both the pool and buffet area. The only downside was that we had quite a bad problem with ants in the room. No matter what we did, we couldn’t seem to get rid of them, which was frustrating. The buffet had a great variety of food and there was something for everyone. However, it could get extremely busy and chaotic at peak times, to the point where guests were sometimes being asked to come back later because the restaurant was too full. There were several different buffet stations serving different foods, which was great for choice, but depending on where you were seated, you could find yourself doing quite a lot of walking back and forth to see everything that was available. We also felt that the food and drinks at the pool bar were slightly overpriced, although I think this is becoming fairly common with the current cost of living and holiday prices. Overall, though, we had a really lovely stay and would definitely recommend Blau Colonia Sant Jordi to families looking for a relaxing holiday with plenty to keep both children and adults entertained. The friendly staff, great facilities, entertainment, pools and easy access to the beach and town made it a great choice for us. We’d happily return!

We got back yesterday from a week here from the UK with tui. Transfer bus was a private taxi (touch) that we had to wait 1.5 hours for and again company back was a private taxi which was on time (thank god) the hotel has great gardens, is spread over 4 blocks of rooms. 1 closest near the restaurant and main pool 4 is furthest away near kids pool. Water dispensers are dotted around but we didn’t like the taste so brought bottled from on site shop (expensive and supermarket is 10 min walk) food is very adventurous but always has plain pasta, pizzas and chips. it’s spread over 3 similar buffets over 3 rooms. VERY busy and a little chaotic. Sushi was our fav on thursdays! pools are clean and well kept, sunbeds at the main pool are a issue. if you haven’t got one before 10:30 you aren’t getting one! staff will remove any towels of people leaving towels then going to breakfast. this should be done again later in the day as people take 5 beds and don’t use them at all. life guards are on it and very on the ball. always plenty of beds at the kids slide pool. animation team are amazing great entertainment every night. kids disco 20:15 then evening entertainment (clowns, acrobatics etc) 21:30. The greatest show was amazing! 👏 We had lunch every day at the on site restaurant which was lovely 18€ for a main mostly. so pretty average! we had a suit which was nice. huge bed and really lovely shower, sofa bed was fine for 5 year old but a adult would struggle! don’t have any open food in the rooms and we had ants everywhere and had to bin sooo much. they even managed to get inside tupperwares. so be careful. staff gave us ant spray and said to come back if it persists and they’ll change our room. hotel was at max capacity people were getting sent away from the evening restaurant and asked to return later and we weren’t able to get a late checkout as they were full. i would say the hotel was 50% german, 35% spanish and 15% english guests! we had a lovely holiday but wouldn’t return as there isn’t much aroun. which is what we wanted for this break! we did enjoy the beach and the hotel offer a bus that goes there every 30 mins from 10am. the salt lake opposite does attract a lot of mosquitoes so do take repellent. overall a great hotel very peaceful with great entertainment. we feel it was overwhelmingly busy but the staff were great! we love blaudi and our babies have been inseparable since. We stayed at the hotel for 7 days as a family of 5. Positives: -Hotel grounds are well kept and spacious -Super pools spread across the hotel meaning none were too busy -Rooms were clean and the aircon was very good - All staff could not have been more friendly -Mix of nationalities (we are British and there were plenty of brits) Things to be aware of: - Food was hit and miss at the buffet -Not sure what they can do but there were a lot of mosquitos -It was a shame the tennis and padel could are not more accessible for guests they were expensive to use so spent a lot of time empty -Not sure how secure the system of quoting your room number to put food/drinks on the room is Overall an excellent stay and we would come again
