The hotel is located on the edge of the salt flats. It is a 10–15 minute walk from the beaches of Colonia Sant Jordi. The village has three distinct beaches, each on a different side of the town, with golden sand and turquoise waters. All three are different and well worth visiting. One of them is a small but stunning cove. A small tourist train picks up guests and drops them off at various key locations around the village for €5. There is also a free shuttle service from the hotel to the beach, although it only runs a few times a day. The hotel grounds are beautiful and exactly as shown in the photos: several interconnected, rounded swimming pools with gentle slopes and children’s areas, surrounded by palm trees and adjacent to a lovely café/restaurant open during the day. A second pool, large enough for proper swimming and laps, extends into the indoor SPA pool (SPA access costs €10 for 90 minutes, or is included in the room rate depending on the booking). Pool towels are provided against a €10 deposit and can be exchanged for fresh ones for €2. Further into the gardens, there is a large shallow pool with a pirate ship play area for young children, a huge playground set in sand beneath pine trees, and numerous tennis courts. All the pools are surrounded by sun loungers, hibiscus hedges, palm trees, and lush vegetation. It is truly stunning. During our stay (late May), not all the sun loungers had been set up yet, and it was sometimes difficult to find one depending on the time of day. I imagine that in July and August, finding an available sun lounger could be quite challenging. The hotel consists of several three-story buildings (ground floor plus two upper floors), each equipped with elevators and featuring attractive interior courtyards and gardens filled with beautiful vegetation. At the base of each building, there is a vending machine with snacks and cold drinks, as well as a free water fountain where guests can refill their bottles. Our double room was huge, modern, smelled fresh, and had a large balcony (with two chairs, a table, and a drying rack) overlooking beautiful mature trees. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was extremely quiet. The bathroom layout is somewhat unusual considering the room’s size: the sink and mirror unit are located directly in the bedroom, and on either side of this unit are frosted glass doors leading to the shower on one side and the toilet on the other. Privacy is somewhat limited, despite the opaque glass. However, everything was in like-new condition, modern, with plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. The room includes a very practical mini-fridge and large wardrobes. There is no kettle or coffee machine. The safe is charged separately: €25 for six days, which is rather surprising for a four-star hotel. The half-board package consists of buffet meals. The indoor restaurant area is enormous, divided into three sections, and can be quite noisy. A small terrace surrounds the restaurant, and this is where we preferred to eat. The view over the adjacent salt flats, especially at sunset, was magnificent. However, outdoor seating is limited. We visited in late May, and it was sometimes difficult to find a table outside. The buffet offers a wide selection of food: hot dishes, salads, vegetables, grilled items, fruit, bread, cheese, and desserts. The fruit was often not fully ripe during our stay. The bread selection was excellent, with various types available both sliced and as rolls, including white and whole-grain options, all very fresh and delicious. There was also a large selection of Iberian cheeses. The dessert buffet included mousses, ice cream, and various cakes. Given the hotel’s capacity (over 300 rooms), the buffet offered plenty of variety and generally acceptable quality, although the food was often not hot enough. Nevertheless, everyone should be able to find something they enjoy. It remains buffet food prepared in large quantities for a large number of guests. Drinks are not included with half-board. A bottle of mineral water costs €3.20. The café/restaurant by the pool has a genuinely lovely atmosphere, with an interior that opens onto the terrace. It is very attractive. We did not eat there, but the dishes looked beautifully presented and appeared to be of a higher standard. The cocktails and sangria were delicious. A one-liter pitcher of Cava sangria (a local specialty) was exceptional and cost €21. A mojito costs €10, and a soft drink €3.20. Highlights of the Hotel * Beautiful swimming pools * Stunning gardens and vegetation * Attractive architecture, with several smaller buildings rather than one massive hotel block (as is common in Mallorca) * Spacious and attractive rooms * Special mention to Salah, a waiter at the evening buffet, who was extremely helpful, cheerful, and kind * Housekeeping staff were always friendly and smiling * Convenience store and ATM located directly in front of the hotel * Car rental service available within the hotel Drawbacks * Reception staff are helpful, but the service feels somewhat impersonal and not quite what one might expect from a four-star hotel * The dining rooms are very large and can feel crowded and noisy, although this is understandable given the number of rooms and guests accommodated by the hotel.

This hotel is in a great location for all the beaches, they have shuttle bus to EsTrenc beach, however it’s only a ten minute walk if you’re fit. The rooms are set out over large grounds in five 3 story buildings. There’s lovely gardens between the buildings, restaurants, spa, pools and tennis courts. There’s plenty of sun beds so had no bother finding one, we also used the Bali beds for a small fee. The restaurants were lovely and clean and the food was far better than expected. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The room was cleaned every day and we had clean sheets and towels every time. There’s nice bars and restaurants at the harbour and more lively bars on the high street a five or ten minute walk away. We were in building 4 and it was very quiet. Would highly recommended this hotel if you’re staying in Colònia St Jordi.

The hotel and facilities are excellent the food is great and the pool areas are first class, the evening entertainment is superb. The reception staff are fantastic, the restaurant staff are ok the welcome team are great but the servers fairly cold and over the week we never really built up much repore with them they are also slow to remove plates and when you order water as well as a normal drinks you always have to ask for more glasses. I was disappointed in the room we had a superior family suite and it was fairly tight in terms of space only one chair internally and a small terrace externally with 2. Chairs despite booking the room for 2 adults and 1 child, view was into the gardens separated by a hedge into a live construction site. No great privacy, I’d definitely recommend requesting a room on either the first or second floor, the grounds are immaculate and you can hire a car directly from the hotel which we did the car hire staff were great. If you want to use the safe in your room it’s an extra 25euros per week which seems like a rip off, there is no welcome water etc when you check into your room, if you hire a car from them with the hotel logo down the side you still need to pay them 10euros per day on top of the car hire charge to park in their car park. The grounds are immaculate and all in all it’s a great place to spend a holiday, recommended. The town train picks you up directly at the hotel it’s 5euros per trip regardless of how many stops you have, it’s not hop on hop off, the best beach is a 10min walk just pass the salt lagoons great beach with great snorkelling we seen 3 octopus 🐙 Colonia saint jordi has very little to it, the lighthouse is a nice walk the beach is great and if you hire a car there are some really good location attractions a short drive away we did hams cave, Dinosaurland and AquaLand our 4 year old loved all of it.
