Blau Colonia Sant Jordi

Beautiful complex, really quiet out of season and lovely heated pool. Not much to see outside the hotel area though, but with a 4 and 2yo that was perfect for us. Sofa bed in room was surprisingly comfortable although there was some corridor noise. The suite would be amazing for a couple/all in the bedroom. Staff were wonderful, looked after us and the kids so well and super efficient- when we spilt water on the bed housekeeping were at the room with spare bedding less than 10mins after we spoke to reception.

Excellent complex; it's huge and well-maintained. Rooms are large and extremely comfortable, with flat screens in the lounge and bedroom. The resort offers loads of amenities and things to do. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, and it's probably one of the best beaches I have seen. The on site restraunt is excellent. The children's amenities are extensive. Breakfast is brilliant, you cannot go hungry, just like dinner and lunch, they cater for everybody, and all types, vegetarian, steaks, and the dessert buffet is out of this world. Parking is in the street and can be a little tight on spaces. The reception staff are excellent and friendly

Amenities are good and the hotel is generally clean with helpful staff, however, we had an unfortunate experience with a very aggressive member of staff in the restaurant who objected to some of our group having our water bottles on the table. His behaviour was quite shocking - he raised his voice and shook his fist. Given that it’s a hotel with various sports facilities and hosts groups of athletes, it’s to be expected that guests will have their sports water bottles with them around the hotel. This is not a 5 star restaurant, it’s buffet style, with a mixed clientele, including families and kids. It’s informal, no tablecloths, therefore, it’s difficult to understand why this particular individual found our water bottles so objectionable, to the point of shouting and making a scene. They weren’t dirty and he wanted them placed on the floor, which was not that clean. We found the incident embarrassing and upsetting. Possibly someone having a bad day, but enough for the hotel manager to call and apologise afterwards.

Nice food. Good rooms. Very friendly staff. A good Spa and swimming pools. An overall very good hotel especially for famillies.
