Caramelo Calvia Beach (ex. Cook's Club Calvia Beach) Adults Only +21

We had a couple beach holiday in early June. It wasn't extremely busy, so it was quite nice not having to fight for sunbeds or queuing up for breakfast. I totally agreed with June's review below about the noise, so I'm not going to repeat what was said. In addition to that, the services we received were very inconsistent. On arrival (around midnight), the receptionists completely ignored us. A simple 'Hello, I'll be with you shortly" would be sufficient, but no, not even eye contact. Some days, staff were very friendly and polite. Some other days not. During the stay, we only asked for the room cleaning once. However, it wasn't done properly. Floor was not swept, ashtray wasn't cleared. We made our own beds, so the only thing they did was having our towels changed. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. Tips: the street view/side Seaview rooms face the other hotel, it's noisy but have the sun on the balcony for the whole afternoon. The pool view rooms have the morning sun. Be mjndful the lightning in the room was quite dim if this could be a problem for you. Extra €20 if you want a late check-out at 2pm which is handy for late flight.

We stayed here at Caramelo Calvià Beach Magaluf (formerly cooks club) as a wlw couple for 7 days Pros: The overall appearance and feel of the hotel is good, the staff are friendly and the quality of food and drinks is top level. We stayed at Cooks club in Corfu previously, and the food was AWFUL so this is like the cooks club boutique aesthetic, but with much better food and drinks. We had half board so you get 30 euro per day to spend on food and drinks, and it actually goes really far - we saved a lot doing this getting lunch everyday and then going out for dinner in the evenings. The feel of the hotel is very calm and chill with low music by the pool during the day, the sunbeds are comfortable and it feels perfect for couples to just relax in the sun! There are cleaners around 24/7 so the environment felt very looked after and our rooms were always clean and tidy. Cons: We had a street view so our room looked onto the hotel next door which unfortunately had lots and lots of teenagers drinking going out in Magaluf. This was expected based on the area, but it started to get tiresome when every night we were being woken up at 2/4/6 am because of the loud noise. Our next door neighbour also was really drunk and rowdy, banging on the tables and walls - even using a megaphone to talk to his friends. It kept waking us up, so we ended up sleeping with our AirPod max’s to get some sleep… this is something I’ve never had to do in my life! And not what you should have to do on a chill couples holiday. The only other complaint is re towels, they advertise their own hotel towels for around the pool however when we asked how to get one they said the towel delivery hadn’t turned up so we had to buy one from down the road.. the towel delivery never came so that’s something we had to fork out on.

Just returned from this hotel and can say had a fabulous time gorgeous hotel friendly staff breakfast for phenomenal all fresh loads of choice, and the frozen daiquiris were amazing all the food I hate was exceptional. Room was great aircon was amazing the only fault I could give I was on the back of the hotel abit noisy from the opposite hotel wish it was abit more sound proof I would definitely return but request a pool view, other than that amazing hotel definitely recommend

We are extremely disappointed with our experience at Caramelo Calvia Beach - Adults Only (21+). We booked this hotel for a special 30th birthday trip, and the entire experience was completely ruined from the moment we arrived. We originally booked this hotel specifically because the room was advertised as having a private swim-up pool on the balcony. After booking, we later discovered this was falsely advertised. I first contacted the hotel in November regarding this issue and did not receive a helpful or reassuring response. I then emailed again a week before our holiday due to ongoing concerns. To make matters even worse, two days before we were due to travel, we were informed that our hotel booking may be cancelled. Naturally, this caused huge stress before travelling. I called the hotel directly and was reassured everything was “fine” and that there were no issues with our stay. However, when we arrived at the hotel, it became clear the staff already knew we were not going to be allowed to stay there, yet nobody informed us beforehand. Instead, we travelled all the way there only to be treated horribly at reception. The staff member was rude, dismissive, refused to let us speak to a manager, and showed absolutely no care or empathy for the situation they had caused. Two members of our group were allowed to stay while the other four of us were left without accommodation, despite us all travelling together for the same birthday trip. We had booked separately, yet the hotel grouped us together and handled the situation terribly. We lost an entire day of our holiday trying to sort accommodation because of the hotel’s mistakes and complete lack of organisation. To make the situation even more shocking, after we questioned the false advertising and raised concerns about how we had been treated, we were told we would never be allowed to book at any of their hotels again. Instead of taking accountability for their mistakes, they chose to punish paying customers for speaking up. Being stranded in another country with nowhere to stay because of the hotel’s actions was beyond stressful and completely unacceptable. The communication was awful from start to finish, the customer service was disgraceful, and the false advertising regarding the room was misleading. What should have been a special celebration ended up being stressful, upsetting, and ruined due to the hotel’s lack of honesty, professionalism, and basic customer care. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone based on our experience.

Beautiful hotel and in an excellent location. This was our fourth stay here. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice. Fresh fruit, smoothies, pastrys, cooked breakfast, omelette and fresh juice and coffee. Rooms are clean and spacious. We always book the same room on floor 7 to get a Seaview. Unfortunately because Magaluf is a short walking distance away you can get some noise in an evening. Swimming pool area very clean and the drinks are reasonably priced.
