Hotel looked lovely and is near the restaurants shops and beach. Perfect I thought. The weather this week is stunning. I’m reviewing after 2 days because things are my mind right now POSITIVES. The hotel is very lovely. Nice pool drinks restaurant area. I had a single room which someone else commented on saying it’s tiny. It is small with a single bed but still has a lovely size shower room, free safe, TV, desk and clothing rail. I found the bed extremely comfortable. Cute little balcony seating area with a table and chair. Breakfast is fantastic. So much to pick from. Pastries cooked breakfast cereals and yogurts eggs pancakes and more. Fresh real coffee and an array juices. Open until 10.30am. The evenings meals (which I’ve not had yet) were plentiful of choice from pastas pizzas burgers to salads and specials including salmon and located at different stations cooked freshly. Reception desk staff and the cleaning ladies are really lovely friendly and helpful. My room (315) is quite cool so needed an extra blanket which was delivered within minutes. Went for walk down to beach which was minutes away. NEGATIVES. Off we go sorry. My room was on a really busy noisy road and the view wasn’t great. Cars vans buses rubbish trucks playing music insanely loud or pounding down the road. And the men singing and chanting as loud as possible has been at least every couple of hours as there’s a bar just further along that’s a party bar. Now that can’t be helped but the balcony door must have clingfilm in it or gaps because it sounded like there was no glass. Room was quite cool and at night I was freezing. The heating doesn’t go up in temperature apparently as it’s centrally set so cannot be changed in the room. Hence extra blanket. The room has no ceiling light at all so was very dark. Only 2 hangers and nowhere to hang long dresses trousers etc. no draws either, just a basket. I used the shower door. Nowhere to put anything in the shower though. Having a chronic back condition and trying to bend over in a slippery unit isn’t great. Could be easily fixed. The TV was German. Every channel. Couldn’t switch at all. Now the worst part which is frequently mentioned by other reviewers. OMG the noise. I should have realised when I saw they provided earplugs in the room !! I wish I’d read the reviews before booking. Doors banging constantly (need putting on slow realise hinges desperately) and it is so loud !! People singing shouting chanting the same bloody songs over and over (again) down the corridors till 2 am. Absolutely no regard whatsoever for other guests. The average age of holiday makers looked around early twenties. I’m 53 so not great. After breakfast I found a sun bed (which were plentiful but I was told a lot of people had checked out this morning) and got myself comfy. There’s a DJ, now this is mentioned in hotel summary but I didn’t expect dance music PUMPiNG out at 1030am !! WOW. Something else I also didn’t know is that this whole area is predominately German tourists. Drink very loud men mostly. 90% of the guests are German I was told by reception after I asked her were there any other english speaking here. Don’t get me wrong I’m a uk solo traveler (my 1st time) my problem and I wanted some alone time but a little hello or how you doing would be nice. I came here after visiting Cala bona last year which was fab, so I knew the airport (whole different story but it was a horrendous experience if you’ve booked assisted travel) I feel like I’ve took a vow of silence!!! The beach front was having work done so was cordoned off. The first opening was a long way down and for me personally, I couldn’t do the walk every day, so going there to get some chill time wasn’t an option. I came back to the room of gloom. Oh joy there’s work going on now outside the patio so that wasn’t an option either. Obviously that’s not the hotels fault but reading other reviews, there’s a huge problem with noise generally and noisy guests. Apparently you can ring 9 on the phone and they’ll send someone up. The doors just don’t seem to keep any noise out. You hear a pin drop on the other side. I thank god I’ve not got pool view. Overall if you’re young and want a party atmosphere and don’t need much sleep (the cleaners came just after 8am, you can put a sign out but you’ll be awake trust me!) then here is great. If you want a relaxing holiday then it’s a definite no. And it’s only April. Right I’m going go and talk to myself. The 3 star is for the staff and hotel but my personal opinion of actually staying here would be terrible sorry.
We have come to this hotel for 3 nights bed and breakfast and this is the 1st review I have ever done. I would 100% return to this hotel, ideally situated between Magaluf and Palmanova and within minutes of the picturesque beaches of Palmanova and the restaurants and bars. The staff at the hotel are all welcoming and friendly, Jose in the restaurant was extremely pleasant and you could tell he loves his job. Rooms are extremely comfortable and modern, breakfast is the best I've ever had catering for everyone. No need to que for sunbeds etc and its like lying in bed the sunbeds are that comfortable. Hotel is situated up a steep hill so probably not ideal for limited mobility. Thank you Caramelo
Absolutely perfect stay in Palma. Close to airport and beautiful hotel. Olivia in the bar, Victor and Xavier in reception all amazing service! Recommend highly.
Reception area and breakfast / lunch areas are clean. Staff on reception are helpful. That's about it. Corridors are like entrance to hades. The paint is sickly grey colour as is the outside of the building. Terrible choice by their designer. Rooms even worse. Redisigned by someone on their tea break. No drawers or cupboards, bathroom door is old planks that offer absolutely no privacy. Bedside lamps made by African weaver birds. Balcony has no lighting and had grass growing on it. Bathroom was a mess, metal fittings that were subject to rust and the floor still had the cement marks from the old sanitary ware SOFT CLOSE DOORS MUST BE FITTED. Needs a massive rethink and refit.
Just had a 4 day break in this hotel. Don’t get me wrong the hotel was lovely. Breakfast was brilliant, rooms a little on the small side but comfortable. Pool area & loungers plentiful & very comfortable. Staff lovely. BUT… if are British you might be disappointed. The hotel is 99.9% German. Most are very polite but it is mostly young stag & hens who are extremely loud at all times of day & night. The surrounding area is almost 100% German inc food etc. It wasn’t intimidating but felt very overwhelming. Don’t get me wrong we enjoyed our break & made the most of it. Just hope this review helps any other brits thinking of booking this hotel.
