Caramelo Palma Beach

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING CARAMELO PALMA BEACH! To everyone reading reviews before booking this hotel, I genuinely hope you take a moment to read this until the end. I wish someone had warned us about what this hotel was really like before we booked. First of all, the hotel looks beautiful. The bohemian design, the large swimming pool and the overall appearance are lovely. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended for us. The biggest problem was the noise. Extremely loud, bass-heavy club music played through speakers surrounding the pool for most of the day, sometimes continuing until late in the evening. It was impossible to lie by the pool, read a book or simply relax. We ended up leaving the hotel during the day and walking along the beach, only returning in the evening to escape the constant music. And unfortunately, the nights were no better. People were coming and going throughout the night, with loud footsteps, doors slamming, shouting and noise in the corridors. I actually had to wear headphones just to try to sleep. We came here to rest, but ended up feeling exhausted instead. Cigarette smoke was another major issue. We booked a non-smoking room, yet we regularly experienced cigarette smoke coming from neighbouring areas, including rooms beside and above us. The smell was particularly unpleasant at night. The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived. There was no blanket, and the room telephone wasn’t working. We had to go downstairs to reception late at night ourselves to ask for bedding. Customer service was also extremely disappointing. We contacted the hotel before arriving to arrange a paid late check-out, or even pay for an additional night, because our flight was late in the evening. Instead of receiving a clear answer, we were repeatedly told to ask again later, right up until our departure day. We were happy to pay. We simply needed a clear answer so we could make alternative arrangements. We also submitted a written complaint to the hotel during our stay but received no response. What disappointed us most was that we couldn’t relax anywhere in the hotel — not by the pool during the day and not even in our own room at night. The hotel is advertised as offering a balance between relaxation and entertainment, but that was certainly not our experience. If you love loud music, a lively party atmosphere and a busy hotel, this place might be perfect for you. But if you’re looking for a peaceful holiday, comfortable sleep, a clean room and a relaxing poolside experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. We travelled a long way and were genuinely looking forward to this holiday. Instead, we spent much of our time trying to escape the noise. Beautiful hotel, but a very disappointing experience. We would not stay here again.

Amazing stay at the hotel (magaluf), with very friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of foods. I can also recommend the dinner.

This is a 3 star hotel with 5 star food. The food at this hotel is unreal, if you go with half board you get €30 a day to spend on food and drinks each. It’s a really good deal, the hotel is cheaper than the majority of restaurants in the area and I would say the quality of the food is better than number of places. You also get breakfast included, the breakfast is superb. The rooms and the finer details are a bit tired. The whole 6 days we have been here one of the women’s toilets on the ground floor has been out of use. The staff here are great, they couldn’t do more for you. When we arrived they allowed us to check in early for €20 which was a deal and helped us after a very early morning flight. You can get beach towels at the hotel, they are €10 and you get that back if you return the towel with the receipt given to you. If you want these swapped out it’s €2 per towel. The hotel its self is very relaxing through the day, there is music on around the pool but it isn’t a crazy hotel. It is around a 5 minute walk to the beach and the restaurants. However, be mindful that during the night a lot of your fellow holidaymakers are obnoxious and loud. They clearly have no respect for those around them, we were woke up twice by other holiday makers opening the emergency exit and setting the alarm off on our floor. This is through no fault of the hotel at all but this is just a warning to anyone wanting a relaxing break, this hotel may not be the one for you. It’s also worth mentioning that the hotel is around 5 minutes from Palma airport. Overall we’ve had a lovely stay and would recommend the hotel.

Wanted to find somewhere nice and chilled for my last day in Majorca. Arrived too early and was told I could only sit on chairs inside the hotel until 1030 which made me feel like a scolded child. I had walked from Palma.Nice pool vibes and dj is great. Pool bar staff offhand and rude. I asked for a drink and the member of staff pointed at a pre poured one left on the bar. No thanks ! She took offence and literally plonked my drink in front of me. I don’t know why there is so much rudeness but the two experiences lead me to say go somewhere more friendly and accommodating. I paid for this via a day pass but I would not recommend.

Is our second time here,and we were impressed by the staff,room and cleanliness everywhere. The womens staff for cleaning and all at the reception are amazing (especially women).The breakfast with great view is unbelievable. We will return,soon,I hope.
