Europe Playa Marina - Adults Only

Nice hotel with an access to the sea directly (no beach. Direct water access) But very old inside

This place has just 6 car park spaces ( which are also a 10 minute walk uphill) for 160 Bedrooms and no third party arrangements or any solutions for guests arriving with a car. I arrived at 11.30pm and spent until 1.00am searching for parking and in the end begged a place at another quality hotel nearby. Management response : Not our problem, intransigence, no compensation, no flexibility on late check out despite losing two hours looking for parking and associated stress. This is one of those independent hotels that plays the numbers game. They don't give a damn about guests - they know others will come so you are treated with contempt. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - its "cheap" for a good reason.

Gorgeous sea view from my balcony. The hotel is on a hill so there is a lot of up and down walking if you want to go anywhere outside the hotel like restaurants or convenience stores. The breakfast buffet was excellent: a good selection of hot and cold food and a coffee machine so you can customize what you want. The view of the sea at breakfast was amazing. The beach wasn’t good but the pool area was great. Lots of chairs and a restaurant/bar. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel on the right, in front of the Bonanza Hotel. I took the bus to the airport. It needed one bus change but was very easy because the buses were frequent. Had a mini fridge which was a bonus.

Lovely hotel. Great location. Very good access to swimming cove. Carmen was a highlight. She made exquisite eggs and omelettes- my favourite of which was the huevos rancheros.

The good bits . The hotel is in a beautiful location, rooms are well kept and serviced daily. Breakfast is very good with a huge choice, lunch at the pool bar is good. The bad bits. It's in a lovely area but very few restaurants locally. The area seems quite residential. If you hire a car you have to pay 12 euro a day to park in the hotel car park about 2 minutes walk away. The beach at the hotel is not really a beach, it's a very tiny rocky cove. The pool area is lovely but not that many sunbeds. NOTE they do not go all around the terraces as you see in the hotel photos, that's a walkway. The staff are not friendly, they give the impression that guests are being merely tolerated.
