Europe Playa Marina - Adults Only

Our room with balcony at 6th floor overlooked the small bay with "beach" and the sea. The room was small, and with a bit messy interior (one extra coach). The glass door to the bathroom was nice. We missed a coffee machine. The food was good. Breakfast was very good, with a lot of choices. The pool restaurant/bar was good, with just the right choices for lunch and dinner. There is no dinner buffet choice. The pool bar was close to the small pool and overlooking the sea. We went swimming in the small bay several times, it was nice, so we never went to the nearby (15 min walk) beach. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The surroundings in Illetas are very nice and very calm. Illetas is situated west of Palma, about 20 min by bus nr 4, which runs every 20 hour. Bus 123 takes you towards west. All in all we were very satisfied and want to come back.

This was a last minute booking and we were so lucky to find this hotel overlooking the sea. We will definitely be back! Staff on reception were great. We managed to get our room early and a late check out. The sea view from our room was lovely and everywhere in the hotel was really clean and bright. Breakfast was excellent especially the omelettes! Never any problem getting a sunbed and it was lovely to be able to go down a ladder directly into the sea. It is quiet resort but we found a couple of really good restaurants and a friendly bar nearby. The only negatives were that I would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the room and prefer waiter service round the bar area rather than having to queue at the bar.

Great hotel, one of the best ocean views I have ever experienced and pretty close to Palmas and the airport but not so close that I was disturbed by airplane traffic noice! I travelled alone, for 100% relaxation, and with this intend in mind I think the hotel was good. If, however, you are a traveller that enjoy to meet other people and get in talk with them, I don't think that this hotel is necessarily for you. The average guest there was not that welcoming - but as some of an introvert myself that just wanted to relax in my own company in quiet surroundings, this hotel is quite great! Regarding the facilities and the food: The breakfast is one of the best that I have ever tried in a hotel such as this, even the possibility to drink champagne as part of the deal. The lunch and the dinner was alright, not the best I have tried but quite good as part of a hotel I would say. Nice fitness center as well! Employees and service: The receptionists were very welcoming. I had trouble with the keycard to my room upon arrival, but the receptionist walked with me to my room instantly on pointing this out and helped me there until it worked. The waiters were alright; not the most welcoming type of people but not angry or anything of the sort! Location and area: Very nice location with respect to the sea; fantastic ocean view! Some restaurants in the neighbourhood that were quite nice; but otherwise you would have to take the bus to get closer to Palmas with more choices. I would have liked a bit more atmosphere in the neighbourhood and more surrounding restaurant choices closer to the hotel. If you are looking for a hotel that is located close to party options close to the city, this is probably not the hotel for you even though by bus it (only) took like 20-30 minutes to get to Palmas. General cons: Beside the somewhat missing atmosphere and "coziness" in the area and restaurants in the neighbourhood, the fridge in my room didn't work that well and I also think it was perhaps a bit too small. I would've like for it to be bigger in order to have room for even more cooled water every day. All in all: A very fine hotel with an awesome view and with a great connection to the ocean.

Location: The area is very quiet, which was lovely for relaxing. There's a bus stop just a minute's walk away, and buses run frequently, making it easy to get around. There are also a few local shops and restaurants nearby, which was convenient. Hotel Staff: The receptionists were absolutely lovely warm, welcoming, and caring from the moment I arrived. The cleaners were also friendly and did a great job. However, my room was located right opposite the cleaners’ cabinet on floor 4, and they would start slamming doors around 7 AM, which disturbed my sleep. Room Experience: My air conditioning wasn’t working when I first arrived, but it was fixed within 30 minutes by the generator technician, which I appreciated. Restaurant & Food: The restaurant staff on the last floor level especially the waitresses, were sometimes a bit too pushy, and a few would finish their personal conversations before serving( a bit unprofessional.) The restaurant food was a letdown. I ordered a pizza for €10, but it looked nothing like the photo and was highly disappointing. On the flip side, breakfast was a standout plentiful, delicious, and beautifully presented. I’ve never had such a generous breakfast at a hotel. The breakfast staff were also amazing and attentive. Well done to them! Facilities: The swimming pool was great, and if you love swimming in the sea, this is the place for you beautiful access and views. Solo Travel Notes: I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're a solo traveler looking to meet people. Most of the guests seemed quiet and a bit unfriendly, and as someone from a minority ethnic background, I experienced a few uncomfortable stares, which made me feel unwelcome at times. This isn't the hotel's fault necessarily,. Amenities: There’s a luggage room and a guest shower room, which is a great bonus for travelers with late departures. Summary: The hotel itself is lovely, with great staff, especially at the front desk and breakfast area. However, room placement, restaurant quality, and the guest atmosphere may not suit everyone especially solo travelers or those sensitive to noise early in the morning.

Sea view was more beach and opposite hotels but still beautiful. Fridge not cold, the bottle of water inside on arrival was just room temperature. I got ice from reception and a maintenance man came to fix but no difference. Had a fabulous rain shower but after a couple of mins it flooded entire bathroom as the drainage wasn't adequate and had to use all the towels provided to mop up the water in case I slipped when using bathroom. Such a shame when travelling solo.
