Europe Playa Marina - Adults Only

Gorgeous sea view from my balcony. The hotel is on a hill so there is a lot of up and down walking if you want to go anywhere outside the hotel like restaurants or convenience stores. The breakfast buffet was excellent: a good selection of hot and cold food and a coffee machine so you can customize what you want. The view of the sea at breakfast was amazing. The beach wasn’t good but the pool area was great. Lots of chairs and a restaurant/bar. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel on the right, in front of the Bonanza Hotel. I took the bus to the airport. It needed one bus change but was very easy because the buses were frequent. Had a mini fridge which was a bonus.

Lovely hotel. Great location. Very good access to swimming cove. Carmen was a highlight. She made exquisite eggs and omelettes- my favourite of which was the huevos rancheros.

The good bits . The hotel is in a beautiful location, rooms are well kept and serviced daily. Breakfast is very good with a huge choice, lunch at the pool bar is good. The bad bits. It's in a lovely area but very few restaurants locally. The area seems quite residential. If you hire a car you have to pay 12 euro a day to park in the hotel car park about 2 minutes walk away. The beach at the hotel is not really a beach, it's a very tiny rocky cove. The pool area is lovely but not that many sunbeds. NOTE they do not go all around the terraces as you see in the hotel photos, that's a walkway. The staff are not friendly, they give the impression that guests are being merely tolerated.

Breakfast was excellent, with Carmen's Eggs Benedict being top-notch, my boyfriend had 3 plates of them one day. Carmen was incredibly friendly, attentive, and paid great attention to detail, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The service at the pool bar was also great, and the pool area was very enjoyable. We had a small issue while swimming, and the lifeguard was extremely kind, professional, and helpful in resolving it. Overall, it is great.

Our room with balcony at 6th floor overlooked the small bay with "beach" and the sea. The room was small, and with a bit messy interior (one extra coach). The glass door to the bathroom was nice. We missed a coffee machine. The food was good. Breakfast was very good, with a lot of choices. The pool restaurant/bar was good, with just the right choices for lunch and dinner. There is no dinner buffet choice. The pool bar was close to the small pool and overlooking the sea. We went swimming in the small bay several times, it was nice, so we never went to the nearby (15 min walk) beach. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The surroundings in Illetas are very nice and very calm. Illetas is situated west of Palma, about 20 min by bus nr 4, which runs every 20 hour. Bus 123 takes you towards west. All in all we were very satisfied and want to come back.
