Good week at this hotel with my partner and two boys 12 and 10. On arrival, hotel reception is very clean and staff are friendly. We got our room safe (€15 for the week) and pool towels (free, and can be changed every 4 days) Room and bathroom is quite dated, but was cleaned daily and the beds were comfortable. We had a family room which was 2 single beds, and a double. Bathroom has hairdryer, and room has a small minibar sized fridge. Plenty of drawers/ wardrobe space for everyone. Only 1 socket so bring an extension lead, although we unplugged the tv to free up another one. Pool area is lovely and spacious, and the pool bar is nice. Food portions are big and great value… burgers, nuggets, pizza, baguettes, pasta etc No rush for sunbeds although parasols are fixed to the ground so those with shade seem to be taken first. Having said that you can move beds in under the shade of the trees. Taxi into C’an Picafort is €8 Ting Ting train €4.50adult and €2.25child but if you keep your receipt that covers your journey back too. To walk it is around 25mins along seafront. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely consider returning in the future

TLDR- not all inclusive outside of set meal times. Just go b&b save the extra money as you will need it to eat out of the resort. The afternoon tea offering is a joke. Front desk and cleaning staff are great though. Place makes you feel like your on the set of Dr No (positive). I wanted to celebrate the 250th anniversary and it also coincided we me spawning my own little Barron and wanted to take the 22 lbs of all American pure breeding on a vacation that’s a few hours away from the state of England. As a sort of test run for Tallahassee peak week (and yes the baby slept the whole flight there and back) so I won’t ever be in the Italian sea again now that the gulf of America is back on the table. So I scooped this up for cheap went all inclusive which wasn’t a smart move as I ended up sending 1k extra out of the hotel in the various restaurants for the week I was there. B&b is all you need. Breakfast is good, lunch borderline inedible and silly opening hours and dinner was hit and miss. Guys cooking turkey that’s still as red as the sun over operations in the gulf. Pizza was frozen and inedible. Drinks came out of a sort of adult slushi machine with actually negative alcohol content. Soft drinks aren’t always switched on at the various machine points making it hard to get some of the lords coke. The biggest issue though is the all inclusive isn’t, Now perhaps in Spanish the term ALL doesn't mean all as it does in American but ALL isn't all in this hotel. So the pool bar has a list of food you can order it’s all extra. They even have chips with two prices so you get a 20 cent discount if you’re all inclusive. The only food on offer between the meals is basically the left overs from the lunch / euro breakfasts put into a hot counter under a poor excuse for sandwiches. This 100% is what lets this hotel down and makes it unforgivable. I have been in utter terrible hotels but they can muster up the cheapest of the cheap burger and french fries by the pool. The coffee is also undrinkable if you have actually ever tasted a semi decent coffee before. So your buying that outwith the resort too. I guess the final thing on the food, i was convinced i has pancreatic cancer for the week and ChatChippyT needed to talk me off the ledge due to my stomach feeling terrible. Which on returning home i have contributed it to the oil (not Lucas i would know) they grill the meat on. (i scored some Omeprazole from a local pharm which helped). The pool towels can only be changed every 4 days. Which was funny. The mini bar in the room doesn’t have snacks or mini bar related items, you got to stock it yourself. There’s no coffee machine in the room. However it’s not all bad leave the resort and you can scoop up some proper dry aged big boys in near by restaurants for cheap so my advice is save the 55 pretend dollars per person per night and leave the hotel. Also this hotel is about 80% German. I don’t know if that’s good or bad I’m just saying. The only bartenders who actually seem to like their jobs were the older guys the young team seemed to not want to be there. Fire them all. The good- the hotel is spotless they clean the rooms every day and are very attentive. The restaurant staff are also great with children as is the front desk. The reviews about roaches I didn’t see one anywhere in and around the hotel and town the only one I saw was hanging out in the mens room in Palma airport. The hotel being “dated” isn’t an issue, it’s like a 1970s moon base. This was super cool I felt like Dr Evil for the week. The indoor swimming pool is good too very clean and nice and warmer than the outdoor one. I hear people saying it’s not a 4 star in the comments, clearly you haven’t been to Spain before as El President handed 4 stars out like skittles in the 70s and 80.( you got a bed and running water 4 stars) Anyway, who’s this for? Well it’s not for patriots who are big eaters like me. Overall through I didn’t unalive and I was about a 4 on the Bristol stool chart for the week which is a big win, with the postage stamp squares of paper. I would also say the buffet is a sweet dream to the Euro crowed they seemed to love the mystery meat though and I can understand all the positive comments as the wall didn’t come down that long ago. So I give this 2 liberty stars out it 5 and I won’t return again. However if you’re playing Spanish stars in your eyes you know there’s no such thing as 4 star as every single Spanish holiday from Tenerife to Minorca is the exact same render loaded 4 star experience into the matrix headsets the make us wear. So one mans 4 star is another mans 2 star is the moral of this story Protip- it’s 15 dollars a week to rent a room safe. It’s worth doing as you get a big key like a pirates chest. AR

I stayed in this hotel with my sons, aged 20 and 16. We were all really impressed and had a wonderful time here. The staff work very hard and are friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent quality and there is lots to choose from. At times it is a bit lukewarm and I did not see any microwaves for re-heating, but on the whole we all found the food to be delicious and plentiful. The hotel is very clean and the communal areas are lovely with lots of plants around. The rooms are not ultra modern but we were happy with our two adjoining rooms which were spacious, clean and comfortable. The fridge in the rooms is a great bonus. The pool is fantastic as are the hotel grounds and surrounding area. If you want to be central this is not the hotel for you as it is either a walk (25 mins), bus or taxi or ting ting train to central C'an Picafort but we enjoyed the quiet, scenic location of this hotel and would definitely return.
