Globales Mimosa

Hotel was relatively clean, although we requested cleaning the day before leaving and the room wasn’t clean. The hotel runs on minimum staff I.e. always having to wait to get served for a drink. You are given to plastic coins to get a drink x2 per person, meaning if there are more than 2 of you, you can’t get drinks for others, even if they are soft drinks. You also have to take your glasses back to get your coins back, therefore nobody is cleaning the tables. I drank the vodka on the first evening and had the strangest of dreams which I have had before from cheap nasty vodka. I ended up having to purchase my own bottle of vodka from a supermarket. My friends had to purchase bottles of their drink too as what’s on offer is very limited. The food was very basic and on certain theme days it was hard to put together a meal and I’m not even a fussy eater. The rooms were nice and so is the pool area, although there wasn’t space between sun loungers, so best to try to get the end ones. The pool isn’t open before 10am, so if you like an early swim it won’t happen. Palma Nova is a really nice place but I can’t say I would recommend the Globales brand. This has been my 5th visit to Palma Nova.

Just returned from an 8 night stay here with my fiancé and our two year old. I was apprehensive about staying here as I read quite a few negative reviews before I arrived but overall this is a good place to stay. We paid 15 euros for early check in as we wanted to unpack and get our toddler sorted out which we didn’t think was too pricey and made sense to just get into our room. I had seen negative comments about the all inclusive food which I think is quite unfair. For an all inclusive hotel, I would say the food is above average. Something for everyone and actually nice. They switch it up daily and have different themes - tapas, Mexican etc Cannot fault the cleanliness of the hotel, rooms were cleaned daily and housekeepers were always friendly towards us and our son. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool and no need to get there early to reserve beds. The pool is big enough for there to be several people in there without feeling like you’re on top of eachother. Location is good, 5 minute walk to the beach and shops. Bit annoying walking up a slight hill in the heat with a pram but we managed. The only downside to this hotel which did infuriate us on several occasions was the lifts. Firstly, they are TINY. Trying to get in with two adults and a pram was bad enough but with suitcases on top of that was pretty impossible. Our room was on the third floor and on several occasions we were waiting up to 10 + minutes just to be able to fit the three of us and the pram into a lift to be able to go to the dinner room or leave the hotel. The amount of times the lift would appear but we were unable to fit in as there was already a person or two in there. I’d read several other reviews on this prior and not thought much of it but when you’re standing in 38 degree heat with a screaming toddler waiting for their breakfast who can’t understand why we’re not getting into the lift for 10/15 mins this is a bigger deal than I’d expected. Overall, se had a nice stay and I would recommend this hotel to couples and maybe families who have kids who are able to walk up and down the stairs.

This is my 3rd time returning to the mimosa, we usually come with kids, however all of my kids are older now and were in their own holidays, however we decided to return as a couple because we loved it so much. The hotel is spotless clean, the food is amazing and the entertainment staff so engaging. We were all inclusive so the restaurant within the hotel has breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a snack bar at the bar itself which does pizza, chips, hot dogs and burgers etc from 11am ish right through til 7pm if you don’t fancy a big lunch. The drinks included in the AI are your standard local spirits and beers but also there are a few cocktails included in this. There are activities throughout the day, darts, pool, pistol shooting, aqua aerobics, bowls etc and they are always great fun. The only negative thing i could say about the hotel is that there are a few areas that are starting to look a little tired and in need of some maintenance/cosmetic repairs. (pool area lighting/lift mirrors) and the air con is not the strongest so it can get really warm at night especially on the balcony if your room is road facing. This is the first i have ever said anything negative, however I think it is important to be honest and the hotel can only address it if raised.

Just come back from Globales Mimosa . First impression was that it looked clean & tidy. At the reception , we tried to check in but the woman said we had to wait until 2 o’clock even though the room was ready, that also meant the all ink wasn’t until that time. We were tired & needed a cold drink so we had to pay 15 euros to get into the room at 1 o’clock. The other people weren’t happy either but paid anyway. It is the first time ever that this has happened at a hotel & we go on holiday 4-5 times a year. We then went to the lift , which took forever to arrive. My wife got in first & I then followed & the door nearly chopped me in half, other people also had the same problem. How the hotel get away with the lifts being that bad , I don’t know. Room was ok, the cleaning was hit & miss, it wasn’t cleaned well. Noisy road . We were on the 4th floor & had to use the stairs most days. Restaurant food was ok , well cooked but not a lot of choice. Nice bar area but the token system is a bit chaotic & the queues are very long. The pool area was nice. Snack bar food was good. Most of the staff were friendly. One night at 4 in the morning someone was banging & kicking our door, I told them to go away, they did then they came back again & started kicking & banging again. I complained to reception the next morning & they said if it happens again ring down to them by tapping number 9 on the phone. A few days later the cleaner never came , so I rang 9 & surpise, they never answered, tried again a bit later & the same thing happened so I had to go all the way down the stairs & back again. If you have mobility problems this hotel will be no good for you as there are lots of steps & quite hilly . We struggled & so did a lot of other people. We would not go back there.

Lovely hotel.. Please don't listen to the bad reviews. The rooms are cleaned everyday we had a sea view. Food is good and varied. Always something we liked. Food and drinks were always available at the pool bar. Only 6 minutes to the beach. Shops.bars etc. Either by pool gate or side of hotel via steps.. Only thing we were disappointed with there was no Bailey's on the all inclusive. And no kettle in room. ( take your own kettle) Pool area was clean and well maintained. And no sunbed wars.
