Globales Playa Santa Ponsa

We had a fantastic stay at TUI Suneo Santa Ponsa and were really impressed overall. The location is excellent – just a short walk to the beach, with plenty of bars, cafés and shops nearby. There’s also a huge supermarket directly opposite the hotel, which was really well stocked and so convenient. The hotel was spotless throughout, and the token system for drinks cups was a great idea as it kept the pool area tidy with no dirty cups left lying around. The food was very good, with the option to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at either Santa Ponsa Park or Pionero. We found the restaurant at Pionero to be busier but with a bigger selection. The snack bar offered a good variety of food, and the pizzeria, open until midnight, served freshly cooked pizzas that were excellent. Our room was clean and had a fridge, and the €10 deposit for the safe was fully refunded when we returned the key. Although the sunbeds around the main pool were reserved very early each morning, we always found plenty available on the raised terrace, which was quieter and more relaxing. We also had access to the pool at Santa Ponsa Playa across the road, although it felt a little more dated so we didn’t use it. Overall, we were very impressed and would happily stay here again.

Absolutely awful. Rooms are battered and old... Bathroom has a plastic rail around it with a plastic hanging sheet. Please see pics. No one is English at the hotel. Food is absolutely inedible, even the coffee from the machine isn't good. Pool area is patchy long grass and in the shade and you can't even get to the pool before about 10am. I hate leaving poor reviews but I honestly can't find a decent thing about this hotel other than it's location. Ruined our lovely previous memories of Santa Ponsa. We shall never visit again.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights this week. Arrived late. Charged €22 tax then shown to dinner hall where cling filmed plates of meat, salad etc. had been made up for late arrivals. This was quite nice. Next day we got safe key €46 which was a bit steep for 4 nights remaining. Room was ok. Double bed, dressing table, wardrobe, very small bathroom with small shower and air con. It did the job. We were on 4th floor above reception facing street with balcony. We went half board. Our biggest upset was no fridge in room! Every time we wanted a cold drink we had to go out and buy it. Normally we'd simply buy bottles of water and pop and keep freezing cold in fridge. Breakfast was ok, dinner on an evening was ok too. Very much the same as we get in any hotel we stay in at this rating. We never used pool as beach is so close with lovely breeze. It was 36° so would have melted round the pool. This hotel is perfectly located and was nice and quiet. As we walked around the area many hotels had gangs of young adults shouting and singing off their balconies and the area did get pretty rowdy after midnight. Police were called to sister hotel across the road when we were there. Obviously this isnt the hotels fault.
