Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa

A very well thought of family type all inclusive resort. I was traveling alone with my son (5yo). The room was not ready at check in, We waited an hour. I get it, but then again no. We arrived early and didn’t expect to have our room earlier, but at least by the check in time you should be able to allocate your guests. But it’s fine, we got to enjoy all the amenities and had lunch and so on, no problem really. The room was very nice and clean. Had the superior garden view, which was actually overlooking the pool and sea - loved it. The pools are very nice. But bear in mind, this is a family hotel with lots of small and bigger kids that enjoy their pool life to the max. As it should be! But if you want a quiet couples hotel go someplace else or stay at playa side. The beach is close and nice. The biggest downsides would be crowds - visit in high season and that is exactly what you can and should expect. Queues and crowds. But it didn’t feel too much. The only actual issue I had was with sound proofing being nonexistent. Walls are paper thin so you hear everything. But whatever, it is what it is. The food is good, especially tamarindos was my favorite. We only waited 5-10mins max ever to get seated. All in all I’d definitely recommend.

Amazing hotel we did star prestige definitely worth the money for the attention to details - tried the spanish tapas a la carte which was included with all inclusive and waiter tolo was great explained everything accordingly Cant wait to return in the future

1st time here 3 years ago was amazing. This time omg standards have slipped so bad. Dirty glasses in buffet. They closed one buffet at lunch leaving long ques in remaining buffet. Waiting in 30+ degrees heat for lunch with kids not fun. House keeping was awful. Every night had to go to reception to request toliet roll, shampoo top up and new towels as was never done when room was made up. 1st 3 nights shower blocked resulting in flooded bathroom. Never fixed until 3 complaints day after day. Beer tap by main stage always broken so always had to que for beer. Not cool. Such a drastic different experience from our 1st time here. Would never come again.!!. Avoid.

An excellent hotel, undoubtedly due to the excellent service... and everything around us. The facilities and access to hotel attractions... excellent. Plenty of greenery... both on the hotel grounds and nearby. The beach is just a stone's throw away. A variety of thematic and cultural events (including concerts and mini-recitals). Greetings to the only Polish member of staff... animator Adrian (a top-notch guy!).

A great hotel and we travelled with young children but this is the better of the two hotels that share the same base . The other is full on and very busy . The drinks and the food are excellent. The hotel is well equipped and rooms and communal spaces are fab . The staff are amazing and I loved their welcoming manner . The beach is the major detractor and is unusable . The seaweed and debris washing up make it impossible to use . I love the sea and all that it holds but this is impossible . You are coated in seaweed as soon as you get in. The sand is covered in it . The hotel makes huge efforts to clear it but to no avail . If you like pool and beach and a good hotel this is not for you . There is no resort to wander in but If you’re happy with hotel and pool only then this is fab .
