Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma

Fantastic modern hotel. An oasis of calm in a moderately busy area. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and helpful. I left behind a couple of items in my room and they were handed in and shipped immediately. I would definitely go back. Nice sea view at the champagne bar with reasonable prices. Within easy reach of the airport and Palma Old Town. Playa Palma is a bit tacky catering for a largely German clientele but the Iberostar is a beacon of quality and class mirroring a mini Ikos style resort. Loads of sun beds and a good sized pool. Highly recommended

Avoid this hotel. it is subpar starting with the check-in in. I upgraded to a beach front room which is very loud overlooking the bar. Other rooms were available but they try and up charge you 40 euros rather than address the issue. The rooms are so basic and not worth the stay! Things are dirty- there is no bedding.

Excellent hotel, very high standards and exceptional staff. Room had great views of the pool and beach (fifth floor), everything about this hotel was excellent. The standard was very high in the rooms, public areas and facilities. Location was ideal with a bus stop right outside taking about 20 mins to reach the centre of Palma or for walking along the promenade in a bay that stretched 4 or 5 miles in total. The breakfasts were the best we have ever had in a hotel with friendly staff managing both the catering and the table service for tea, coffee etc. If there are recognition awards for the staff we would like to recommend Valerie who was the Concierge who had a smile and cheery greeting for everyone. Such a lovely guy. Also worthy of a mention were to pool staff who were full of energy even on he one cloudy day of our stay.

Caroline made my stay much more enjoyable with her kindness and great service. She was always welcoming and professional. All the best to her — she’s doing an amazing job!

This hotel is exceptional and in our opinion it is all down to the staff. Alex on reception welcomed us with chilled cava and warm hand towels which was very nice. Our room was lovely and spacious with a pool and sea view. The food was outstanding the choices available made it very difficult not to over indulge. The restaurant staff were all happy in their job and worked very hard. Evening entertainment was always enjoyable. cocktails always freshly made (not frozen) bar staff and entertainment team very friendly and happy. We will def be back, this hotel has it all. Luca we will be back for the connect 4 re- match and bingo. lol you were brilliant. xx
