Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma

Avoid this hotel if you're disabled!! I booked a holiday for 5 of us, I needed an accessible bedroom and we had another room for 3. It was meant to be a special holiday to celebrate my 50th Birthday but spent most of the holiday crying. The hotel didn't know we had booked an accessible room, EasyJet hadn't informed them. We had to pay an additional £415 to an over expensive hotel, or struggle in an inaccessible bedroom. I tried to resolve the issue before our holiday but had no response from the travel agent who contacted EasyJet Holidays on my behalf. Things got worse after arriving we realised that the hoist for the swimming pool was located over the pool so impossible to transfer safely from wheelchair. The staff were not trained on how to help use the equipment either. The evening entertainment and morning exercise classes were upstairs in the 'Sunset bar' which I needed to use the lift. The lift wasn't working and from talking to other guests who've stayed previously in the hotel - they've never seen the lift working. Trying to get any support from this hotel was impossible, I hoped they would try to help solve some of our issues, I could list them all but sadly this would also be ignored by the hotel - their suggestion only offended me further. They have a very negative attitude towards customer satisfaction. This is shown in their responses to guests. After contacting the hotel through our travel company on our return home further insult has been caused as they feel that giving us a fridge magnet was enough compensation!!!

We splurged for the Prestige and it was worth every penny. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It allowed us access to a pool that was adults only which since it was a getaway for the two of us was so nice. The hotel is right across the street from a beautiful stretch of beach. The morning brunch had a stunning array of variety, and there were excellent restaurants nearby such as Al Faro and El Patio. The room was amazing and the staff checked in multiple times a day to ensure everything was perfect and restocked. Special thanks to Mercedes at the front desk and Vilma who took such good care of our room. I highly recommend this as a place to stay for a couples getaway.

We recently spent 4 days at this hotel. Great location on the beach and a great pool area. Service was very good all around the property. The breakfast buffet is Super good with many choices and 2 chefs cooking as well. i did not do the dinner buffet, but i looked in and that look outstanding as well.

So disappointed !!! How can TripAdvisor gives 5 stars and 2026 award for this hotel? We stayed for 12 nights and paid over 10,000 US $ for a scam star prestige hotel!!! Note: I am Iberostar club member for more than 12 years star prestige…and had wonderful vacation in Tenerife/ Canary Islands (Joia El Mirador by Iberostar), in Dominican Republic / Punta Cana in Mexico, etc.) This hotel in my opinion is not more than 4 star hotel It said “adults only” but is not!! It has a small zone on the 8th floor with 6x3 meters tub with cold water and a few chaise lounges and 2 beach beds with canopy with no possibility to control the sun or shade… So old design and technology… You cannot swim in that “tub” or enjoy that mini space … Bought half board and they serve you remaining sandwiches from breakfast and a few fruits… No bars with extraordinary pastries and sandwiches and presentation like Grand Iberostar El Mirador in Tenerife… Nothing… During nights we had to “enjoy” the noise and fights from drunken people who are on the streets …and non stop music from other places close to this hotel Nightmare… The employees are nice; they try so hard to serve you but the management and organization of this Iberostar hotel is at low Quality level from Star Prestige point of view and in comparison with other Iberostar / Joia El Mirador by Iberostar or Grand Iberostar from Maya Riviera or Punta Cana Conclusion: nice 4 stars hotel but not 5 and Not Star Prestige

Great location for the beach in a very quiet area, close to the airport. Lovely rooms with great air conditioning. We felt a little bit uncomfortable when we were asked by other guests why we had chosen to go to the German part of the island - we had no idea this existed!!!
