Iberostar Waves Alcudia Park

Brilliant. What a hotel and welcome for 8 nights. This isn’t just a hotel, it’s a “family” of staff that creates memories for guests, daily and nightly. They really do go above and beyond at the Iberostar waves alcudia park to make your holiday special! Reception advised us with bus routes to Alcudia port and the best place to have a chance to view the solar eclipse, shout out to Miquel! Our room for four was spacious with balcony, cleaned daily, and adequate for the holiday. The area around the hotel is welcoming with a range of dining options within walking distance, the focus highlight is the stunning sandy beach and warm clean inviting sea that is a joy to swim in. Direct access from hotel too. Swimming pool is superb, especially the underwater themed water slides, which kids (and adults) of all ages couldn’t get enough of. It certainly entertains and occupies! Poolside refreshments and entertainment excellent, many free drinks and snacks given out around the pool, which was a nice gesture. Kids’ club and entertainers give their all in a safe environment, with a professional and varied program. Nightly themed entertainment was varied, impressive and popular with guests. Now onto the food and restaurant buffet, to sum up, 5 star. It really was top, with themed cuisines each night. Waiting staff polite and professional. Delicious fresh food, cooked with love and care and served with a smile - all you could ask for. Buffet clean and as much or little as you wanted to eat. Little cafe by reception was also a nice touch with iced coffees and milky coffees to sit in or take out. We’ll return I’m sure, Iberostar really have “upped” the hotel game with what’s on offer at the Iberostar waves alcudia park.

We had such a lovely stay at Iberostar Alcudia Park and honestly didn’t want to leave! The hotel was wonderful, but what really made our holiday special was the staff, especially the pool bar team. Eric was incredibly helpful and friendly, and Issan was so kind and sweet every time we saw him. They both made us feel so welcome and really helped make our holiday memorable. A huge thank you to the whole pool bar team for making our holiday so enjoyable. We’re already hoping to come back again soon — and hopefully my Spanish will be much better next time! 😂🇪🇸 Thank you, Iberostar Alcudia Park, for such a lovely holiday. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

We paid a lot of money to stay at Iberostar Waves Alcudia Park and unfortunately, the situation around the pool has really taken the shine off the holiday. I’m awake at around 6:30am and happily get up, go down to the pool area and then go for breakfast before spending the day by the pool with my family. However, the hotel management has instructed the pool staff to chain all of the sunbeds together until 9am every morning. The result is exactly what you would expect: at 9am it becomes absolute madness, with everyone rushing to try and get beds at the same time. Instead of solving the sunbed problem, the hotel has created an even worse one. When you pay this much money for a family holiday, you shouldn’t have to take part in a 9am scramble just to get somewhere to sit by the pool. I want to be able to get up early, have breakfast with my family and then come out and relax by the pool, not spend the morning worrying about whether we’ll even get a sunbed. I understand hotels need to prevent people reserving beds and disappearing for hours, but surely there is a better solution. If somebody reserves beds and doesn’t return within a reasonable amount of time, remove their towels. Chaining every single bed up until 9am just penalises guests who are genuinely up early and want to use the pool area. For the amount we have paid to stay here, I expected a relaxing premium family holiday experience. Instead, the pool situation feels unnecessarily stressful and badly managed. A really disappointing policy from what should be a very good family hotel.

As a family of 6 4 Adults and 2 children age 3 and 6 we had overall a lovely holiday. The food, entertainment and location to the beach and port were excellent. There was a large pool and a small shallow pool for little ones, some slides which were great. A lovely little park with 2 small trampolines a little slide and various other play equipment. The staff were all very friendly and the entertainment team fantastic! My daughter and family were put into a small bedroom with a small balcony which they didnt feel was big enough and asked to move to another room which the hotel did. My husband and myself paid extra for Prestige Services and paid for a sea view room. We were on the 1st floor not much of a sea view as lots of trees, and the air conditioning was very very poor. The telephone we could hardly hear when it was rung. We asked to move but couldn't do for 4 days. When I complained about the air conditioning the receptionist blamed it on me saying I had the doors open too long! The man came to look at the air conditioning said it was working! After my daughter complained to management on our behalf a fan was delivered. Also with Prestige there was a room which you could get sandwiches, drinks, cakes etc through the day! The fridge wasn't working so all drinks were warm! This fridge was like this all week, again we complained but nothing was done. You also had your own check in with Prestige, the receptionist not once spoke to us or acknowledged us the whole week. Remember we paid above and beyond for these services. Small things to be put right would have made our stay more enjoyable. Management did give us free massage, a bottle of sparkling wine, some fruit and a Iberostar star bag as a goodwill gesture but it's not what we wanted. A few things put right would have made our holiday great. The grandkids had a lovely time, and it is a family hotel not for couples.

Very disappointing experience. The rooms are very basic. The food is just ok. They have a bbq buffet that was the highlight of food for this resort but you have to make a reservation. We paid for two meals per day but that doesn’t include water, soft drinks, etc. They charge you for water! The family shows are bland. The place is packed with running kids whose parents are not monitoring making it feel like you are at an amusement park. They nickel and dime you for everything. Overall, not enjoyable and I would not recommend.
