Iberostar Waves Bahia de Palma

Have had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Nothing has been too much trouble from the warm welcome, to the friendly daily greeting at breakfast, the daily entertainment and of course helpful staff at the bar. Topped off with a wonderful facial from Paula in the spa on our final morning here. Even with cloudy skies and wet weather our spirits were not dampened. The sun shone through every staff member we met here.

Superior Double Room Sea View - 10/10. Great size. Lovely and clean. Very nice decor. Heard hardly any noise. Bathroom - 10/10. Nice, clean ‘open-plan’ bathroom. Great shower. Great towels. Very nice toiletries. Bed - 10/10. Lovely bed and pillows. Some fantastic nights’ sleep. WiFi - 10/10. No issues. Pool Area - 10/10. Lovely size pool, but very cold. The area around the pool was great. Very clean, quiet and plenty of loungers. Gym - 10/10. Good size, with very new and decent equipment. Spa - 8/10. No treatments, but used the jacuzzi/pools. Not that exciting though. Breakfast/Dinner - 10/10. Stayed half-board. Very impressed. Decent variety and all of good quality. Could possibly improve on the heat of some of the dishes. Staff - 10/10. Superb. All staff were professional and polite. Hotel - 10/10. Great location for a 4 night stay. The hotel and the grounds very very clean and nicely decorated. It’s right next to the beach and the area itself is very nice for a walk. The A2 bus to and from the airport, as well as the 25 to Palma stop just outside (turn right outside of the front of the hotel). Guests appeared to be 90% German, as did the surrounding area. Turning right at the beach is quieter with less going on. Turn left and you’ll soon encounter the German bars and stag/hen dos. No issues though and if we’re ever back in Palma, we’ll probably return here.

We’ve had an amazing stay and have been blown away by the cleanliness of the hotel and the quality and friendliness of the staff. Today we had a facial by Paula and Cristina in the spa. It was the most relaxing way to spend an hour - they worked their magic and we came away feeling so relaxed and with glowing skin. It was the best facial we’ve ever had - thank you to the wonderful staff at Bahia de Palma!

The staff at Iberostar Waves are the most friendliest I have come across. Lourdes kept our room spotlessly clean and cared for us during our 10 day stay. Pedro was so helpful with our luggage when we changed rooms and he always had a smile. Gagan was super efficient with drinks at the bar and such a friendly girl. Plenty of activities throughout the day. We stayed b&b ... something for everyone at breakfast, big queue for omelette. Sorry to be leaving tomorrow.

Pros: - The staff - Gagan was amazing, amongst others.. Pablo, Christina, Fabrizio, many more. They were all attentive, kind, friendly, and really went above and beyond. - Very clean, cleaners do a good job daily - Close to the beach - Rooms were good, nice terrace, lovely shower, good storage space - Pool space was good, pool freezing cold so couldn't get in but nonetheless was a nice area and clean towels offered daily. - Good day activities on offer and nightly entertainment - although the evening bar seemed to be mostly clientele aged 70+ so we didn't spend time there. - Free cold filtered water. Cons: - AC was not turned on in the hotel anywhere, we were given 2 fans but I struggled to sleep throughout the holiday. It shouldn't advertise air conditioning as an amenity if it isn't always available so that potential clients know what they are signing up for! - Personally I found the food very poor. I often ate pasta or pizza at dinner because much of the meat seemed undercooked and often cold (scrambled egg in the morning for example, stone cold despite being under "heaters" - as a result I just had yoghurt every day). - No food served anywhere at lunchtime, you need to leave the hotel. - No rose wine at all! - There are lovely beds above the origin restaurant but you don't get any service there.. so isn't very convenient. - No toilet on rooftop pool/bar (which closes at 5pm and even when we were there at 12pm there was no staff around), so you need to get the 1 lift down to ground floor to use a toilet. Also the area is mostly German stag dos, which I wasn't aware of beforehand, but that of course is not the hotel's fault. Personally I wouldn't go back, purely for the AC as I need this to sleep.
