Iberostar Waves Ciudad Blanca

I got a great deal from Easyjet to this 4* hotel, given the low price I wasn't expecting much but in turned out to be the best of the 15 Alcudia hotels I have stayed in over the past 40 years. I was allocated a spacious studio room with excellent views over the gardens and pools and even limited sea views. Like others have said the furniture is good quality but a litle dated, but thankfully the bed was superb and I slept well every night. Good points> - Service in all departments was friendly and helpful - Use of the safe is free - Complimentary purified drinking water is available from a dispenser in the corridor - As well as hand soap / shampoo, the hotel provides conditioner and body / skin cream - Cleaning was regular as were the towel changes - Gardens and Pools are excellent and not overly busy - Back gate straight onto beach - Entertainment was top class Not so good> The only thing that seemed strange was the advertised kitchenette. This consisted of 2 cooking rings and 1 pan but no cooking utensils, basically not enough to do any cooking yet the room has a dining table and 2 chairs???? What's worse is that there was no kettle so if you wanted to make coffee you have to use the big pan which is very dangerous when pouring the boiling water from the pan into a cup!! Overall excellent and given a good deal I would happily return,

Had an amazing 6 day break at this hotel. Friendly and welcoming team throughout the hotel. Hotel is spotless, and continually being cleaned and tended to. Food delicious (I do prefer a warm plate to keep food warmer) and plenty of choice for all. Great to self serve coffee, soft drinks and wine in the restaurant. I LOVED the drink shack and seating area near the exit to the beach. Which is the selling point - proximity to the most beautiful beach and sea. The walk to the harbour is about 25 mins and relaxing. Pool was too cold for us, but it was April! Plenty of sun beds. Hotel is a short taxi/bus ride to Old Town Alcudia which is stunning. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to this gem of a hotel.

Overall we were generally impressed with the Iberostar Waves Ciudad Blanca. We stayed "all-inclusive" which was pretty good. Good range of drinks available which you can find more details of by scanning the QR codes around the hotel. The food was generally good, plenty of choice and the food truck is useful. There are also usually snacks available on the bar and sometimes they bring around snacks and drinks throughout the day which is a nice touch. We stayed during the Easter holidays so the restaurant was very busy at times. The queues at breakfast for eggs / omelettes could be improved by having a more obvious separate queue for people waiting for their ordered omelettes? At popular times there were also queues just to get into the restaurant but we never had to wait too long. The majority of the staff were nice, friendly and helpful. Like many guests it seems we were upgraded to a sea view room on arrival which was a nice bonus. The view was lovely from our balcony and our room was quite big and spacious (also nice and clean). The location of the hotel is great, right on the beach and just under a mile into the main resort centre but there are still plenty of shops and bars close to the hotel. Also a bus stop just a few yards away. When booking with Jet2 we were advised that there wouldn't be any evening entertainment in early April so we were surprised to find that there was. A few shows such as tribute acts, quality a bit hit and miss but watchable! The quizzes were alright using Kahoot and the entertainment team are very good, friendly and engaging without being too pushy! Now to the downside and the only problem we had. Noise and sleep quality! Everything about our room was very noisy, internal doors, lifts and water machines in the corridors. There doesn't appear to be any soundproofing at all between rooms to the side or above. The biggest problem for us was when a young group of 4 males turned up one night in the early hours of the morning and made loads of noise which went on for a long time, they had no consideration at all for the other guests. I think this was the only young group of lads in the hotel. I'm not sure why they booked into this hotel and I'm not sure why the hotel accepted this booking. We raised the issue with reception as there was also a strong smell of cannabis along our corridor on the next day. The receptionist suggested we should move rooms but we weren't the problem and didn't want to spend our valuable holiday time packing and unpacking again! We weren't the only guests to raise concerns with reception. I'm not sure anything happened. We certainly weren't contacted to resolve the issue which was disappointing but we were woken up again between 0200 - 0400 on other nights by this rowdy group unfortunately. Overall a nice hotel and good value for what we paid. However if I was booking as a family I would have concerns about bookings of young single-sex groups being accepted.

From walking through the door and having such a fantastic welcome from reception, fizz for the adults and ice cream for the boys, everyone has been so welcoming and made our stay extremely enjoyable! Cleaners are cleaning inside and out all day, maintenance crew are always doing something, kids star camp is absolutely amazing boys aged 7 and 5 loved their time. Location is central to bars and lovely restaurants. Food has been good, something for everyone with theme nights as well, extensive drinks on the all inclusive menu. Rooms are cleaned everyday and beds made. Rooms are basic but functional. Going to be sad to leave.

Very nice experience just next to the beach. Our kids really enjoyed it with a lot of activities and such a friendly staff. Buffet was good with different food every day. My son made a lot of new friends in the kids club. Nikolaj was especially always happy and welcoming!
