This is definitely the place you want to be with small children (age 10 & under). If you have teenagers or are looking for a place for a romantic getaway, this might not be the place for you. The Great things: 1) Location: you can walk right out of the hotel to the beach & enjoy the clear blue water & white sand. There are palapas to rent for the day, but we just used our sand mat that we brought with us & the towels from the hotel. 2) The staff was very friendly & accommodating. Jesus at reception was particularly friendly & accommodating. Our housekeeper, Evangeline (I think) was great! 3) They have 1 restaurant & a snack trailer (food truck). All the food was good. Darame at the food truck was excellent & friendly! My husband & son definitely loved the guy cooking the omelets. He was fast & efficient & they were really good. The good, but less than great: 1) The hotel is dated with its furniture & decor. The accommodations are adequate. We stayed in a "Sea View Apartment". We did have a lovely view. It was 1 bedroom & 2 day beds in the living room & 1 bathroom. The bed in the bedroom was actually two twin beds pushed together. Not super comfortable. 2) There are no elevators & the bell staff is limited at all times 3) The entertainment was good. Some nights it was geared towards the kids, but most nights it was geared towards both the kids & adults. Bingo & darts were really fun for all. 3) If you're looking to be by the port or old town Alcúdia, its about a 25 minute walk from the resort. We enjoyed that walk to & from, but some may not. 4) The main pool was overrun with kids. The "quiet/lake" pool was less so. We never got in any of the pools, so I can't speak to their temp (heated or not). Overall we had a nice time, as young kids don't bother us. However, for the cost, we expected a slightly nicer room with a few more restaurant choices.
Has been going to Iberostar hotels a lot in South America. First time in Europe Location is good right on the beach BUT hotel does not provide beach umbrellas and chairs, you have to pay €9 per person per day. Rooms are clean but very outdated. The plugs are not working well , Airconditioning is not working at all, no ventilation in the bathrooms. Very bad thin pillows one per person, having a neck issues. The sofa beds don’t recline. The website says “ directly on the beach “ so I assumed that the beach belongs to the hotel as well as the beach equipment but I was wrong. So “ all inclusive “ we have to pay € 27.50 per day for umbrella and chairs. Description says “ free parking on premises “ the parking is free but it’s a street parking, extremely hard to find a spot. The food is good. 👍
Outstanding and the waiter called Angel looked aftwr us to the highest standard
Fantastic hotel! beyond expectations angel and manold especially best family holiday ever
I just returned from staying at this hotel for 6 nights with my 2.5 year old. Where do I start - I have very mixed reviews about this hotel but I would say it would be more negative than positive. The room was an apartment - very spacious and great facilities with the kitchenette fitted and generous balcony. However the room needs major upgrade. Everything feels old. The AC is not fully functioning and I believe it was circulating bad air as I have come away with swollen glands. The TV doesn’t work properly with no added bonus of Netflix or chromecast for some down time in the evenings. You can hear all guests walking outside your room - thin walls. No air circulation in the bathroom - leaving the entire place smelling bad if you don’t open the patio. Bedding is very poor and I felt like I wanted to come home by day 2 - as I was not sleeping very comfortably. The location of the hotel saves it entirely - it’s on a beautiful beach and literally that’s it. Hotel doesn’t provide sunbeds on the beach. The food - where do I start. Breakfast - good variety but very poor hot drinks. There is a large queue to use 2 coffee machines to make tea and coffee and honestly the coffee is disgusting. Lunch - very poor choice. Lack of choice for kids and very repetitive Dinner - some nights are good dependant on theme but by day 4 I had enough and ate out. Lacked flavour and variety. Not much choice for kids apart from pizza and some hotdogs which looked suspiciously old. Food truck is full of unhealthy frozen food - nuggets, chips, burgers and hot dogs. You can tell the hotel budget themselves with the food. It should really be a 3 star. Limited ice cream options Drinks were okay but still very limited. Zero snack options - apart from weird looking sandwiches in the fridge. The kids pool is very good - my daughter loved it. Large pool is good but very busy and overstimulating. Would I recommend this hotel - honestly no.
