⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 out of 5 stars We had a fantastic stay at Waves Club Cala Barca and would definitely recommend it for families. First impressions were excellent — the resort looked just like the photos online, everything was spotless, and the staff were friendly and welcoming from the start. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were able to get to our room straight away. Not everything was fully explained, but it was all easy enough to figure out once we settled in. The resort is very family-friendly, well laid out, and easy to navigate — even with a buggy. Everything felt close together, and it’s well lit up at night which made getting around after dark simple and safe. Our accommodation was excellent. We were upgraded to a central room close to all the main amenities, which was ideal with young children. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard, with fresh towels replaced regularly. Air conditioning worked perfectly, and although it could be noisy during the evening shows, that was expected. We had a nice little patio area on the ground floor too, which was lovely for relaxing. The only downside in the room was the lack of kitchen essentials. There was a fridge but no sink or washing-up area, which made things tricky with a baby as we needed to clean and sterilise bottles. We managed with a kettle and the bathroom sink using the drinking water points across the site, but it wasn’t very convenient. The food overall was fantastic. There are multiple buffet options — Mexican, Mediterranean, and a general all-round restaurant offering a wide variety of dishes with daily specials such as oysters, sushi, and fresh salmon. We mostly used the main buffet as it catered well for everyone. Between main meal times, there were food vans serving things like chicken pops, chips, and toasted sandwiches, which was a great touch when you got peckish. There’s also a small convenience store on site for essentials. The bars had a great selection of drinks — from cocktails and slushies to soft drinks, coffee, and tea. The self-serve drink stations and pour-your-own beer machines were brilliant and kept queues down. The pools were excellent — clean, well maintained, and a good temperature. There was a splash pool for the little ones (a big hit with our daughter), pools for older kids, and quieter areas for swimming. The small private beach was beautiful with warm, shallow water, though it was quite stony underfoot, so water shoes are a good idea. The play areas were safe and sand-filled, perfect for toddlers and young children. There’s also a kids’ club (we didn’t use it) and evening entertainment, though we preferred grabbing some food and spending time at the park instead. The staff were incredible — definitely one of the best parts of the resort. They were friendly, amazing with kids, and always ready to help. Their attitude really makes the place shine. My only real complaints would be the lack of kitchen facilities in the room and limited entertainment options for children beyond the pools, park, and beach — the arcade was quite dated. Also, note that if you need to see a doctor, it’s a paid service. Overall though, it’s a clean, welcoming, well-run resort that’s great for families. With a few small improvements, it could easily be a 5-star stay.
We have stayed here twice in the last few years. I’m afraid I have forgotten names so I can’t thank people individually. We had a room overlooking the pool, The room was always clean, outdoor areas nice and clean, asking the chefs for special dietary foods at their busiest time was no problem, the management/ dining room team were excellent, when one of our children had a minor incident, management were excellent with organising medical attention and enquired after their well-being later. children entertainers were very good. If I was to make one constructive comment, the playground could do with a little love. We would stay here again Thanks F + J and Kids
Returned in June after an amazing experience last year & it was even better than the previous one. Facilities are top draw but the thing that sets this place apart are the staff. Robert & Toni my 2 young girls left believing you were superheroes. The quiz, the bingo, the club song, everything an unforgettable memory. Jeroni/Pani you run such a slick operation I don’t know how it’s possible with so many guests, we were instantly remembered & made to feel like VIP’s from day 1…. A truly unforgettable 7 days.. Only 360 days before we’re back…
We stayed at Iberostar Waves Club Cala Barca as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children), and we had an amazing experience. The pools were incredible — plenty of space, wonderfully maintained, and perfect for both kids and adults. The children’s activities were outstanding, keeping our two little ones entertained from morning to evening. One of the biggest highlights was the brilliant selection of vegan food. We were genuinely impressed by how many choices were available: vegan pizzas, desserts, ice creams, breakfast options, lasagne, and even vegan “chicken” curries. It made mealtimes easy, enjoyable, and delicious. Overall, a fantastic family resort — highly recommended for anyone, especially those looking for great vegan options!
Spend a day at Iberostar Waves Club Cala Barca in Mallorca, and I can't rave enough about this gem of a family resort! Tucked away in the serene Mondragó Natural Park on the east coast. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from the staff set the tone for a truly relaxing escape. The all-inclusive dining was a highlight: five fantastic restaurants kept things varied and delicious. We devoured fresh Mediterranean buffets at Restaurante Mediterráneo, savored sunset dinners with grilled meats at the beachfront Beach House, . The poolside bars served up refreshing cocktails and ice creams, and the food quality was top-notch—plenty of fresh seafood and international flavors to suit every palate. Hats off to the friendly bartenders who remembered our go-to drinks! Evening entertainment was lively but not overwhelming—think live shows under the stars that had everyone smiling. And let's not forget the direct access to Cala Barca Trencada beach; it's just a short stroll away, perfect for lazy days building sandcastles. The staff? Absolute stars—attentive, multilingual, and genuinely passionate about making your stay magical. Sure, peak season can bring a crowd, but the resort's massive grounds (bigger than 10 football pitches!) ensured plenty of space to breathe. If you're craving sun-soaked family bliss with eco-friendly vibes Waves Club Cala Barca is highly recomendable 🌴🏖️
