Iberostar Waves Club Cala Barca

We had an amazing week at Iberostar Waves Club Cala Barca and couldn't fault the hotel or their team. Despite being peak season queuing was minimal, always a friendly service and no difficulty getting a lounger (some people would queue for a lounger right next to the pool .... this is their own daft choice as loads only a line away on the garden (approx 10 steps from the pool side). The entertainment programme is awesome with something for everyone every hour of the day. Great quality gym, sports and fitness classes for all abilities. Evening entertainment was of high quality and varied and great to see a move away from the standard kids disco with the same 10 songs on repeat. As with any Iberostar the food and drink options were amazing, even my kids couldn't stick to nuggets and chips (though they could of). The only slight downside is the location is quite remote so no walking to other bars etc though we knew this before we went. Loads of walking through the Mondrago park and exploring nearby coves and an easy bus ride to nearby Cala Dor. I would definitely return.

We had a great ten day stay, the only sad thing was coming home! All the staff work tiredlessly but a special mention to Bobby in the entertainment team and Nicoli in housekeeping and the wonderful steak chef in the Mediterranean restaurant.

First time here on a recommendation from a friend and we were all blown away by how perfect this was for our family. We stayed in block 44 and had spacious rooms next door to each other and within easy reach of the main area and beach. The variety of pool areas and restaurants made each day different and all enjoyable. The whole resort is very clean and all the staff are extremely helpful. A nice touch is the ice cream parlour and also the food trucks are great for an alternative eating option. During the stay it was our granddaughter’s 9th birthday and she was made to feel very special from breakfast through to her birthday dinner at the beach restaurant. A special mention to Heana? at the beach restaurant who went above and beyond to secure champagne flutes for the adults to enjoy our drinks from when none were available. A special mention also to Mary who looked after our rooms and even left something for the birthday girl. Whilst here we used the bus service to Cala D’Or and to the beach at Cala Mondrago - so easy from right outside the hotel. We wouldn’t hesitate to return with our family!

We had an absolutely brilliant family holiday that lived up to all our expectations from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and some lovely sweet treats, which was such a lovely touch. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble for the staff. We didn’t even have to carry our luggage to the room, as a buggy transported us across the resort — a fantastic start to the holiday! We had requested a family block and were allocated Block 42, which was perfect for us. It was around a 5-minute walk to the main area, while also being really close to a pool and the beach. Our room was exactly as described. We did experience a slight drainage smell, but the team were incredibly helpful and quick to respond. They sent someone to assist and even offered to move us to another room, which we really appreciated. The little touches throughout our stay really stood out. The cleaners left treats that made our children smile, as well as drinks in the fridge — such thoughtful touches that made us feel so well looked after. For us, the real highlights were the **staff and entertainment team**. They worked incredibly hard and were absolutely amazing. Their energy, enthusiasm and commitment to making everyone's holiday memorable really shone through. We loved the different themes and saw some fantastic entertainers. The Kahoot quiz each evening was a particular favourite and something we looked forward to every night! There were also so many lovely extra touches throughout the resort, such as drinks and ice lollies being handed out while staff were working between different areas. These little details really made a difference. The food couldn’t be faulted. The quality was excellent and there was a fantastic range of options, with plenty for the children too, including their familiar home favourites. We particularly enjoyed the beach and Mediterranean restaurant for a slightly quieter buffet experience. The kids absolutely loved the food trucks during the day, and the ice cream shop was a massive hit! The shop on site was also really well stocked, which was handy. Cala D’Or was only around 10 minutes away by taxi, but honestly, we only left the resort once because there was simply no need to — there was so much to enjoy within the complex. **Overall, this was a fantastic family holiday.** The combination of wonderful staff, brilliant entertainment, great food, beautiful surroundings and all those thoughtful little touches made it a truly memorable stay. We would absolutely return and have no hesitation in recommending it to other families.

Don't be food by the photos online the Place is absolutely filthy around the main pools. You can tell it ain't been cleaned properly In probably months. Bird poo everywhere parasols loungers and floor. No one in the area cleaning. Multiple drains blocked around pool lost of dirty standing water and where the tiles are so uneven there is dirty puddles in multiple places. Glass panels everywhere with hard water stains can't see through any just needs a wipe but evidently not been happening for quiet a while looks horrific Water or fizzy for kids that's it (found two juice stations on the whole of site which is huge) Cocktails are artificial, have ready made mixes that taste off nothing like a cocktail. It's not a cocktail it's essentially squash which I wouldn't have a issue with it they were tasty which there not. Staff are fatigued and not that friendly at all, not seen a single smile as of yet apart from the cleaning lady's who do a fantastic job cleaning the rooms and are really friendly. Stuff broken everywhere from ice cream machines, drinks machines. Spent the day by the pool at our room. They only had larger or water available for 2 days as it was broken. Staff manning didn't report it as broken as you would expect so it's was still broke 24hrs later. Lost our sun cream 24 euro from the shop in site Hardly any bins around main complex Main restaurant avoid at all costs. Food the worst here and it's get so rammed. Got sad how the beach gets left on a night time crap everywhere. No one bothers to clean it up. Obviously not them making it. But it's the parks responsibility to look after the environment Don't matter about the positives because u shouldn't come here. Had a awful time and it's all preventable. Filthy place still here just want to go home
