O7 Cala Ratjada

Firstly lets start with the good bit. The entertainments team are amazing. They all work hard to give the best experience of the holiday and I would give them 5 stars if we could break the review process down and they are the only reason this review does not get a zero star experience and the only reason I would return to this hotel. Now lets look at everything else. Food - We arrived late into the evening around 2330 due to a delayed flight. We tried to get some food for our children to find two tray, of long since plated, sliced ham and cheese. That was it. even the cling film that was placed over the top had rolled it self up, bedded down for the night and I swear I could hear it snoring. there was no drinks not even fresh water to attend to our thirst so please plan you arrival during the day. the rest of the week was little variation. Breakfast was simple, dinner was simple, evening meal was simple. Very plain, bland and boring. Also if you do decide to have a Hamburger or Hotdog from the Barbeque, please check who is cooking. We had two different people one was attentive and checked the meat to make sure it was cooked. The other wearing his EarPods, listening to music, will even direct you to go inside to get your own slice of cheese to put on the burger rather that take one from the fridge next to him with a full tray of fresh slices. This was a blessing really as while you walked inside the sunrays hit the meat and actually stopped the burger from mooing. This was a novelty though as it is the only time i have had a cheeseburger where the cheese has caused the burger to melt. Air conditioning - is widely available in reception and the dining room apart from that, good luck finding it. We complained every day to be told it would be fixed - never got fixed. We asked to change rooms - all the rooms are full. We threatened to move onto the sofa's in reception - we got given a fan reluctently by the staff. Reception staff - knew good English Phrases such as - Not available - we will get someone to look at it - no late checkout - did I mention not available. They were very well versed in using these. Pools - On our first day of using the pool we found it very murky and unable to see the bottom. On the fourth day of being there we found out that there is a lovely dolphin mosaic on the floor. This was not visible from the side of the pool for 4 days. it was only vacuumed once during our stay. It is a bonus that the pools are large enbough to handle the amount of guests in the hotel and there was not too much of a problem of overcrowding or getting sunbeds and i never saw the donkey derby race with the towels early in the morning to reserve sunbeds before breakfast which was a nice change So overall, if you like to live life on the edge and put up with this poorly managed and maintained but want a fantastic entertainments team this is the place to go. If you want a holiday of not putting up with this just because you have arrived there go somewhere else.

3 room changes in 24 hours light's not working /dirty/shower not working. Rude reception manager. This is how they treat people with a disability. Dirty pools.

Stayed for 8 nights,food was ok,lunch mostly better overall.Room ok have to pay for safe box,staff in restuarant very helpful always clearing and cleaning tables.Barstaff,well young spanish barman very arrogant,3 times he told me had no blanco(white wine) until the evening,very bad .Was totally rude to many people,Barman in bar near pool was fine,reception staff all ok,1 can,t remember his name was very nice and helpful.Couldn,t keep my room longer until pick up transfer,Jan dep manager very helpful too.Overall was ok beach quite close and shops, but i wouldn,t return,entertainment starts 9pm finishes dead on 11pm so does bar,(not long enough)team was good samantha was lovely.
