O7 Cala Ratjada

First time staying at this hotel . Was not impressed. Was no proper air con , I had to complain in reception area which also had a weird damp smell in there anyway when I went down the following day as I arrived late that day there was a big que of complaining customers about the rooms: air con . I was given a slightly better toon but once again air con was still bad. The room looked like prison cells . Overall the food was ok, nothing special sometimes same left over food from the day before . Pool area is nice and overall Cala rajada area is lovely . They need updating the rooms

I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights in August overall we had a good stay. Room: The room we had was dated but clean the aircon worked but not very well. The balcony door was hard to open and by the last day I could not open at all. Food and drinks: Food was average all inclusive for a 3 star hotel there was a good selection and they did a Mexican theme night which was good. More theme nights would be better. Drinks were good branded soft drinks, slush, tea/coffee,wine, Amstel, sangria,spirits and pre-made cocktails. Had to pay €1 deposit for cups that you got back when they were handed back. Pool area: The pool area is good with two large pools and smaller ones joining them. They could do with cleaning though. Sun loungers were comfortable and there was a lot available. Staff: Staff were friendly and polite in restaurant and bar. Entertainment staff did a great job. There was a lady trying to get people to do reviews so any 5* reviews I would ignore because she most likely asked for these to be done. Cleaners were great and come in every day apart from Tuesday. Entertainment: There was day time entertainment and night time entertainment everyday. Some nights were singers, bingo or karaoke. There was also a mini disco each night. Location: Location is great close to harbour/centre and there are shops and restaurants within 5 min walk of the hotel. Beach is around 10 minute walk away from the hotel. Overall we had a good holiday but we were lucky with our room as from some photos others have put on if we had a room like that the holiday would have been ruined. This is a lower end 3* hotel and would probably say it’s more a 2*.
