Protur Safari Park

I’m just going to start this review to state I never leave bad reviews! I always leave positive reviews to support businesses and I have never had left a bad review for any all inclusive hotel I have booked in the 8 years I have been going abroad! Honestly do not believe the previous reviews! My brother and his family booked this hotel due to the good reviews regarding this being an exceptional hotel for a family with young children however the hotel is completely opposite! Whilst my brother fiancé and 16 month old niece stayed here the weather was not great so they closed the outdoor facilities and bar and opened the indoor bar however they provided nothing to keep the young kids entertained such as board games or music etc they was sat in silence. I arrived a few days later and the weather was much better however the entertainment was next to none. My brother and niece was poorly when I arrived projectile vomiting all throughout the night with terrible diarrhoea. They reported this to reception multiple times asking for support ie doctor or food bringing to the room but was denied saying they had to to go to the onsite doctor between 6.00PM and 6.45PM but they was bed bound so this was not possible. When I arrived at 5PM on a Saturday it was still raining and the indoor bar/entertainment hall was closed and everyone was outside in the rain. After a few hours of it raining they eventually closed the outside and opened the inside entertainment hall which a Bruno bars tribute act performed for 1 hour at 9PM which was really good! However once the act finished there was no music or entertainment. The food is terrible, the pasta dishes carbonara, spag bol taste off. The burgers, steak, chicken doesn’t taste like it has been cooked properly. After 24 hours of being at the hotel I felt extremely poorly so I went back to my room, I spent the night waking up every hour throwing up and having diarrhoea Inbetween and so did my sister in law, and her stepmother. The next morning I went to reception to explain how poorly my brother and family has been since getting to this hotel and I am now extremely poorly and asked if I could do an early check out so I can catch a flight home and get refunded for the days not used as I did not want to spread this illness to anymore guests however the reception refused saying I booked non refundable, nothing they could do essentially saying it was my fault for not paying the extra for a refundable booking and they did not care if I made more guests poorly in the meantime. They did not offer me any support such as brining food to my room or did not tell me to isolate so I had to go to the restaurants feeling extremely poorly spreading my illness to ensure I had some food! Fortunately after 48 hours have passed I no longer felt poorly and could try to enjoy the rest of the holiday. The food was still terrible and no entertainment throughout the day but I managed to enjoy my day then I went to the bar and seen a notice stating ‘we would like to inform you that a small number of airborne virus cases have recently been reported within the local area. While there is no cause for alarm, the health, comfort, and safety of our guests and team remain our highest priority’ please see my photo to see the full notice however this took 0 accountability that the virus was in the hotel and multiple guests was suffering!! The notice just stated it was in the local area!!!! Honestly chose any other hotel in the area this hotel does not deserve the ratings it has received!!! There was also blood stains on my pillowcase when I arrive which wasn’t changed for 3 days however I forgot to take a picture of this. I will also add there is a mini golf course which is free of charge which might entertain older children and there is a waterpark however this involved an additional charge and was not suited to adults or children over the age of 5! I am truly disappointed after spending over £800 for my room for 1 week and given no support, decent entertainment for children or edible food!

Only good thing is the food and even thats questionable given our party returned with S&D & stomach bugs. Waste of money. Rude staff particuarly the reception.

We have been to Mallorca a number of times and we divided to come back for our 34 wedding anniversary. It’s the first time at this hotel and I can say that it is the best place we have stayed in Europe The room is spacious and will set out The hotel is spotless, the staff are all very friendly and the food is exceptional The main buffet is great and the themed restaurant make it feel like a five star hotel by just adding a bit of something special That’s to all the staff and we are looking forward to the rest of our stay We will definitely be back for another relaxing stay Thanks Mark & Steph

We stayed in May 2025 as a family of 4, having also stayed at the adjacent Protur Biomar 5* hotel the previous year. While the Biomar was lovely, we felt it was limited in daytime activities for children for those not wishing to send their children to the kids club. The Safari Park hotel seemed much better suited to familes with children which is why we went for it - and we were not disappointed with the additional activities that it offered. The highlights were the excellent mini-gold courses, which provided endless fun; the outdoor heated pool; the indoor pool for rainy days; the splash pool with pirate ship; the nature reserve with animals; the free bike hire alllwed for some lovely family bike trips; and the kids loved the koi karp fish in the ponds. A few negatives to list: the rooms provided a shower cap, tissues and shower gel, but it was odd that no soap was provided for handwashing. Overall the hotel cleanliness was excellent. Our only complaint was that there was no brush or mop available in oir room, which felt us unable to keep the place as clean as we would like - especially on days with lots of sand after a beach trip. There was a daily maid service, but they often neglected to sweep the balcony area. One other minor issue was that the handwashing sinks outside of the restaurant were not working while we were at the hotel. The food was overall very good, with our family very happy with the breakfast and dinner options. The only area for improvement would be better lunch snack options. Most of the lunch snack options were fast food style (burgers; kebabs; etc.) but it would have been nice to be able to order a sandwich or a toastie or a baked potato - as we had been able to do at the Protur Biomar. The drinks felt of poor quality for a 4* hotel. In particular, the apple juice for children was very sugary/syrupy rather than fresh juice - so we had to water it down to be able to give it to our children. The coffee was also of a poorer quality (instant?) and as coffee lovers we were disappointed not to have anywhere to get a nice coffee while on holiday - especially when the adjacwnt Protur Biomar hotel had offered such good coffee to us the previous year. It was disappointing for all outdoor drinks to be served in paper cups. A recyclable non-plastic clear cup would be much nicer. Lastly, the wine was not very nice at all, which was a disappointment. All in all, it was a good hotel and a holiday. The hotel is largely worthy of its 4* rating except in the areas for improvement I've listed above, where those areas felt more 3*.

Spent an all inclusive week here with family. No young children so can't comment on facilities for them. We found the hotel to be clean and well maintained. The food was good and varied enough to not get bored. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Some of the entertainment was a bit lacking, and finished at around 10pm so had to go out of the complex to find some nightlife. Location is good. Just a 10 min walk to the beach. Just a note on the beach: There are comfortable sunbeds to hire at the nearest part of the beach, but the cost is ridiculously high! There may be somewhere cheaper further down the beach.
