Protur Safari Park

So far I like it here, I’ve enjoyed the pools and the water polo, the entertainment is very good for the kids, and I would recommend staying here during the summer

We stayed at Protur Safari Park in Sa Coma for 10 nights in July 2026, as a family of two adults and our 17-month-old son, and overall we had a brilliant holiday. The hotel is very big, with plenty going on throughout the day. There are poolside activities, football, a kids’ club, two mini golf courses, boat rides, daytime entertainment, evening entertainment and more, so there is always something to do. Despite the size of the hotel and the number of guests, it never felt too overwhelming. There are plenty of large and smaller swimming pools, all of which were clean. We did have an issue with the baby pool, which unfortunately turned our son’s swimwear green, but this was dealt with by the hotel manager and resolved for us. The pools can get busy, but we never felt they were overcrowded. There were also more than enough sun loungers. We never felt the need to get up early to reserve one, and there were always loungers available throughout the day. If you want a front-row bed directly in front of the pool, you may need to get there early, but otherwise finding a lounger was never an issue. The splash park was brilliant for children, with plenty of sun loungers around it. It was clean, fun and a great addition for families. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we never had any issues with requests. The drinks service was particularly good, with very little queuing and quick service. There was plenty of choice, with even more options available if you were happy to pay extra. One tip would be to take a Stanley-style cup or flask with you, as the staff were more than happy to fill these with your drink of choice. This was great during the day as your drinks stayed nice and cold, rather than having to use the paper cups. Glasses were used in the evening. The food was good overall, and we never struggled to find something to eat. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, during the day and in the evening. The snack bar was also handy, although we found the food there was quite repetitive each day. If you wanted more choice, you could head back into the main buffet restaurant. One thing to be aware of is that we found the food was generally warm rather than hot. We also had one evening where the potato wedges were cold and undercooked, but this was an isolated issue for us. The bookable restaurants are definitely worth trying. There was an Asian, Indian, Italian and a Country Grill, although we didn’t try the Country Grill. We really enjoyed the others we visited. Just make sure you book early, as bookings open at 2pm each day and the popular times can go quickly. The location is great. It’s only a short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants, as well as the beach. We would also recommend walking into Cala Millor, which took us around 20–30 minutes. Our transfer from the airport took around 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, depending on the route and stops. The hotel, rooms and grounds were all clean and well maintained. Our room was spacious and was cleaned every day apart from two days during our 10-night stay. The only thing we found was that the air conditioning didn’t feel particularly cold. This was more to do with Spanish regulations rather than the hotel itself, but it was something we noticed, especially with our 17-month-old, who was waking up soaking with sweat during the night. The hotel did help us when we raised this with them. Overall, we had a really good family holiday at Protur Safari Park. It’s a large hotel with lots to do, a good location, plenty of pools and facilities, and we never felt short of things to keep us entertained. There are a few minor things that could be improved, particularly the temperature of the food and the air conditioning, but these didn’t take away from what was a very enjoyable holiday. We would definitely recommend Protur Safari Park to other families looking for a fun and relaxing holiday in Sa Coma.

This hotel is amazing, we took our 6 year old son and there was so much for him to do . We had such a blast and no complaints. We will be doing a return trip next year , thank you

We had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. The food was amazing with plenty of variety, and we genuinely couldn’t fault it. The staff all worked incredibly hard and made a real effort to ensure everyone had a great experience. There was so much to do for children aged 9–13, which kept them entertained throughout the holiday. The poolside was brilliant with great music playing during the day, creating a really enjoyable vibe. The rooms were a great size too, so we never felt cramped or like we were living on top of each other. The only reason I’m giving 9/10 instead of 10/10 is the air conditioning. It wouldn’t go below 21°C, and with daytime temperatures reaching around 37°C, the rooms became quite uncomfortable, especially at night. If the air conditioning was improved, this hotel would easily be a 10/10. Overall, it was an amazing holiday, and we’d happily return
