THB Bamboo

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel - would highly recommend for couples/solo travellers for its quiet, peaceful vibe. The whole hotel was clean and staff were lovely throughout our stay. We stayed in a standard double room - be prepared, it is small! We couldn’t fully open our suitcase on any floor space and there’s nowhere to store your empty cases either, so it stayed in the doorway our whole stay. Also very little space to put clothes, but, it was absolutely fine for the two of us on our 5-night stay. Be aware that the toilet is pretty much in the room - the door doesn’t fully close (just pulls to) and it is frosted glass so you can basically see in - a bit awkward!! We opted for a room with a ‘lake view’ and are glad we did, as the rooms at the front of the hotel overlook a very busy/noisy road. Breakfast is brilliant - so much choice! Two swimming pools, plenty of sun loungers (we were here before peak season though), and only 5 min walk from the beach. Plenty of shops and restaurants around, and a very short walk to the bus stop to head into the port or elsewhere. There is an air conditioned gym with showers which you’re free to use as soon as your arrive/whole day of your departure. You can also re-fill water bottles in here which saved us a lot of trips to the bar/supermarket throughout the day. There are bikes you can take out for the day (€11 for the whole day) so we took a nice ride around the lake and nature reserve. Would stay here or in any THB again after our stay - really enjoyed.

My husband and I have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. It has a lot of positives but also a few negatives, hence not giving it a 5 star review. First the positives- every member of staff that we encountered at this hotel were kind, professional, friendly and welcoming. They all work so hard to make your stay as good as it is. At 7am each morning, dozens of members of staff appear and clean the place from top to bottom. The whole pool area is scrubbed and mopped every day. The location of this hotel is great in relation to the beach. It's literally a 5 minute walk away. The facilities at the hotel. The swimming pools and surrounding areas are clean and comfortable. There is no shortage of sunloungers, and there was no silly sunbed wars where people get up early to reserve a bed. The bar by the pool was really reasonable(compared to the rest of Alcudia that was extortionate). We actually spent the majority of our time at the hotel during the day because the beach bars were seriously overpriced and not a great quality either. We had breakfast each day in the hotel. We travel a lot and it was possibly the best breakfast buffet we have ever had. It was a huge selection and always fresh and well cooked. Now the negative and although it's a very short list, it was a big deal for us. The rooms! Our room was the smallest hotel room we've ever stayed in. You could just about move around the bed. There was nowhere to put our empty suitcases and they were blocking our door. The bathroom isn't a bathroom, it's in the bedroom. The toilet is in a tiny frosted glass cubicle about 5 foot away from the edge of the bed. The door doesn't seal shut and you can see through the glass. It was awkward and uncomfortable. Nobody wants to sit in there and go to the toilet with someone else in the room listening to them!! The aircon was rubbish. The lowest setting was 22 degrees and it didn't seem effective at all. The mights were hot and uncomfortable and we ended up sleeping with the balcony door open but this wasn't ideal as we were overlooked by several other balconies. It's a shame. It felt like so much care and attention had been put into the rest of the hotel and the room ruined it for us. We wouldn't return to the hotel because of this.

This is our 3rd visit to this relaxed chilled hotel. The friendly staff keep this place spotless. As previously we again opted for half board and enjoyed the selection of food on offer at breakfast and dinner. There’s plenty of sunloungers to go around. The hotel is situated near lots of local shops, restaurants and the beach. The bus service is easy and cheap to use to head to the old town / airport.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 10 days and it was absolutely perfect! The hotel itself was beautifully clean and modern with multiple pools, a bar and a food truck that served lots of options of high quality lunch options and snacks throughout the day. There were always lots of sunbeds available throughout the day, more than enough for everyone and no need to get up super early to reserve them. The rooms were lovely and modern, spacious enough for 2 and were cleaned and we were given fresh linen and towels every day, the cleaning ladies were extremely friendly and polite. The balcony was lovely and we had a sea view at no extra cost! There was also a gym open 24/7 which had a water dispenser where you could refill water bottles whenever you liked which was a great convenience. The lovely girls who worked behind the pool bar throughout the day were very friendly and efficient and service as a whole was 10/10. We had an issue with not getting our shower to work and after ringing the reception the maintenance team were in our room and had sorted it within 5 minutes. We opted for a ‘room only’ board as we wanted to experience local restaurants and cuisine whilst we were there. This was perfect as the hotel was situated right within the town. There was a huge selection of restaurants within the town, we ate somewhere different every night and there was still more options. The town is lovely, a mix of lots of reasonable places to eat and then some more high end restaurants. We also visited lots of bars in the evening and everywhere we went the locals were lovely and accommodating. Multiple supermarkets within a 1 minute walk from the hotel so everything was so convenient. Even though the hotel was so close to the town it was still lovely and peaceful and we did not hear any noise from anywhere at night or during the day! Perfect for a couples getaway, could not recommend this hotel anymore, no complaints at all.

As a relatively young couple in our mid-20’s, this hotel met our expectations, and likely exceeded them. Starting with the non-negotiables, the entire hotel was clean, tidy, and the staff couldn’t do enough for you - they were very friendly! The check-in process was fast and efficient, then off to see our room. Very clean, well-organised, with a nice balcony in our case overlooking the buzzing street below and one of the hotel bars. Depending on your preference, we weren’t overly keen on the shower / toilet / bedroom all within one room vibe, but accept that this was made clear before visiting so the hotel can’t be penalised for a lack of transparency. Each morning, our room was cleaned and we were given fresh bed sheets; a small detail but important nonetheless. As for the rest of the hotel, it was consistent in that it was well looked-after and a perfect environment in which you could fully switch off and enjoy some much needed rest. We woke each day around 10am and never had an issue getting two sun beds in prime positions (as determined by my partner). The location of the hotel itself is another big plus as it is not quite in the Alcúdia Old Town itself but is close and well connected. A short walk to the bus stop and a 10 minute ride got you either into the Marina or the Old Town itself. Both have great restaurants but we would certainly recommend the Marina / Port D’Alcudia if you want a relaxing but delicious meal followed by some drinks and perhaps some live music afterwards. Our only criticism, and it’s not the end of the world, was the food served around the pool throughout the day. It wasn’t great quality and there weren’t an abundance of options. But given the many great food options around the hotel, this was mitigated. All in all, a relaxing experience at this hotel and we would both return if we revisited Alcudia in the future.
