THB Bamboo

Stayed here for one night, it was right at end of season so incredibly quiet! Hotel and pools were spotless, really helpful and friendly reception staff. Rooms were on the small size but well equipped. Toilet was tiny. Beach only 2 mins away, and hotel looks out over a huge lake.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at THB Bamboo, the staff were all very polite and friendly and happy to assist with anything. Great location, with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and the beach all close by. HOTEL: The hotel itself was spotless, and the rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. Safe is included and not at an additional cost which is appreciated. We went in October, but there were plenty of sunbeds all with umbrellas. The rooms are smaller than most and compact, but how much time do you really spend in your room on holiday? The toilet is small which maybe isn’t ideal for some. Cleaners do start cleaning around 9am and some noise can be heard from the corridor but if you put the do not disturb sign on the door you will have no issues. ROOM: We were on the 5th floor and had a view of the main road, zero noise on a night from the street. We had an issue with a noisy neighbour one night and went to reception, where the night porter came and dealt with it immediately and then no problems the rest of the trip. FOOD & DRINK: Pool bar serves great food and drink, all reasonably priced, and not hiked up due to it being a nice hotel. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, as we were room only, so can’t comment on the food/drink in there. One day they did run out of beer by the pool on draught and instead of offering to go get it from another bar or restock, they just said they didn’t have any. We went to the inside bar and he was more than happy to help and apologised and gave us some complimentary nuts. OTHER NOTES: One thing I'd note is for October, the aircon was fine; however, if you come in peak summer, the aircon is set so you can't leave it on while you go out, it isn't the most powerful of systems and clicks off whenever you open the balcony door. Only negative I have from the whole stay. Overall, fantastic relaxing trip, just what we wanted and made even better with a lovely hotel, thank you!

Approx 1hr transfer from airport via the A32 TIB public bus, stop Ciutat Blanca is 2 mins walk from hotel. Super efficient checkin from Manuel with my request for high floor view of lake met. Double room 534 was very compact with certain areas quite tight on space particularly the toilet, but very spacious shower. A few small tweets to better utilise some wasted space would be beneficial. No slippers or robes, but hairdryer (a tad temperamental) fridge, kettle and safe. Tea and coffee restocked daily, but no milks or creamers - always have my own so no issue. Great idea of refillable water carton but more points of refill other than the gym (especially when its raining) would be nice. Large TV with several UK channels, no USB ports but enough sockets. Our diddy balcony was aesthetically pleasing and had great views over to the lake and mountain, but completely lacked privacy. The towel rail came in useful but it was apparent others felt uncomfortable too especially with the neon night light. The chair and stool combo is a bit uncomfy for one, but impressively when I raised this on my online survey day 2 another chair thoughtfully appeared. We enjoyed excellent food and drinks around the pool which was truly peaceful and relaxing........no kids, idiots or bed hoggers! Supermarket across the road, but loads around the area as too restaurants and shops. 5 mins walk to beach and about 30 mins along the promenade to Port with good choice of restaurants, 20 mins further to the Old Town. The hotel is bright modern and immaculate inside and out. The staff professional, friendly and an absolute pleasure. Even the storms could not spoil our stay, we loved it and would certainly return.

The Bamboo is a wonderful hotel, clean rooms and public areas, a very nice pool and sun beds, and poolside bar, and a great breakfast served each morning. As a blind solo traveller, I really appreciated the help and friendliness of all of the staff in the hotel. Each and every one of them did what they could to help me. I am an independent blind person, but it was reassuring to know that the staff were on hand all the time to support me if required. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I walked through the door at 2am to be welcomed and checked-in by Max, who describes himself as “just the night guy”. He’s much more than that, he’s extremely intelligent, fluent in Spanish, Catalan, English, German and Chinese! Max showed me to my room, gave me an orientation tour of the room, and advised that if I needed anything at all, just dial 9# from the phone and he’d be right there. He was so friendly, each evening, if he saw me in the lounge bar when he came on shift, he would always pop over for a friendly chat. Roxanna gave me an orientation tour of the hotel, and I was well served by Monica and Isa at the pool bar, Christina and Manuel in the restaurant, Paco and Junior at the lounge/terrace bar, and Manuel and the rest of his team at reception. Octfabio, the pool lifeguard was also on hand to ensure I got to where I wanted to be. I spoke to the hotel manager before I left, and told him that he should be very proud of his fabulous team, Although the hotel itself is excellent, his team are his biggest asset. He told me he certainly was very proud of them. I will definitely be returning to the Bamboo next year.

Lovely hotel in a great location, less than 5 minute walk from the beach and promenade. Staff attentive, service good and all areas including our room kept spotless at all times. Breakfast was perfect with loads of choice. My only con would be the lack of a proper bar area and entertainment for the evening time.
