Amazing cycling hotel and perfect for a sportive holiday. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and ideal for relaxing after a long ride. Excellent bike facilities with secure storage, maintenance space, and everything cyclists need. Dinner was delicious with quality food, and breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice to prepare for the day. Friendly atmosphere and great service throughout the stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an active holiday with comfort and great hospitality.

We stayed for 4 nights and thought the hotel was excellent. Great position by the sea, very clean, food in restaurant was very good, self service and lots of choice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again!

We spent a week at the El Cid at the beginning of April and really enjoyed our stay. Our room on the 6th floor had a great view, much better than the "side sea view" implied! The room was clean and comfortable with a good size balcony and a small fridge. A kettle was available but the two coffee sachets weren't replenished when the room was cleaned. My husband did manage to get a single sachet from one of the cleaners on a couple of occasions! A little maintenance would make the room even better. The flooring is very poorly fitted with some gaps in places and very squeaky in others. There are two outdoor pool areas but the least windy option was fenced off and the pool empty! The pool area at the front of the hotel is lovely but the pool temperature was pretty chilly at this time of year. There were plenty of sun loungers but that may be due to the time of year and temperature! The indoor pool is very small and not as warm as it could be but it was a good option for cooler days. The sauna area has to be booked so we didn't use that. The choice of food at breakfast was excellent with continental and cooked options, including made to order omelettes. The coffee was very good. On this occasion we had half board. Although there were a lot of options, there weren't many vegetarian options. As with many buffets, the food was hot fresh from the kitchen but the heaters didn't keep it hot enough. There was a microwave available which we did use a few times! The paella was always kept hot and every one I tried was excellent. For a Spanish hotel, 6.30 to 9 for dinner seemed a bit early. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby but these were far busier during the day and early evening at this time in the season. The bar area was very spacious and very quiet, so we tended to go out for drinks after dinner. We loved being able to walk into Palma along the promenade. It's about 5 miles and hugs the sea all the way, passing a couple of little villages. For those less active, buses are approximately every 15 minutes and only 2 euros per journey. We also walked along to El Arenal. The hotel is right by the beach. Another bonus is the journey to the airport - 6 minutes by taxi!!! There were lots of cyclists in the hotel and it has its own storage area. We would definitely look for other adult only hotels. It was really noticeable how calm it was - especially at mealtimes!!!

I’ve had a wonderful stay at the THB El Cid hotel. The location is perfect, just by the beach, but the tourists are not walking directly under your windows. It’s so easy to get from and to the airport. Someone could say the room decor is simple, someone would call it minimalistic, for me it was modern, with a nice balcony, comfortable bed and very spacious bathroom with combined shower and bathtub. Everything is very clean and the service is wonderful. Everyone was so kind and helpful. And then the restaurant - both the breakfast and the dinner are delicious, with an unbeatable value. Huge choice of food, from local specialities, thru really everything you can imagine and more. You can grab a table outside and enjoy dining with a view to the beach. Thank you for a very pleasant stay and I’ll be happy to visit you again.

Wonderful hotel, i have stayed many times and always had a perfect stay, staff are so freindly, rooms comfortable and modern, food tasty and great selection. Spotlessly clean. We were on a cycling holiday as are most guests in April and the hotel caters very well for cyclists in terms of bike room facilities and food choice. It feels like being home every time i stay and that says it all for me! All our group always have a great stay.
