TUI BLUE Alcudia Pins

I have so much to say about this hotel but first of all it’s how careless and rude the staff are they are unkind confrontational. The issue with food is really bad the food is bad quality and when people want to take their little piece of croissant or anything with them your not allowed this hotel prioritises throwing food in the bin literally taking the food out your hand and putting it in the bin furthermore the all inclusive hardly covers anything only disgusting drinks not even a ice coffee after paying so much money they also cannot even provide ceramic cups for tea of coffee and insist on having it in plastic cups which are highly toxic these people don’t have a clue about hygiene or safety will never be visiting again.

We visited the Alcudia Pins hotel in May, a couple of weeks before the English half term holidays. The location is excellent, a small gate and path leads you to the beach direct from the hotel pool complex. There is a supermarket attached to the hotel (very expensive) and another a few minutes walk away (not as expensive). There is a gym that has decent equipment and they provide free water and towels. Very good standard of cleanliness throughout. The hotel had a very chilled atmosphere, there were plenty of sunbeds available each day and the pool side bar was open daily from 10-6. We were self catering and our room was adequately equipped to make simple meals. The room itself was clean, spacious and the bathroom was large with an excellent shower. There are a number of restaurants on site, we didn’t go to the main restaurants as we were self catering but the BBQ restaurant was hit and miss. The first visit was excellent, the second the food wasn’t as good. The Crispy Corner snack bar was also hit and miss, it felt like they were just starting out for the season and lots of the things on the menu weren’t available. It was also very expensive. There is an excellent restaurant a 10 minute walk away called Can Tango - really really good. There is a bus stop right outside that takes you directly to Alcudia main town. Simple tap on and tap off with your phone or bank card. The hotel arranged a taxi for us very early on the Saturday which was very kind. The staff are all lovely, very helpful and friendly. There is evening entertainment if that’s your thing and a daily pool programme and activities schedule. I’m sure during the summer months this place is full to bursting as it’s a large complex but we were blessed with pre season quiet time! Overall we had a wonderful stay with no concerns. Thank you!

Nice hotel. Close to beach. 3 pools and separate adults only sunbed section. Staff all helpful. Room very clean on arrival and had a part sea view at no extra cost. Sunbeds always readily available. Bus stop literally outside the hotel with a 5 minute ride either way to bars and restaurants. Can't really comment on food as we were self catering but had a pizza from takeaway which was good and reasonably priced. Bar prices as expected 4.50 euro beer 9.00 euro for cocktail.

We have just returned from an excellent week at Tui Blue alcudia pins! For context we booked this because it seemed extremely good value (£1300 for half board plus) for 2 adults, 4 year old and a baby. We have not been to a family style resort since we travelled with our own families years ago and did have quite low expectations based on some of the older reviews. Overall experience: - rooms were big, well laid out for young families and spotless. Plenty of storage and all you would need for a weeks stay - the 4 pools were excellent and even when busy there was enough space to make it relaxed… however they are COLD so best to prep kids in advance! - the food at dinner is probably best described as basic. The main restaurant could get quite busy and full on but the sea view version was much calmer and nicer (maybe time of year). No issue with quality of food as such but it just didn’t seem very exciting. - breakfast was much better with omelette stations etc. Only issue we had was the hot drinks and fruit juices were all from a machine. - a good mix of brits and other Europeans which made for a nice experience for our kids to meet lots of new friends! - plenty of activity options for small kids although would say not well advertised (wish I’d realised about the app earlier). - we had no idea what to expect for evening entertainment but it was fab. ABBA and elvis acts were v impressive for midweek. - the beach is absolutely stunning! For us this really made the hotel so worthwhile and I don’t feel this could be replicated in many other areas. - some really nice beach bars / clubs within 10 min walks if you are looking for something more special (all seemed very kid friendly). - bus stop to alcudia old town 2 mins from hotel and very easy to use. Can be busy and does seem slow considering it’s not actually far. All in all I would say this hotel has clearly improved based on previous reviews and for what we paid we were blown away. It was quite busy for May so I would say even for high season there is plenty of space. Would maybe avoid if you are looking for a high standard / choice of food. The location is hard to beat if you are looking for options to explore as well as convenience for young kids.

We have just come back from here and all I can say is, we had a brilliant time here. It was absolutely spotless, room was fantastic, with bedroom with bunk beds for the kids, large balcony, all staff were extremely helpful and polite, would definitely return 😀
