TUI BLUE Alcudia Pins

We have just returned from a 5 night stay in July with two adults and two teenagers. Overall, the hotel is very nice. It is very clean, well staffed, good service and good food selection. We loved that there isn't a culture of bed-hogging and no matter what time of the day we went to the pool, we always got a bed. Obviously the best beds go early but there is enough for everyone. We went all inclusive and enjoyed the options, although no premium spirits were included, only a small selection of local spirits, for example, they didn't stock any dark rum which my husband drinks, but he drank local brandy. Cocktails are pre-made from a tap but tasted fine. When we arrived, our room was wrong. It was 1 am and with no manager on duty, there was nothing to be done. However, by 8.30 am it was all sorted. We didn't receive any compensation for having the wrong room for the night, but the fact that it was sorted so quickly was a relief. We didn't press the issue, just tried to enjoy the rest of our holiday. There was plenty of food options and lots of fresh fruit and salad. There is a choice of one ice-pop, one ice-lolly and one ice-cream included in the all inclusive all day, plus some basic snacks, and self-serve drink stations, including constant access to cold water machines. The pools and activities were good. Because we were travelling in the summer holidays, it was very busy with young children. It definitely had great options for younger families. Not so much for older ones, although ours did enjoy a game a polo and the showing of the World Cup Final. The hotel is right on the beach, which was lovely and clean. Pool floats and balls are allowed in the pools so we made our own fun. Beach towels are provided and can be changed as regularly as you like. Location wise it was good. We hired a car and the best places were driving distance away, but we did notice the bus stops right outside the hotel on the main road so it looked well-connected to the local towns. There's nothing much within walking distance outside of the resort. We would definitely stay again and would recommend for those with younger children.

My first time taking my daughters (5,10) on my own. All staff were friendly, much more so than other resorts I have been to. Very clean - it got busier towards the end of the week as six weeks holidays commence and any cups etc. were down to pure laziness of guests who did not walk 5 steps to the pool bar to drop their cup back. This is a family holiday destination, my girls really enjoyed making some lovely friends and this felt very safe. Inflatables allowed in the pool, children's section at the buffet. This is the first time my 10 year old has been/wanted to go to the kids club and she really enjoyed it (free, easy to use/register by the app and turn it as you want it). It was reassuring that there was always lifeguards by the slide pool and the main pool, who were actually paying attention. Cute candy floss machines/ice cream and popcorn by the stage/bar for n evening - cash or card. There was usually something extra like water zorb balls, hair braids etc. which would be cash. The astro pitch is right next to the entertainment so lots of kids playing there of a night, We were half board with breakfast and dinner, which was lovely. Much better than other 3 star resorts I have been to. The beach is beautiful, I was a bit worried about seaweed from other posts though this is fine. There could be little patches though nothing like normal seaweed, very easy to walk straight through it if it was there for all of 3 steps if there was some then completley clear sea. There were some waves though this added to the fun for kids. My recommendations would be to take snacks/plenty of sun cream/wipes etc. with you as it is very expensive to buy there. For e.g. a pack of wipes £5 euros. Pony rides (cash) just to the right of the hotel of a late afternoon- early evening. Take plenty of mosquito spray etc.!! I used Jungle spray and still got bitten. If you are a light sleeper/have very young children I would not recommend block D as this was noisier than other blocks due to the location. Just loud in the hallway with people returning of a night and echoing. I would return, which I would not say about many places as we like to try different areas.

We went to Alcudia pins as a family of 6, 4 adults and two children aged three and five. We had rooms in the C303 and C306 The family room C303 was two separate bedrooms a kitchen area with living room and a bathroom with shower. C306 was just down the corridor so ideal for a family wanted to be close , it was a double bedroom with sofa area kitchen and a wraparound balcony looking out to the sea. These are one of the largest rooms that we’ve had on a holiday. The great thing is you don’t have to get up early to reserve your sunbeds as they have a sunbed guard, if you leave your towels on a sunbed unattended before 9 o’clock and not sat on the beds, he will collect not only your towels but any personal belongings and take them away. I think this is great, because it means people have more of a relaxing time knowing they can get a sunbed without getting up at a ridiculous hour. Your beach towels can be changed free of charge on a Saturday and Monday but any other day there is a cost. This hotel is set right on the beach and is literally 50 m from the sea. Every morning a tractor cleans the sand. There is a pier 200 m from the hotel where you can catch boat trips which is ideal There is plenty of pools. The main pool has entertainment on during the day as does the pool behind C and D-Block There are three good areas for children with slides. There was two main restaurants, we tended to eat in the grill as it was closer and the food was very good and you could eat outdoors. However, the main restaurant offered more variety. The meats changed daily and they have theme nights example Mexican, seafood, Italian There is a park for the children, which has high trampolines which our children loved going on but there is a cost for this €6 for about five minutes but definitely worth it. I would suggest anybody going should take mosquito bite cream as the hotel has no control over this but they were out and did bite The entertainment on an evening was okay but found the singers and the drummer around Traverna restaurant during the day the best There is a bar and a Mobile bar around the entertainment area. where all inclusive drinks can be served , so you don’t need to queue for long at the main bar. The Traverna restaurant is a tapas bar and you can book it for one day during your holiday if you were all inclusive. We had a meal there and it was very good. The only disappointing thing was on a nighttime The Traverna bar which is a quiet area, you have to pay for the drinks, even if you were all inclusive The bedrooms were kept clean, however they could do with changing the sheets more often, especially as everybody’s hot and sweaty with the heat I would say that this is a great hotel for families

Couldn’t wait to see the beautiful beach and sea to be greeted with black bark sea ! Couldn’t go out at night to enjoy the entertainment as your being eaten alive by mosquitoes, Room was modern and clean but stunk of mould I was in room g320, some of the staff was quite rude, has sickness and diarrhoea for 2 days, no beach activity even though in there Tui pictures it clearly shows peddle boards on the beach Just a disappointing experience I’d waited a year for.

Stayed here for 5 nights thinking it would be quietish before the summer rush. Wrong! I think if it wasn’t as hot I would have had a different experience so not the hotels fault. I felt a bit sorry for the staff who worked tirelessly in the heatwave. I struggled to have an appetite as nowhere to eat that was cool. Best option I found was eating takeaway from the Korean food truck in my lovely air conditioned room. Got protein shakes, yoghurt and pastries from the hyperdino for breakfast. I felt safe here as it was very family friendly. I didn’t witness any heavy drinking or trouble. It was very good for what we paid so that’s why 4 out of 5 review.
