TUI BLUE Grupotel Mallorca Mar

Just back from a super week with family at Mallorca Mar. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming starting with the receptionist on arrival, the lady in charge of the restaurant, chefs and the entertainment staff, special mention to Ashley and the girl serving drinks in the restaurant. The food was great and varied with plenty of choices for the vegans. Pools and entertainment for a 4 and 9 year old were very good too. We lucky to get room 7218 overlooking the sea.

Hotel drinking water tasted of bleach, food was worse than I make myself at home, daughter was poorly whilst there messaged them no reply. Room wasn’t cleaned towels and sheets with sick on left in the bath not removed. overcrowded everywhere, one bar open in the evenings to get drinks which is a 10 minute walk across a road from the far side of accommodation. Stayed at many TUI blue hotels - this one is the worst by a country mile.

We have just had 5 nights here with our 6 year olds. We literally had the absolute best time! Staff are incredible, they work so hard!! rooms immaculate, swimming pools are fantastic! The food was really good, fantastic themed evenings, always really good hot food options (paella, pork belly, pastas, pizzas, pastries, salads, fruit (so much fruit), cheese, mexican, ice creams and deserts! And wonderful, every type you can imagine, toppings for everything) The entertainment was fun. The acrobatics night was incredible, the magicians fantastic (people properly gasping for both - predominantly adults 🤣... Kids just sat there with mouths open in amazement!). Pool aqua fit was such good fun, and the games were brilliant, but only a couple of times a day, the rest of the time it was very chilled (as chilled as it can be with families having fun). Plenty of sun beds, if you'd like one with a parasol near the pool it's an earlier start, but we always got sunbeds around the pool each day with no insane early start. The sea is so tranquil and beautiful, sun rising each morning was beautiful to see. People swimming off the pier in crystal clear waters. I'm wondering if I should now delete this review so it doesn't become hard to book and too expensive. 5 wonderful nights. I will add the only downside is the airport, border control for families is absolutely insane!! Nearly two hours in a que, with one to two people checking passports for non stop flights on the way in. On the way out we nearly missed our flight and had to run with bags and kids to only just make it (when we had left plenty of time!) Also, the supermarket is really well stocked! You can get things cheaper in the town, but for convenience it's brilliant. We would 100% stay again. I'd say it's a fantastic place for young families with children 15 years and below

Top tip - this hotel is based around the children so is not really suitable for couples. Only a small section of the evenings were for the adults to enjoy, the rest of the time it was all for the children. The hotel and room were nice. Food was good. Not all drinks are included in 'All Inclusive'! We are an older couple and we went in May. It was very busy with children, couldn't use the adult pool because it was full of children. Had to squeeze past all the pushchairs parked outside the restaurant each night. This is advertised as a family hotel but we thought they might also consider the couples too! We went out most days for some peace and quiet!

Beautiful location, easy walk into town, very clean, friendly staff, spacious apartment Lovely stay and play sessions for under 3s, good quality cots and high chairs available to hire, lots of space for our toddler to play, plenty of high chairs in the restaurant, chilled atmosphere, quiet at night time Unfortunately food and drinks were really not good, standard was nowhere near as good as other 4 star all inclusive hotels we have stayed in.
