TUI BLUE Levante

We were a bit worried after reading the reviews about the sunbeds, but as we are not bothered about sitting by the pool we have been pleasantly surprised. Location - very central. A supermarket directly opposite and lots of places to eat and drink at reasonable prices. If you want to lie by the sea you can hire 2 beds and a parasol for under €17. The area is not rowdy. Rooms - we had a superior double. Lovely see and view of the pool. Very quiet. Water provided daily and a bottle of red wine on arrival with 4 pieces of fresh fruit. We arrived quite late and they let us go and eat and then check in. Bathroom - a walk in shower, plenty of hot water, nice toiletries, fresh towels frequently, a non slip mat and a shower stool. Bathrobe and slippers always a welcome extra. Eating - the buffet restaurant has a huge choice. It you cannot find something then you are very fussy. Lots of fresh fruit and cava at breakfast. Staff are excellent. The a la carte restaurant was beautiful. We had a sea view. The gym is a let down for a hotel of this size, otherwise it would have been a five star rating. The equipment is very poor. There is plenty of space to upgrade this. The indoor pool is lovely. It's heated and has walkin steps and a hoist for those with access problems Outdoor pool also has a hoist and walk in steps. You need to be up by 7am for a sunbed. The sun terrace is lovely. A view of the sea and surrounding area. Toilets and showers available, but no pool. Overall, we have really enjoyed it. Much better than we expected.

This hotel is very clean in all areas. The staff work extremely hard in all areas too. They are friendly and helpful. One person who stands out for us is Noella❤️ the lovely lady who worked hard and kept our room in tiptop condition, clean sheets and towels every day. Doing it with a smile and always happy. We were amazed that in some people's reviews, they complained about the choice of food at breakfast and dinner. The choices at both are so vast, that we find it hard to believe they couldn't find something they liked!!! All of it delicious 😋 The guests are on the older side, but all friendly, we're no spring chickens ourselves 😂 We suggest you ignore the negatives and give it a go. At the end of the day its what YOU make it.

Disappointed To be honest we have only arrived today. The hotel does look very nice It's our room 😭 ok it is standard. It's my husband's birthday today and I e mailed MONTHS ago to see if we could have a nice standard room, I think we have one of the worse. Second floor, a tiny balcony looking straight at the spa and other apartments and I guess the noise tonight will be awful Tui blue......,,,4 star the first hotel I have been to with no tissues in the room. For what we paid the room location is disgusting

Friendly helpful staff from reception to restaurants to bar to pool to cleaning staff. The hotel, rooms, corridors and public areas were kept immaculately clean at all times. The food offered at breakfast and for evening meals were of great variety, I'd say something for everyone. Food was regularly checked and topped up too. Our room was well appointed with a large bathroom and walk-in shower. We really appreciated the daily bottle of water, tea and coffee facilities with fridge. Our chambermaid kept our room clean with regular towel and linen changes. Particularly impressed by the young lady lifeguard by the pool. Always smiling, always patrolling, always busy keeping the pool area tidy but still interacting superbly with the pool users. Overall a great place for a relaxing holiday but a couple of negatives. 1) The main entrance revolving door was out of order throughout our stay. The ground floor communal toilets had a urinal out of order for a week. Perhaps there were major issues to resolve but not a good look and suggests lack of maintenance. 2) Daily scrabble for sun beds begins early. Staff try to remove unattended towels at 0700 but difficult with determined people sitting there till breakfast then not returning till much later in the day. Could the pool area terrace be extended to accommodate a few more beds or incorporate the beach sunbeds into the "free sunbeds". Sufficient beds for all in the pool/beach area would remove the need for the early scramble other than for the determined few.

We last visited The Levante 10 years ago and the hotel has improved massively in that time. The hotel itself is immaculately clean in all areas, the rooms are small but there is enough storage and the bathrooms are nice with a powerful shower. The rooms have a complimentary bottle of wine and also a large bottle of water replenished every day even when we hadn’t finished the previous days. The pools and the sunbathing area is quite small for the number of guests although there is a beach alongside the hotel but you have to pay for the sunbeds. Speaking of sunbeds there aren’t enough around the pool and by 7.00 am most of them are taken by some selfish clients who don’t use them until late afternoon. You know who you are. The hotel has a notice in various places around the hotel saying towels placed on unoccupied sunbeds before 7.00 am will be removed but this never happened. The food is very good with lots of selection at breakfast and dinner although the young man who prepares the omelettes has a difficult job as he only has rotor small front pans and the queues soon start to build up. The hotel should introduce a hot plate to cook the omelettes as they could prepare more than two at a time. The entertainment was very good we enjoyed the show each night and the bar prices were decent too.
