Our first visit to Viva Blue (and Majorca) and we loved it, didn’t want to come home. We had a selection club 1 bed apartment which was lovely and modern and super clean. The shower was especially amazing! Housekeeping was done everyday and to a high standard. The balcony looked out over the pool though we didn’t actually use it too much. The bed was really comfy and even the sofa bed was too. Food wise, we were only B&B so didn’t sample evening meals. Breakfast was mostly brilliant - plenty of choice from pastries, cereals, muesli, pancakes and waffles, lovely fresh bread with meats and cheese, fresh omelettes and usual fried items. Between us we tried almost everything and it always tasty. Lots of choice of juice too - especially the red berry nectar juice was delicious. There were a couple of days where the fruit wasn’t quite as fresh but overall we were really happy. We did have a couple of snacks from the pool bar on the first few days wouldn’t rate this particularly well. We started popping either to the shop on site or one of the supermarkets outside to get bread, cheese and meats to have for lunch on the balcony. We also grabbed a pizza from sorrento restaurant up the road which was delicious! Entertainment was again mostly fabulous. The animation team were amazing and knew all the kids by name. The kids clubs and activities were brilliant. Especially a huge thanks to Alba, Laura and Filipa - our daughter adored them and didn’t want to leave! They had options such as loom bands, football, uno etc. for while the main entertainment was on in case the kids didn’t want to watch. I would say generally it is catered for younger children with the disco etc. but there are still activities going on for the older ones. The pools were fab. We lucked out with weather so the coldness wasn’t really an issue other than the kids pirate pool which seemed especially cold and was noticeably quieter than the rest. My daughter spent most of her time on the bouncy pillow! This was fantastic but can get a little rowdy at times. The selection club (oasis) pool was well worth paying extra for - much comfier beds and the pool was definitely warmer than the others. There were a couple of incidents with ‘accidents’ in the pool though - not a fault of the hotel but maybe a reminder about swim nappies and doubling up might be helpful! We also never struggled to get a sunbed - generally people weren’t out and about at the pool before they opened at 10. The location was good too, about 2 minutes walk to the beach which was lovely. If you walk a little further up the water is crystal clear and really beautiful. Bus stop right outside on the main road to Alcudia and c’an picafort. Only time we had any trouble getting a bus was on market day (we ended up walking most of the way and jumping on a bus further up). Playa de muro is pretty quiet - it’s just one strip of shops/restaurants but we found plenty of nice places to eat and did venture to Alcudia a couple of times too. Valls ice cream across the road is absolutely outstanding too. The little on site shop is brilliant and often cheaper than the supermarkets outside. There is fresh bread, pastries and donuts there everyday and a fantastic selection of drinks and pretty much anything and everything you could want. The staff in here were also lovely. Finally, the staff in general were all lovely and would really go out of their way to help you if they could. We had a late flight and were able to keep our room until 7pm. This was a huge help and meant we spent all of our last day in the pool and managed to get out to Alcudia for a final meal which took so much stress away. We didn’t notice anything over and above normal levels of mosquito bites. Out of 3 of us only one had around 4/5 bites and the other two had none. We would 100% recommend viva blue and would definitely consider returning again - but potentially rent a car to explore the island a little bit more.
I went to this brilliant hotel with my three year old, 9 month old and husband. We loved every part of it.. the food, the amazing animation team, the cleanliness of the place, the entertainment and how much there is for the children. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The gardens are beautifully kept and maintained. I recommend any family to go there.. the beach is also stunning too and a short walk away (5 mins). We would love to go back .. our daughter loved it. The animation team and sweet corner made it for us as well as the wide variety of delicious foods each day.
We have just returned from 10 days at this lovely hotel. We had a 1 bed apartment which was spacious, comfortable and very clean. We had a balcony overlooking the nature reserve and loved watching the birds and sunsets from here. The room key was a fob on our wristbands which we thought was a great idea. The pool was great - my son loved the bouncy pillow, and it wasn’t especially cold. No problems getting sunbeds and lots of parasols. The food was fairly standard AI buffet fare - great breakfast, lovely salad bar and the rest was fine but not necessarily the highest quality. We only ate at the pool bar once as we preferred the buffet, and we had a nice meal at the à la carte restaurant. The sweet corner was brilliant though - my son lived mostly on cookies and there was a great selection of ice cream all included. Plenty of entertainment in the day and most of the evening entertainment was enjoyable, with the option for kids to play football or video games instead. The staff were great and went above and beyond to make the holiday enjoyable.
We have just returned from a fabulous holiday at Viva Blue! Our children had the time of their lives and didn't want to come home. There is so much to do with lots of activities and entertainment on throughout the day. Staff are amazing and so enthusiastic with the kids. The mini disco and evening entertainment are the best we have been to. The hotel has a really nice feel to it and has a nice lay out. Just big enough to have a good atmosphere but not too busy that it feels overwhelming. Selection club pool was well worth paying for, huge comfy beds, heated pool and a chilled vibe. Rooms were great, clean, spacious, sofa bed was absolutely huge and our children slept well the whole holiday! Lovely food (we were half board) loads of choice and nice that there was a different theme every night (but still had things like pasta/pizza available every night which was fab for the kids) Staff/management work really hard and go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. We would absolutely come back to this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Me and my family has been to Viva Blue two years in a row and we love the place. We have two kids who has really enjoyed the activities: crafting, painting, getting face paints, glitter tattoos, the Pirate disco etc. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! The pool area is very nice and the food is good. We can really recommend this hotel for families with kids.
