Viva Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa

We had an excellent week at Viva and this was our first time visiting. On arrival, we were allocated a ground floor room beside Sweet Corner. We were initially disappointed as the room felt quite dated, the air conditioning rattled constantly, and there was very little privacy on the balcony due to guests walking past throughout the day. On day two, we decided to pay for an upgrade to a sea view suite. This room was much more modern, quieter and offered far more privacy. We were much happier and felt the upgrade was definitely worth the extra cost. The food was very good overall. We particularly enjoyed the Sports Bar for lunch as it provided a nice alternative to the buffet every day. The main buffet offered plenty of choice, and the Italian restaurant was excellent. The drinks selection throughout the resort was also impressive. We didn't opt for Selection Club and, based on what we saw, didn't feel we missed out or needed it for the price. The children's facilities and entertainment are what really make this hotel stand out. The entertainment team worked incredibly hard from morning until night and made a genuine effort with all the children. My son especially enjoyed the video games and water pong activities and was encouraged by the team to join in, which we really appreciated thanks especially to Brian who was great. One suggestion would be to include a medal game section at the evening disco for the 7–11 age group, as I think they would enjoy taking part too. Bufo was a huge hit with the children, and I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the merchandise was after the disco, with most items costing between €5 and €10. We loved the beach, which is only a few minutes' walk away, as well as the Bubble Pool and the other pools, including the pirate slide pool. The only other negative was encountering a small number of rude and inconsiderate guests who behaved as though they owned the place and were unpleasant towards staff. Thankfully, this was very much the minority and didn't affect our overall holiday. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and are already planning to return next year for a longer visit.

We had an amazing stay at Viva Cala Mesquida! The surrounding area is beautiful – we were worried we may find it too remote, but the stunning views and sense of tranquillity are actually what make it so special. If you want shops and restaurants, Cala Ratjada is a short bus or taxi ride away. We travelled as a multigenerational group with parents staying in the adults only hotel which is down the road. This worked perfectly as they were able to enjoy a quieter atmosphere whilst still being able to join us at points during the day and for the evening entertainment. We stayed in block 10 which I’d highly recommend for the beautiful views of the beach and sand dunes. It also meant we had good access to the beach by a few steps or ramp. We also managed to catch the sunrise from our balcony on our last day. The food was brilliant, always lots of choice. The snack bar and ‘Sweet Corner’ were nice surprises and offered all inclusive guests with even more choice. A special thank you has to go to Mila on Guest Relations - our son’s favourite (and irreplaceable) cuddly toy was accidentally caught up in the bedding when it was changed and Mila ensured all of the bedding was searched until the toy was found - our little boy was over the moon to be reunited with it. It meant a lot to us that the situation wasn’t brushed off and that Mila took the time to genuinely help. I also wanted to say how fantastic the entertainment team are. They all have so much time for the children and make their holiday so special. In particular Antonio and Elena were amazing! On our last night they both made such an effort with our son - Antonio wasn’t even on shift but came running over to say goodbye and have a photograph, which put the biggest smile on our son’s face. We would love to return one day, as it was such a wonderful family holiday from start to finish.

This was our third stay at Viva Cala Mesquida, and overall we had another very enjoyable holiday. Highlights: * Excellent food selection at both breakfast and dinner. In our opinion, the variety and quality were even better than during our previous visits. * Multiple swimming pools, including a very nice indoor pool. * Beautiful, wide sandy beach just a short walk from the hotel. * Guest parking is a major advantage, especially considering how popular Cala Mesquida beach is and how difficult parking can be during the day. * Spectacular views from many parts of the resort. * The Royal Suite was excellent, especially the private jacuzzi. * Several playgrounds and facilities for children. * Well-equipped kitchen in the apartment, including a refrigerator and freezer. * Very clean rooms and public areas throughout the resort. * Friendly and professional reception team. * Overall, the hotel is maintained to a very high standard. Areas for improvement: * Compared with our previous stays, the children’s animation team seemed less attentive and engaged. We experienced a couple of situations where our daughter felt overlooked during children’s activities. * English communication among some animation staff could be improved. * The main restaurant can become quite crowded, especially at dinner time. However, it remains manageable, and breakfast is very comfortable if you arrive earlier. * English skills among some housekeeping staff are limited, although this did not create any significant issues during our stay. Overall, Viva Cala Mesquida remains one of our favourite family destinations in Mallorca, and we would happily consider returning again.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. All the staff seemed to genuinely care about the enjoyment of their guests from cleaners to the entertainment crew. Bofu was outstanding!

Amzing place for familles, the See is juste near the hotel! The pools are very appropriate and for all ages! They are ungfortunatly cold at this time but it's normal ! The breakfast is excellent and I want to thank the mini club and maxi kid staff, especially Elena, Lucia and Antonio for their Incredible energy, kindness, laughts, they are so perfekt with children and Make an amazing Atmosphere... Thanks to you 3 so much ❤️
