Viva Eden Lago

We had a great experience in the viva lago hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, big variety of food, awesome pool for kids and lots of entertainment to keep you busy. Team is friendly and attentive, the beach 2 minutes away is stunning. Overall a great experience.

After an amazing stay at Viva Cala Mesquida in 2022, we wanted to return to the Viva family but look for a location that didn’t strictly require a car. We love Alcudia for its perfect, bustling resort feel, the beautiful old town and harbour, and those legendary family-friendly beaches where the water stays shallow for tens of metres—making it incredibly safe for the kids and relaxing for us parents. We opted for Eden Lago and got such an incredible deal that I was initially worried there must be a catch. I needn't have worried at all! While the hotel officially holds a 4-star rating, we truly had a 5-star holiday. We usually like trying new places every year, but I would 100% return here next year in a heartbeat! The Rooms & Setup: We travelled as a large family with four children, including baby twins. The hotel and the local taxis were incredibly accommodating with our size. We booked two apartments which worked perfectly for us. They overlooked the water and, despite being near the lake, we had zero issues with mosquitoes (though we did bring spray and candles just in case, which probably helped!). The Food & Hardworking Staff: Even though the hotel only has one main restaurant, the food never got boring. In fact, it was absolutely incredible and honestly among the best hotel food I’ve ever had—we never got fed up with it despite eating there 9 out of our 10 nights! What really sets Eden Lago apart, though, is the staff. Every single person works tirelessly and always with a smile. A massive shoutout to Esteve in the sports bar, Paula/Paulina, Rosa, the fantastic cleaning team, the chefs, and the extra-helpful restaurant staff. They are all amazing. Pools & Kids' Activities: The hotel pools are excellent and offer a great variety: a dedicated kids' pool and splash pool, a proper swimming pool, and a hot tub. A huge bonus was that the main pool stayed warm even when the weather was a bit cooler during our first few days. The entertainment team is great too; the kids went to the kids' club, painted T-shirts, and we even climbed the hill/mountain opposite the hotel with Rosa and the team. That said, our kids were also just perfectly content making friends and splashing around all day. Location & Local Hidden Gems: While the harbour is a bit of a walk down the main road with a pram, we actually really enjoyed the stroll up there, and there is a great beach nearby. If you are looking for tips outside the hotel, we found two great spots: To the Left: There is a lovely little deli just a short walk out of the hotel, which is perfect if you are on Half Board and want a light change of scenery for lunch. To the Right: Walk about 10 minutes and you’ll find a fantastic Super Mario soft play area. It feels like a total hidden gem—our kids were obsessed and begged to go three nights running! It’s brilliant for the children, and adults can sit back and get drinks too. Overall, we had an absolutely amazing stay and made our second set of incredible family memories with Viva hotels. We highly recommend it!

Stayed here with my partner and two boys. Stayed here for 7 days food is buffet so just as good as any buffet, food from the snack bar is good. Spent most of our time at the pool with the bouncy pillow in for the kids. So spent alot of time at that pool bar getting served by jhoanna. Unbelievable service from jhonanna very polite and friendly. She couldnt do enough for us. Really good service with a smile.

It was a great location and has the potential for a kid friends environment, just lacked being 4* we went at the beginning of the season it would seem, there were lots of works being done on the place including the kids activity area which was closed due to this. The staff were very friendly though and the entertainment was ok. Kids loved the kids disco every night, but during the day there could have been a bit more organisation with the animation side of things. If you don’t do full board then there isn’t much option to eat there but lots of places close by.

Paid for ‘selection club’ but the bed was creaky and noise travelled straight through the sliding partition doors. The ‘premium’ was some cans of soft drink and beers and some plastic mini spirits in the fridge. Aside from that nothing else stood out. The wine at dinner was cheap and sour the beer tap was awful. The staff were great though and cleaning team were really good. Hotel is dated with skirting board coming off the wall and looks tired. Gym equipment was old and either not working or just dated. Children’s pools are not heated so even though it was warm outside - no families used the kids pools
