Viva Eden Lago

The first time taking our daughter (aged almost 3) abroad, and a perfect choice! This is truly a lovely hotel, perfectly set up for families with little ones, while still being a pleasant environment for adults. The recent renovations have created an amazing child-focused swim and play area. We loved the bouncy slide and the toddler splash area. Keeping a separate adult pool elsewhere onsite allows the hotel to maintain a good balance. The location is excellent - the beach is a couple of minutes on foot and is gorgeous. The food is varied and of good quality. It was great that there was local items (Serrano ham, queso manchego, fideua, paella...) as well as 'safe' options for kids, like chips and pizza. Information around allergies was hit-and-miss at times, but the management took out concerns seriously, and hopefully this is a learning point for the restaurant team. The hotel is immaculately clean, and our room was always cleaned to a very high standard (thank you to Toni, Sofia, Ali, Rosa, David, Andrea and Emilie) The staff are consistently friendly and helpful - it is clear that the training and culture amongst the team is of a high standard. The reception staff dealt with any issues promptly and courteously. Special thanks to Jhoanna at the pool bar (always attentive and friendly, and willing to let me practise my Spanish!) and to the Animation team, who were definitely animated! Our daughter was too shy to play the daily games, but one of the female members of staff (whose name I'm afraid I don't know!) gave her a medal on the last night anyway. The Pirate Disco was always a hit! Thanks to all at Viva Eden Lago for a wonderful trip.

We made the very best of our May holiday, but I do not want to repeat what has already been said about the hotel and facilities. The 'new' children's facility is the best we have ever seen (although not used). As a member of our party was disabled, we found the 'new' adults pool a disappointment. We were led to believe that this was an adults only 'quiet' area but was daily over-run with excitable children. It will also be a huge disappointment for any disabled guests who are unable to get in or out of the pool using the regular step ladders. For a newly built pool I would have expected it to have access for disabled guests. The guest 'hot tub' is located close to the adult pool and the 'Selection' rooms but unfortunately doubles up as the meeting point for older children in the evening who run around, sing and scream late into the night. The main bar day/evening is a Sportsman's Bar so a bit confused as to the requirement of a dress code - girls, don't pack too many glam dresses. This also doubles up as the a la cart restaurant, which basically offers a burger and chips or variants. We had a 'Selection' Room giving great views of the lake and mountains beyond and made good use of the facilities it offered. As a couple, we have to admit the hotel is for Family/children guests. During our stay, no signage was displayed as to rules or safety - if indeed the smaller pool is classed as a 'quiet' area, then it should be displayed and enforced.

Location of the hotel is really convenient. Within easy reach you can visit beach and the bus stop is also in the near. Atmosphere in the hotel is nice. The staff is kind and polite. Rooms are in good condition. There are some useful equipment like hairdryer, small kitchen. Rooms are cleaned often. And the mutual space is also carried well. Usually in the hotel is quiet however sometimes music is loud. In my opinion the hotel is valuable place to spend Holiday. Animators are great especially Dawid from Poland. Greatings!

Beautiful situated hotel, nice view of the mountains and the lake. Very friendly service, and the entertaniment staff are excellent. Clean rooms and good food.

Awesome experience! Highly recommend for small kids.
