Dickwella Resort & Spa

I’m writing this review a month after my vacation on purpose — so the emotions could settle down and only the genuine impressions would remain, without exaggeration or prejudice. Dickwella Resort 4* is an honest 4-star hotel. Yes, there are some rooms that could use cosmetic renovation, and you can notice it in places. But it’s important to understand where the hotel is located — practically on a cape, surrounded by the ocean from three sides. The humidity here is incredible, so some metal elements can naturally start to rust over time. This is not about neglect, but simply the reality of the climate right by the Indian Ocean. At the same time, I personally saw rooms being renovated, areas being refreshed, painted, repaired, and improved. It’s clear that the hotel is alive, cared for, and constantly developing. I’m sure it will become even better with time. But the most important thing about this place is its atmosphere and nature. This is one of those locations you simply cannot forget. You will fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean waves. In the mornings you’ll admire the endless ocean, and in the evenings — breathtaking sunsets that stay deep in your heart. This place gives you a feeling of true peace and relaxation. The staff deserves special thanks. They are always ready to help, always friendly, kind, and sincere. The bed linen was always perfectly clean and neatly ironed. During the entire stay there was only one brief issue with hot water, and it happened very early in the morning while most guests were still asleep — honestly, it was not a problem at all. The restaurant was another wonderful surprise. They will feed you incredibly well. There are dishes for every taste and every stomach: you can enjoy local cuisine full of flavor and spices, or choose familiar European dishes. You definitely won’t stay hungry. What made it even more special was that the Chef personally checked whether everything was delicious and if the guests enjoyed their meals. And a special warm greeting to the Chef! The code phrase is: “from his soul to my soul.” And we hope that you will remember the sweet chocolate greeting with warmth in your hearts for a very, very long time 😊 This vacation has stayed in my heart. I know I will remember the sound of the waves, the ocean breeze, and the atmosphere of this place for many years. And if I ever forget — I’ll simply have to fly to the other side of the planet once again to remind myself how wonderful it truly is. Thank you, Dickwella Resort, for these memories.

Had a lovely time at Dickwella Resort and Spa. Right near the beach with an awesome pool. The staff and the service was top notch. The food was to die for! Would definitely stay here again.
