Recently stayed in turyaa and it was amazing. From the check in to the check out everything was flawless. Big thank you to Mr. Wasantha and his very professional FRONT OFFICE team.

Best place to go and relax. The atmosphere is breathtaking, the check in was done smoothly hats off to the reception team. The food was amazing. Will definitely come back again.

We stayed at **Turyaa Kalutara for one night with our family** during a weekend. This was our first visit to the hotel, and unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. As it was a weekend, the hotel was quite crowded. However, we were **not particularly impressed with the welcome or arrival experience**. It felt quite ordinary and lacked the warmth and attention we expected from a hotel of this standard. The **room itself was generally fine**, clean enough, and we had a very nice view, so there was nothing major to complain about in that regard. However, we booked a **triple room**, and the additional/smaller bed was extremely small and not very comfortable. For a room sold for three guests, I believe the sleeping arrangements should be improved. **Room service also needs improvement.** On several occasions, it was difficult to get through by telephone, and calls were not always answered promptly. The swimming pool area was acceptable, but I noticed something that concerned me as a parent. There is a **children's pool, and adults were allowed to play water games very close to that area**. With young children around, this could potentially create a safety risk. Small children cannot always recognise the danger or move away quickly. I believe these activities would be better organised around the **larger pool closer to the reception area**, away from the children's pool. Unfortunately, our biggest disappointment was the **food and restaurant experience**. The buffet variety was limited compared with what we expected, and the overall taste and quality of the food were not at the standard we anticipated. During **Sunday lunch, I also found a hair in the vegetable noodles**, which was particularly disappointing and raised concerns about food handling and quality control. The restaurant also appeared to be **very disorganised during busy periods**. There were long queues for food, and the overall buffet operation did not seem properly coordinated. At one point, we had to wait a long time simply to get a dessert spoon. The service from some restaurant staff also needs considerable improvement. In our experience, several staff members did not appear adequately trained in handling a busy restaurant environment, and the service was not particularly friendly or attentive. For a hotel in this category, we expected a much better dining experience. Unfortunately, the **food quality, organisation and service felt closer to what I would expect from a lower-budget hotel**, rather than a resort in this price range. Overall, the room and view were acceptable and the pool was fine, but there was **nothing particularly special about the stay that justified the price we paid**. Compared with other hotels we have experienced within the same group and similar categories, Turyaa Kalutara did not meet the standard we expected. The main areas that need urgent attention are: * Food quality and buffet variety * Restaurant organisation during busy periods * Staff training and customer service * Food hygiene and quality control * Room service responsiveness * Better safety management around the children's pool * More suitable bedding arrangements for triple rooms Unfortunately, based on this visit, **I would not consider the experience good value for money**. The hotel has a good location and potential, but significant improvements are needed, particularly in the **food, restaurant service and overall guest experience**.

This was my first time staying at this lovely property, and I actually booked it on impulse after seeing a post on social media. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the experience turned out to be. I have to commend the General Manager for running such a smooth operation. Our stay happened to coincide with a big staff outing, and the hotel was fully booked. Even so, check-in was seamless, and we never had to wait for a table at meal times despite the restaurant being packed. Every staff member greeted us warmly, asked how our stay was going, and offered to help make it better. Compared to other places we’ve stayed, this felt like a breath of fresh air. I had booked the Full Board Plus package without really knowing what the “plus” meant. It turned out to be a double happy hour with complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, along with the option to buy some delicious snacks—which we thoroughly enjoyed. A special thanks to Nimesh, whose ever-present smile made us feel completely at home. If I had to point out one minor detail, it would be the bathroom, which was a bit on the smaller side. But honestly, that didn’t take away from the overall experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay—keep up the great work.

Recently stayed in turyaa for the weekend and it was everything that we expected. The room, restaurant the food everything was on point. Id like to specially mention the Front office team for attending to our every need. They were very professional and friendly. Best stay ever, will definitely come back again.
