Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villa

After reading reviews, I was a bit concerned about the all-inclusive—especially as a picky vegetarian—but those worries faded once we settled into our comfortable room. While smoothies are only at breakfast and drinks are local, there’s still plenty of choice, and the water coolers throughout the resort are a big plus. As a vegan/vegetarian, we ate very well, and the dietary card made things easy. The beachside Italian restaurant was excellent—made even better by the view. Massages (650 THB) are great value, and the bike tour to the elephant sanctuary was a highlight—we even saw elephants in the wild on evening walks. Yoga is available some mornings, so check the schedule. The resort is quite isolated, but there are a few nearby spots, and transport to the market is easy. In the heat, a Bali bed (1,000 THB) is well worth it. The staff are wonderful, the resort is spotless, and our sea-view suite—with outdoor shower and large bath—felt really special. A big thank you to Mark the nighttime Manager, Piper the bike tour guide and all the staff who helped make our stay memorable. Would we return? Absolutely—perfect for a peaceful 5–7 day “no news, no shoes” escape.

What an amazing hotel. The staff were so nice and couldn't do enough to help. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned daily. The resort is in a stunning location with the pool overlooking the beach although taxis are required to get to more built up areas if that's your preference (they cost around £9 each way within a 20 minute radius). Having visited a few beaches in the area the one at the hotel is by far the best

This was our fifth visit to Khao Lak in Thailand, staying at the Apsara Beachfront Resort and Villa. We had a private pool villa which was so relaxing. Our villa was near the Napolai restaurant and bar, and we were all-inclusive. The food was first-class with plenty of choice for a two-week stay. There is another restaurant, Karkinos, on the apartment side, as well as a buffet restaurant which you can also use. There are other restaurants outside the hotel within walking distance that do great food at a cost. A big shout-out to all the staff who made our holiday a very special one. It was my wife's birthday and we are in our 50th year of marriage; our bed was decorated with swan towels, flowers, and petals. A big shout-out to all the restaurant and bar staff: Tee and all her girls who endlessly served and cleared our table religiously, Yoda, and in the bar, Nuey, Ann, Kurt, and all the others. But a very special thank you to both Emee in Reception and, as previously mentioned, Tee. We first went here 10 years ago, and these two wonderful ladies have always been there for us over our five visits. We just hope we can make it there again in the near future. Very comfy and quiet villa. Have also enjoyed a jacuzzi during the night.

The best hotel i have been to. Im from norway. Its so good service and the people who works here are so helpful especially Edsel. He made our stay so much better.
