Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villa

We had a fantastic family holiday at Apsara Beachfront Resort and Villa, booked through TUI on an all-inclusive basis. We travelled as a family of three with our 22-month-old toddler and stayed on the resort side in first-floor room 219, overlooking the pool and swim-up rooms. From the moment we arrived, the staff were fantastic. They were incredibly hard-working, friendly and always had a smile on their faces. As we arrived very late at night, it was a lovely touch to find a selection of food and drinks waiting for us in our room — a really thoughtful way to welcome us after a long journey. The food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the cocktails, with the piña coladas being a favourite! Although we travelled during low season and the restaurant was à la carte, the food was consistently high quality and the all-inclusive menu had a great selection of both local Thai and Western dishes. The resort was also brilliant for our toddler. He absolutely loved the pool, the kids' playroom (especially the resident teddy bears!) and playing on the beach. If you head down in the evening, keep an eye out for the hermit crabs — our little one loved spotting them. We booked all three of our excursions through reception, which was incredibly easy and convenient. We did the Khao Sok day trip, James Bond Island and the Three Temples tour, and also made use of the hotel shuttle to visit the local market. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and felt very well looked after throughout our holiday. Apsara is a beautiful resort with fantastic staff, great food and a lovely setting, and we would love to return in the future!

Perfect choice in khaolak area. Wonderful service and beautiful beach. Food are wonderful. Lots of activities available. Staied multiple times. Recommend!

We had an excellent stay in Apsara Beach Resort and Spa. It was not our first stay in this resort,we have been here several times before. It is the place we loved most in Khao Lak area. Be aware that Khao Lak is a long stretch of beaches. Apsara is at a beautiful location right on Pakarang Beach. To go to the main area of Khao Lak you need transport (taxi or your own car) and there is also a shuttle from the hotel several times a day. The shuttle drops you at the entrance of Bang Niang. In this review I just give a description of the hotel area, there is another section with bungalows,just across a bridge, with an extra swimming pool, restaurant and other facilities. We did not stay in the Bungalow Area. About the hotel section: This time we had an excellent stay. From the very first moment until our departure all the staff did everything to secure us a comfortable and relaxing week. Bellboy, receptionist, restaurant staff, pool assistants, housekeeping, we had no complaints. It was the smooth service with a smile,that one wishes to have. On top Mr. Golf took personally excellent care of us. The rooms were excellent value : we had deluxe room this time, refurbished, comfy beds, very good bathroom with all the amenities, excellent aircon, impressive view from the balcony right to the sea. Good cleaning also. The standard rooms are very good value as well, we took a look. Breakfast buffet was outstanding , both international and asian, with wide selection and eggstation, a range of good thea and good coffee options. Refill of the dishes was fast: if some dish was nearly finished, refill was immediately. The ambiance in the breakfast venue was relaxed and inviting. The restaurant has 2 areas: an open covered area, with fans, it’s always airy and can be closed if necessary during rain.And an inside restaurant, with large windows and cooling fans.We had room with breakfast, but we also saw people who had all inclusive. There is a daily dinner buffet, every day another theme. We had dinner there 2 times, very reasonable price, very good quality, with many choices. If you want to eat somewhere else, there are several options. If we want to eat outside, Pakarang Seafood is our favorite at appr.10 minutes walk, but as said, the hotel restaurant is also very good option. The hotel has a very cosy and relaxed beach café that offers also à la carte eating, it is right at the beach, a beautiful place to end the day. There are 2 swimming pools: one is right on the beach and the other one is partly sunny, party shaded by trees, really relaxing and an oasis of quietness. Here you can find also rooms with pool access. The whole resort is breathing relaxation, giving you a feeling of well-being. And always some cooling wind. Don't expect noisy nightlife.There are enough sunbeds. The beach is beautiful, to the left and to the right. The sunsets are incredible if the weather is appropriate. There is also a small gym with some exercise equipment. And a Spa: inviting and relaxing. There is a library where you can find books in many languages. As everywhere a lot of guests leave their books at the end of their holidays, so the choice is huge. All in all, as during earlier stays, we are very enthusiast about Apsara and are looking forward to our next visit.

We have just come back from a 7 night stay at the Apsara hotel (part of a multi centre package) and it did not disappoint. Check in was smooth and welcoming. As our rooms were not ready, we were able to have drinks in the bar as we had booked an all inclusive package which I would highly recommend especially at this time of year. Our rooms were spacious and conveniently located in the first building giving direct access to to bars, restaurants, reception and the beach within minutes. The staff were all exceptional, there were so many it would take up most of the review to mention them individually but everyone from Reception, main restaurant, breakfast and snack bars were amazing. Food and drinks were 10/10 every time. My daughter and another friend have nut allergies and the staff especially the captain in the main restaurant made sure that every meal was customer to their needs. I would highly recommend this resort and can’t wait to return in the near future.

Though only 1,5hrs away from bustling Phuket and 15 minutes from the next nightmarket, you are surrounded by lush jungle and pristine beaches. Of course it's the people that make the place; the Management, especially to mention Mr. Golf, and the complete staff make you feel like home. They are outgoing kind, most attentive and welcoming, offering a safe, peaceful and comfy tropical haven. The service is effortless and superb. The food is sooo yummy and healthy, breakfast buffet can easily compete with those in Singapore hotels, and the Pizza served at Karkinos Grill is not only unique in this area but also doesn’t differ from authentic Pizza in Naples. To put it in a nutshell, the resort is the ideal destination for those looking to unwind and connect with nature, immersing in vibrant ecosystems, enjoy breathtaking views and exotic sunsets. Just made for swinging the hammock, riding the waves or exploring nearby Khao Sok Rainforest - it’s a spectacular tropical place surrounded by the most stunning colours and greenery wherever you place foot.
