Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villa

We were lucky enough to return for a second visit and stayed in the jacuzzi garden room for a week which was lovely but for our second week we had a pool villa which was amazing.. the villas are beautiful and the landscape is well tended . The Napoli restaurant serves delicious food throughout the day with Thai and western choices, the staff are great especially tee and yuda , this year we also met the students from the Philippines teni and gab who did a great job. The beach is beautiful miles of golden sand and warm water. The hotel operates a shuttle bus to town and the market is worth a visit. Looking forward to next year

If it’s relaxation and tranquility you want then look no further, at Apsara beach resort and villa the staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming, helpful and efficient. They seem to get along more like friends and family than colleagues. The resort is literally on yue beach which seems to go on forever, there are several bars and restaurants available all offering fine cuisine beach snacks and refreshing drinks. If you’re looking fancy something a little more lively then a short and very cool tuck tuck trip to the local town can be arranged by resort reception. We will most definitely return the next time our batteries need a re-charge. Thank you everyone at Apsara you have been amazing. 🙏🏼

A perfect escape by the beach. Comfortable room, delicious food, and such a relaxing atmosphere. The peaceful vibe and beautiful scenery made this stay unforgettable. 🌊☀️

We looked for somewhere chilled, remote and quiet. This hotel delivered. Spotlessly clean, excellent food choices. Somewhere to stroll to ( over the bridge to the Villas) to find not just a great beach bar at Memories but also an elephant sanctuary only five minutes walk away. Short taxi ride to Coconut beach for change of scene where you can dine with your feet almost in the sea. Off season means Monsoon rain at least daily but those spectacular thunderstorms viewed from the bar are part of the joy of being back in Thailand - and not busy! The pool is infinitely gorgeous and about 30 meters. Highly likely that we’ll be back.

We were originally scheduled to visit Phuket in March travelling via the Middle East but our original holiday was cancelled. We then booked a direct flight for April and looked at other locations and settled on Apsara in Khao Lak. How lucky we were to discover this hotel which was a bit further from the airport than our original hotel, but definitely the right choice. On arrival we were offered an upgrade to a swim up room and dinner on the beach thrown in. No hard sell but having shown us the upgrade room and what would have been our original room we opted for the upgrade which was not too expensive. The hotel is right on the beach, has great swimming pools but most importantly the staff are what make this hotel special. Everyone was happy and provided excellent service, never once saw an unhappy member of staff. We were all inclusive and the food was very good. I was drawn to the far right hand corner of the restaurant each day for the freshly cooked Thai food. It was a little disappointing when the buffet changed to a menu service towards the end of the holiday but in the end I struggled to get through all the meals I wanted to try so wasn't an issue in the end. If there is a criticism it's that you only get 1 voucher per week for the a la carte restaurants and would have liked 2 per week. We tried Napalai restaurant twice and weren't disappointed. We also tried Karkinos on the last night and paid to eat there. Another minor criticism is that drinks in Karkinos were not included unless you ate there. Not a big problem as you have to walk about 20 yards to the cafe to get your drinks and Karkinos are happy for you to sit on the beachfront with your drinks. Another point is that even as all inclusive you can't drink in the bar next to Napalai restaurant (though don't tell the management, the lady that served us the restaurant let us stay for one drink). The drink selection is very good and great selection of cocktails. Transport in to Khao Lak village is plentiful and a maximum of 400 THB. Never ripped off or have problems getting transport either way. We travelled with TUI and the reps were very good and the company provided some great trips at competitive prices so we took the opportunity to take trips tot the Surin Islands and James Bond Island. BTW, don't miss the opportunity for a massge on the beach. It was the same price as the hotel spa but we found the location on the beach more appealing. I don't like massages but ended up having an aloe vera massage and coconut massge. My only regret was not visiting them a lot earlier in the holiday. I was asked if I would ever go back and I said we don't have a habit of returning to the same location of hotel. Unfortunately I'm going to eat my words as we are currently looking to come back to Apsara next year for 2 weeks but possibly with a week in Krabi first.
