Best Western Premier Bangtao Beach Resort & Spa

We booked through Expedia from 26th February to 2nd march 3026. We were lucky to get a beautiful room 5111 a semi detached bungalow a short distance from the beach. We rented sunbeds for 200 bhat to the first right on the beach brilliant location, especially as I could pop to the toilet, having room so close to the beach. I’m not a pool person so was highly welcomed. The beach is beautiful and clean not like other reviews I saw. Sea water was clear too.Be warned the toilet and washing facilities at this beach bar were one of the worst I’ve seen. Shame my husband had ordered food there. I warned him to check the toilet facilities as you could see the kitchen washing facilities. This is no reflection or anything to do with the hotel. The hotel was spotless throughout and we had evening meal at the beach side restaurant. Food was well presented my husband absolutely loved his sea bass. Food was well presented at a good price. I love Thai food and brought up on spicy food, however I have difficulty in getting the chef to prepare my food and they are reluctant. Even when I say I’ll sign a statement saying I want it that way. They still prepared it western style and spices in dishes. The customer should be able to ask for the meal preparation as it’s prepared as they eat it. That’s the only frustrating thing I found, rest of stay was faultless. The reception staff as well as every member of staff was amazing. They really do want you to have an amazing time and you feel you were the only person there. A massive thank you to all the staff. I can’t comment on breakfast as we were room only. The drinks and food were delicious and reasonably priced. We would highly recommend staying here and definitely would stay here again

My husband and I stayed 20/2/26 - 6/3/26. After a very long flight, 12 & 1/2 hours, direct from Manchester - Phuket we arrived at our hotel around 9am. From the outside the hotel doesn’t look much, as it’s on the main road, wait till you see the inside, it’s gorgeous and massive. We checked in and were told our room number, 5302. Unfortunately check-in is after 3pm, which we knew after having read about the hotel on their website. We had prepared for this and packed our swimwear, sun cream and a hat so it was easy to get out of our suitcases. We were given a slip to take to the restaurant for a complimentary breakfast. After breakfast we lazed around the pool, had a dip and lazed again until we could get our room key. When we had our key we made our way to our room, which was in the 5th block on the 3rd floor. There isn’t a lift and the stairs are a killer, had we realised I would have e-mailed the hotel requesting a room on a lower floor or a ground floor room. The stairs weren’t good but we persevered, it was good exercise. Our room overlooked the 2nd pool and we had a partial sea view to the right and a view of the Main Street to the left. The room was fantastic, very spacious and spotlessly clean. Cleaned every day and bottles of water replenished every day. There were complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Towels were changed every day. Bedding was changed about 4 times during our stay. We had a mini bar - a few cans in the fridge, a chocolate bar and nuts. The mini bar was not free, I would have expected it to be free for a 4 star hotel. We didn’t use anything from the mini bar, we had booked All Inclusive so if we wanted a drink in the room we got it from the pool bar and took it to our room. There was also a safe, iron, slippers, robes, hairdryer and mosy plus in our room. We didn’t use the mosy plug as we didn’t need it but it was a nice touch to provide it. The 2 restaurants were lovely, the main restaurant was buffet style and the other restaurant was waiter/waitress service. This was the Seaside restaurant which needed to be pre-booked the day before. The staff in both restaurants are all very nice, friendly and make you feel welcome, they are very attentive. We ate at both restaurants, our favourite was the Seaside restaurant. The food was out of this world (be prepared to put weight on, I did). Again the staff went above and beyond. Special mention to 2 members of staff - Johanna Mebato and Beeta - they made our dining experience special. There was never a shortage of sun loungers though a lot of guests reserved them with towels, though this is against hotel policy before 9.30am, we only saw one lot of towels moved by the hotel though lots of guests got away with it. The hotel is on the beach, and very relaxing, no loud music, there isn’t much night time entertainment in the hotel, but after a full day lying in the sun or after a day out it was nice to have a quiet drink after our meal and then return to our room, watch to and bed, which was very comfy. There are 2 areas where you can have a massage, we both had a neck, shoulders & back massage. If you want to go on any trips, trips can be booked through the hotel, TUI rep (our rep was Emma) or independently through tour shops on the main street or on the beach outside the beach bars. We booked to go to the Phi Phi Islands with a tour company on the beach, the trip was fantastic but we struggled to understand the guide. We also booked 2 other trips with our TUI rep - the Phuket Elephant Conservation and the trip to the James Bond Island - both absolutely fantastic. There is a tuk tuk taxi rank outside the hotel, which we used to go to the Boat Avenue Night Market. Absolutely fantastic experience. Our tuk tuk driver also came back for us later to go back to the hotel. This was our first time in Thailand, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, we met some lovely people, guests and staff. On day we will definitely return.

Arrived at BW Bangtao Beach after a 4 night stay for a family wedding in Bangkok. Nice change to go from the madness and chaos of the city to the calmness and quiteness of Bangtao. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the pool and with a view of the beach in the distance. No lifts at this hotel. Our twin room was a decent size with a large TV streaming Netflix (if you have an account) Bathroom had a large walk in shower. Air con was much needed and worked well. Mini bar was chargeable but they did supply 2 glass bottles of water every day for use in the room. Maid was in daily and towels were refreshed if needed and beds made. Personally I felt there was very little storage for clothes. A cabinet under the TV was too low and the wardrobe had hangers but no shelving. I hung a few things and then pretty much lived out my case. The balcony had a small wooden hanger thing for wet stuff. Pools were lovely. Not too cold or busy. Towels are lifted if people put them down and leave before 9.30am There was plenty loungers when we were there at both pools and you can opt to lounge at the beach too if you fancy it. Pool bar does do food which can be ordered to have at your lounger. They have two massage areas. I went to both and favoured the one where the ladies are dressed in green. Had a terrific head, neck and feet massage. So lovely listening to the waves during the treatment. Breakfast was nice. Pretty standard and basic. The usual cereals, breads and continental options. Nothing to write home about but the view from the restaurant looking out to the beach is so nice. There is a 7-11 right opposite the hotel which is situated on a dodgy bend. Beware the traffic (it is Thailand!) We booked two trips through the lady at the hotel. A full day boat trip to include Phi Phi Island and a visit to an elephant sanctuary. Both were reasonably priced and went without a hitch. The lady herself is very helpful and friendly and has good English so communication is easy. Plenty of places to eat nearby and we loved Siam Mumbai which is practically opposite. Food was super tasty with a large varied menu. Our stay at BW Bangtao was lovely. Relaxing and peaceful. There is no schedule here. No games at the pool. No entertainment unless you count a singer at dinner. A bit atmosphereless but this is maybe the normal in Thailand. A special mention to Golf who meets and greets at reception. A credit to the hotel he was always smiling. Very friendly and helpful.

We had a very nice stay at the Best Western Bang Toa. We were located in a ground floor bungalow overlooking lovely gardens. They were seperate from the main hotel, separated by the road to the beachvand Goat restaurant. My two only criticisms were the hotel room although large and spacious was very dark at the back end with no natural light. The safe was located near the floor inside the wardrobe but there was no lighting near it so needed our phone torch when removing contents. An absolute lack of comfy cushions supporting patio furniture and sunbeds. Breakfast was good, and the staff pleasant.
