JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa

Incredible hotel with amazing employees and JW Marriott should be proud of each and everyone of them. From front of house to maintenance, everyone we engaged with was lovely. The hotel is spotless and has such lovey touches such as sun cream/aloe vera at stations around the hotel. We ate at The Olive which was lovely the staff made an extra effort for my partner’s birthday. Housekeeping is exceptional- the best I’ve ever experienced- with an evening call to check in and see if you need anything. Thank you to each and everyone of the team - we’ll be back.

It was a great holiday. Staff and facilities were supurb. Please also say thank you very much to Khun Thanakorn Panperng (Touch) - a staff member that found my goggles and not only remembered us - but brought my goggles to us at dinner in the Drift restaurant. Also a big thank you to Jutarat Srisodsuk (Gift) on reception who our daughter loved.

This is the best Marriott I have ever stayed at, and by far the best Marriott Vacation Club - and we have stayed at so many. MVC shares the same property at the JW. Our 2 bedroom suite was gorgeous. The staff is terrific. There are many pools and the beach is long with super comfortable lounges overlooking the Andaman Sea, which is beautiful and plenty of shade. The buffet in the morning was so so plentiful and delicious. We ate at the Japanese place twice (Excellent) and the Italian place which we also enjoyed. The spa was lovely. Khao Lak is an hour and a half drive from the Phuket airport. The town was fine, but the hotel was worth staying at for dinner. Really can't be beat. We spent 4 nights there after a month in S.E Asia. So perfect.

We had a genuinely outstanding stay here. What impressed us most was the service. Every team member — from reception and housekeeping to restaurant staff and buggy drivers — greeted us warmly and proactively offered help, even when the resort was operating near full capacity. The atmosphere felt sincere rather than scripted. The activities were a real highlight. They were thoughtfully designed and felt authentic rather than generic resort programming. Special thanks to P’Nuch, Boom, Fin, P, Aun and Ben for the energy and personal attention they brought to each session — it made the experience feel genuinely engaging. We also appreciated the Ocean for All Foundation’s bamboo shark programme — a genuinely meaningful conservation effort that added depth to our stay. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and well positioned within the resort — peaceful yet convenient. Facilities overall are modern, well maintained and suitable for both couples and families. There was brief congestion during a large wedding group’s arrival, and a small misunderstanding regarding a late check-out request. Both were ultimately handled professionally, which reinforced our confidence in the management team. One small suggestion: the activity booking system could be refined, as some guests reserve spots but do not attend, limiting availability for others. Overall, this property sets a very high bar in Khao Lak. We will absolutely return.
