our family had a memorable stay while celebrating my father’s birthday. A special thank you to Mai, who was the standout of our stay. After we connected with her on the second day regarding some concerns, she took personal ownership of our experience and made sure everything ran smoothly. She was warm, proactive, and genuinely cared about our comfort. Whether it was housekeeping, reservations, or general assistance, she was always there to help and made a significant difference to our stay. Pla from the F&B team was exceptional. She helped arrange restaurant reservations, curated menus according to our family’s preferences, and played a major role in planning a wonderful birthday dinner. The food throughout the resort was excellent. Special thanks to Give for arranging the birthday desserts exactly as requested. Yoyo was incredibly sweet and attentive. She made the children feel comfortable and always ensured our dining experiences were enjoyable. At Drift, Noke provided warm service, while Merlin and the entire Thai restaurant team were excellent. The Japanese restaurant staff were efficient and welcoming. At the beach restaurant, Boom, Jay-Z, and the team looked after us very well and made our family lunch especially enjoyable. The spa was another highlight. Joy did an excellent job helping our family choose treatments and coordinating everything. Special mention to Ying and Yong for their wonderful therapies. The housekeeping team was always smiling and courteous. The first day’s housekeeping was excellent, although there were some delays and inconsistencies on subsequent days. To their credit, feedback was taken seriously and improvements were made. Check-in took longer than expected as we were a large group, and there appeared to be some coordination issues despite the staff being helpful. Check-out was more disappointing. We had already visited the front desk earlier regarding bill settlement, yet at departure there was still confusion about charges that had already been cleared. This resulted in unnecessary delays and suggested that the billing records were not fully up to date. Despite the rainy weather, we were able to enjoy most of the resort and celebrate a special family occasion. Initially there were a few hiccups..As Marriott Bonvoy members, we appreciated the efforts of many team members who went above and beyond. Mai, Pla, Yoyo, Joy, Noke, Merlin, Give, Boom, Jay-Z, Ying, and Yong all contributed to making our stay memorable.

6 of us - all adults - stayed 5 nights in 3 rooms with fond memories for each day, and not a single significant issue. Wonderful Stay. Great Food choices in about a dozen outlets - practically all, if not all, of them having air-conditioned as well as covered open-air seating. Buffet breakfast having live counters well segregated for Asian, Egg, Indian, Fruits and more as well as for Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free. Rooms having not just air-conditioners and ceiling fan but also a dedicated dehumidifier with balconies plus for our upgraded rooms direct pool access from the room! Containing sofa plus 2 chairs and enough space for 2 extra chairs to accommodate all 6 of us getting together in the room every now and then. Fast WiFi - stable VPN and Remote Desktop connections. 2 large umbrellas always in the room and 2 separate wardrobes! No shortage of loungers at Beach or Pool area - multiple choices of restaurants and bars in and around beach and pool areas. And not to forget - BBQ Marshmallows organized by the Hotel at the Beach just prior to sunset! Beach towels and drinking water at multiple locations. Location is remote - but taxis counter is just outside main gate. Staff too will assist call taxis from the counter - face-to-face as well as through the App. Convenience store and some others are just outside the hotel. Bang Niang Market and Khao Lak Centre is short 10-15 minutes drive away. Activities - we participated in several activities - Yoga, Mandala Art, Bamboo Shark Conservation Tour, Aqua Aerobics (WE cancelled due to rains), and Eco Printing. All except one was complimentary and all turned out to be sincerely and well organised and held! This is the first time that I made extensive use of Bonvoy app for communicating with the hotel - for activity booking/attending, housekeeping, room-service, call taxi, to request for room cleaning at OUR desired time (breakfast time), to call Buggy (may be around two dozen times as some of us had walking issues) - not a single one failed to come or came late. All attended to promptly and correctly. They also prepared for us eggless cake at a short notice of about 12 hours and served it in the restaurant at predesignated time of 6.45am as we were scheduled to check-out few minutes thereafter. Complaints? Nothing significant - Digital key on my app wouldn't always work, door had to closed twice to lock properly, and some of us were confused about light switches!

Great location to explore Khao Sok and James Bond island. The resort, in-house activities, spa and the overall experience were so good, we didn’t feel like stepping out of the resort on most days. The staff are so welcoming and made our staff very comfortable.
