Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach โรงแรมโนโวเทล ภูเก็ต กมลา บีช is a hotel that has a lot going for it on the surface but falls short on the fundamentals that actually matter during your stay. The location is excellent and one of the strongest selling points of the property. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and our cleaning lady in particular did a fantastic job keeping the room in order. The beds were comfortable and delivered a good night’s sleep, so no complaints there. However that is where the positives start running out. We had a larger room with a beautiful sea view, which sounds great on paper. In reality the room was clearly showing its age with maintenance issues that should not exist at a hotel of this brand. We had problems with the door and electrical issues with the fuse, which are not minor cosmetic things but actual functional problems that affect your comfort and sense of security. When you are paying for a premium room with an ocean view you expect everything to work properly. The breakfast was another letdown. The bread was dry to the point where it was barely enjoyable, and the rest of the food tasted like it had been sitting out for too long rather than being freshly prepared. A hotel breakfast does not need to be a gourmet experience but it should at least taste fresh and be executed at a basic standard. What was on offer here fell below that line. As a loyalty program member with ALL Gold and Voyager Plus status, the recognition was underwhelming to say the least. The only perk we received was two drink vouchers for the entire stay. For guests who have invested in building their status within the program and consistently choose the brand, that feels like a token gesture rather than a genuine acknowledgment of loyalty. When competing hotel chains offer meaningful upgrades, late checkouts, and substantial perks to their loyal members, two drink coupons simply do not cut it. It is frustrating because the bones of a great hotel are clearly there. The location, the friendly staff, the comfortable beds, and the views all point towards what could be an excellent stay. But when the rooms are deteriorating, the breakfast is subpar, and loyal guests feel undervalued, those positives cannot carry the overall experience. A Novotel should deliver a consistent and reliable standard, and this property is not meeting that expectation. Three stars because the location and staff deserve credit, but the tired rooms, disappointing breakfast, and lack of meaningful loyalty recognition bring the overall quality down to a level that is not satisfying for what you are paying.

location was perfect for our venue which was an event at cafe del mar, the atmosphere of hotel is good, they upgraded me showever made us wait strictly 3pm for checkin time. the rooms were great view of ocean and clean but some of facilities have outdated / not too nice exteriors like the bathroom in the lobby. the service is also fine but a bit hard to contact someone in lobby at 11pm, but at least we got someone to help over the phone, Pool was also beautiful to lounge and relax with beachfront view, restaurant feels too big but they got good breakfast choice. Finally the beds and pillows were alright but nothing special as the pillows were a bit harder that we are used. but overall still a decent stay for the price especially in that area.

Great hotel, location but packed with people and noise by the pool. First suite room big and nice, the ocean room feels empty but nice ocean view. If want relax think the villas best option. Very nice gym, great breakfast and very nice staff their special thanxs to a nepali waitress always smile. Food some good, the pasta was poor, same pizza. Should make one more small resturant top roof, paint building outside.
