Ramada Resort by Wyndham Khao Lak

Great hotel, great staff,great food. If someone is looking for a nice, relaxing holiday in a beautiful place, this is it ! The resort is not too big, with a nice atmosphere and an excellent location. It's not a party place, more quiet and relaxing yet, countless bars and restaurants are around, all in a short walk, also is the big market. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, recently refurbished. The bed was a bit hard for our liking but it was fixed in no time with a mattress topper. They also have a pillow menu so good sleep is guaranteed. The staff. I don't want to mention any names, from A to Z they are all nice, friendly and helpful with a big smile. This was our third time in Ramada Khao Lak, hopefully we can come back again soon 🙂

The Ramada Hotel is located on the beach with guest use only sun beds. The view of the sea from the infinity pool is stunning. There's a swim up bar for drinks and the outside restaurant also faces the ocean for the perfect lunch. There's music playing at both the bar and the restaurant but neither are too loud and the atmosphere is a happy and relaxed one all round. There's an indoor cafe with seating for use of the computers should you need to work, the air con is on in there, making it very comfortable to sit in. There's also a gym with decent equipment. The rooms are spacious, a twin room comes with double beds, there's a bath and seperate shower. The rooms were clean and bright with a mini fridge and TV with access to English channels (as well as German and other languages). Pool/beach towels were replaced daily. I had a garden room with a decking area and sun loungers, but we were so close to the pool, we didn't really use them! The hotel has a couple of restaurants opposite, which we didn't visit as the main bars, restaurants and shops are a 5-10 minute walk away! There's so much on offer, you won't struggle to find places to eat or drink, and it's very cheap to eat out! There's a 7-11 down the road so we stocked the fridge up with a few drinks and snacks! We went for bed and breakfast because it was so cheap to eat out, even having lunch and drinks at the hotel was very reasonable! There's a taxi rank at the bottom of the road, two minutes walk from the hotel with a list of destinations and set prices, we went to the turtle conservation at the Navy base and the driver waited for us and brought us back again. The set prices gives you peace of mind that's you won't be ripped off but the charge is one way, so you'll pay the same on return. Bang Niang market is on a few times a week from 10am to 11pm, it's an 11 minute walk, there you'll get your cheap bags, watches, clothes, etc, the street food is lovely, but make sure you agree a price before they cook it! Some will charge a lot once you've eaten!! And if you see something you like in one stall, get a price and compare it to others, I found bartering a bit awkward but you'll get ripped off if you don't! Overall we absolutely loved it here, we booked a trip to see the elephants with a temple tour and bamboo river cruise, highly recommend that and the three temples tour! This is a lovely part of Thailand, the people are so welcoming, we could have stayed for much longer! Try to avoid rainy season if you can! The end of our second week was very wet but it doesnt usually last long. Prepare for 100% humidity and frizzy hair!!

Beautiful resort, excellent service by Nony at the Sassi restaurant, Pinai at breakfast, and King at reception - they were so helpful and friendly Food was fantastic - great variety and beautifully presented Pool and swim up bar were great I’d go back again!!!
